- Friends new and old have been helping us complete our off-grid home. Our bedroom has a roof which means our 3rd story ROOF DECK is IN PLACE! Ever since finishing insulation, progress has been flying! Come and see!

Sweet Elsa and Barron: 35 years ago my husband built our first home primarily by himself with a little help from our friends. The process was grueling but rewarding as we were living out our fairytale. He passed away two years ago (after we spent 42 happy years together) and now I find myself alone, in the second beautiful home he built for us. Watching your story unfold reminds me of my love and the best times of our lives. I am loving him all over again as I watch the two of you meander through your own fairytale. Best wishes for a long and loving life together. We had our day in the sun but I so very much miss my man. Tempus fugit.

Thank you both SO much for not just dispatching the rattlers! I’m born & lived my whole life in S.E. TN and we have rattlers, cottonmouths and copperheads everywhere here, and *way too many people* fail to understand that snakes control vermin. Just because they’re dangerous doesn’t mean they deserve to die. “The only good snake is a dead snake” adage is utterly idiotic.

I don’t know much about snakes but I thought it was pretty cool how the two rattlesnakes sort of ‘cuddled’ 😅 one another, it looked like they were protective of the other. Really cool though!

Ah I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed these videos.
You probably already know this, but since I just learned about it I thought I’d throw it out there. I moved a little further out of town (in AZ) where we do see rattlesnakes. My vet told me about the rattlesnake vaccine. So I went head and had my dog vaccinated. It’s a two shot series and then once a year after that. Doesn’t mean you don’t take your dog to the emergency vet, if he or she gets bit, but it should lessen the poison in their system. Love Kamp and love Pilot!

Ok, Elsa, here comes a comment that really does not have anything to do with the content of your videos. That is not to say that I do not love the content, however, i do have to say. The reason that I watch your videos is because, dare I say, it is your voice. You my dear, have the most soothing voice to me. With tiny little infections at just the right times to calm my depression/anxiety filled life. All I can think when listening to you, is how much, I would jump on a chance to listen to you read a book. I know I am an old lady and may sound crazy but you have a mesmerizing voice and I wonder if others feel it too. I hate asmr but if that is something that calms people, then you are mine and I thank you. I am so happy for your glorious news of a baby. Cherish it, let is go slow, capture every memory. Remember the last time you pick them up when they are older. You may not get it now but later you will. CONGRATS!!!! and thank you.

Lol! It's heartening to hear that you guys understand who in your family needs the training. Lol! I must confess I started watching your channel for your dog. I love Sable Shepherds; have had them most of my life. You guys are really enjoyable to watch and I'm glad you are open to learning how to work with her. Training dogs is a skill, but anyone with an open mind can learn it. Can't wait to see how far you guys can go.

Castor oil does help with wrinkles and it minimizes dark circles under the eyes. Use lots of Hyaluronic acid first to lock the moisture in.

Elsa, you were commenting on the wrinkles on your face. My Grandma and Mom used cocoa butter (looks like a bar of soap, found at most holistic food & medicinal stores)on their face for wrinkles and belly for stretch marks. People always complement them on how young they looked and I never saw stretch marks from pregnancy on either of them. Both had 5 children. I can not remember the brand name of it but I'm sure if you have a natural organic food store near you, the sales people should able to help you locate it. I can tell you that it smells just like deep dark rich chocolate. Your skin will love you for it and you can get rid of the castor oil permanently. The house looks like it's going to be a fantastic retreat from the world! Happy trails and safe travels to you both!

The best thing for wrinkles is sunscreen in a water proof foundation (every day like a moisturizer) It will not burn your eyes when you sweat like regular sunscreen. And plenty of fluids. Also coconut oil is a natural sunscreen that allows fair skin to actually tan!

Pilots head tilting when hearing the baby giggles. Makes my heart smile so big. My dog I had for 13 years passed away 1-16-2023. I still grieve her so much. She was my loyal best friend.
The house looks beautiful. Love the windows and lovely views. Lots of hard work, but will be worth it all when you can sit in your living room by the fire and watch the snow fall. Not to mention having a little one to enjoy! Tale care.
