Problem with lower ranked 1v1 players is that, they are not good enough for some of this mechanic and you cant fake in lower ranks because defender will imminently challenge you
@@malburrgg4246 Best thing that works for me is when i carry the ball, just launch it early. Not even trying to score. They are usually challenging right away so it just clears them and then i get a free shot on net while they recover.
If you understand that is their methodology. Then counter it. Those guys ff after looking dumb repeatedly. They never have the boost to cover their net after their barrage. So just stay on your half of the field, and just keep hitting the ball in annoying directions but not following up. Lol they start getting sloppy as hell and then holes pop up in their actions. Normally just passing you the ball
Low 50s can be extremely abused if you focus on dribbling/over the ball or cross field flicks can be also abused a lot in the lower ranks as they might not have as much spacial awareness
As an occasional super pre jumper, they are hands down the most satisfying dunks to get in the game. It's like you have told your opponent "I can read you like a book, there is nothing you can do to beat me."
I've watched quite of few of these and this is the first one that I decided to add to a playlist so I can revisit it and study it a little more. Well done!

Yes, I'd like to learn more too. I am not sure what you mean by that; you should be "in-line" between the point of contact and what -- the backpost?, the middle of the goal? (Insane vid btw)
@@NightRyder alright! Thanks a lot man it is very helpful as I really like 1s, but i’m hardstuck c3 (gc3 in 2s) and I believe that ranking up around gc2 in 1s is what I need to get ssl in 2s! So thanks a lot!
Maybe its too late to ask now lol, but is the defense guide droppin any time soon? This video has honestly helped me a TON. many different intricate aspects of 1v1 which I have never heard of before have been mentioned and explained here, and I really would like a detailed guide on defense as well, especially aerial defense.
You did a great job with this! Will definitely be rewatching this in the future when I play 1s again. I'd love to see some 1v1s with live commentary from you, similar to how you did in the past. We can't get your level of mechanics without putting in the hours, but we can get closer to making good decisions by learning from you. For reference I'm a GC1 level player, but I haven't played 1s in a while. It's my favorite mode to watch though. I like that you talked about the 3 ways to attack at the beginning, and that's also how I pretty much think about it, although I consider the offensive corner almost a 4th scenario (it is kind of a hybrid of down the line and wall). How do you decide which of the 3 approaches to go for? What tells or situations are you looking out for? That's what I'd like to really see as an addendum to this video. Down the line is low percentage of scoring directly, whereas going inside or to the wall is higher. But both of those require enough SPACE/TIME for you to take the ball away from the opponent without them challenging you. So how do you create that space? I know a few consistent ways: 1. demo them (duh) 2. make a save into your corner and win your own corner boost (because they were behind their shot like you explained or had bad recovery). they usually back off to mid boost and you can quickly go inside. You have to quick and precise with your touches though, since they will look to cut you off as soon as they get mid boost. Ideally you want to speed the ball up away from them (for wall setup) or go lateral at an angle, and then cross your car over to the other side to threaten a cut over their head if they challenge. Precise touches are important here. 3. dribble the ball back to your side of the field collecting ALL the boost along the way. They will be forced to close down otherwise they give you the whole pitch, but they will usually defend passively because of your boost advantage. If they back off enough, go inside. Even if they don't, you can go for the opposite wall (your corner or mid boost) and speed the ball up putting them in a dilemma to either cut you off before you get the wall setup (they dive with low boost, try for a pinch, etc) or they back off. Of course 1v1 is not so easy in the heat of the moment, but it's good to have a game plan. you make great content mate, keep it up!
@@NightRyder came back to this video as I started playing 1s again. sad to see you haven't uploaded since! I'm sure we'd all love a defense guide but seeing as that's probably a ton of work, maybe you can just upload some ranked games with commentary?

I would like the defense tutorial mentioned at 6:00. Just before we learned how dangerous it is for an opponent to air dribble bump, and how facing the challenge can make it a lot harder for them. Then we learn that we should be blocking the net in line with the opponents shot. I get that there's different times for each, but I'm not sure when that is? I would guess it has to do with how much space you gave your enemy already, and ideally you don't want to give them much. Much love, from a C2 ones player.
This is the most valuable video i have seen on RL 1s, it is real and effective advices to improve!! Thank you for the content Sir, you are a king !! Are you planning on releasing that defense video you mentioned ? Take care
For those wondering: You can defend air dribble bumps with consistency as well. The ball has to go in the net anyway, so if you do a squishy save to where the ball is gonna be at that moment you'll have a higher chance of saving it.
Very cool, I liked it a lot and it was very informative. Could you make a video about how to shoot too? I can hit the ball powerful, but with no accuracy. Keep up the good work!
Very nice video man. (still haven't left) ohh man it's been a whileee. I see your channel has really taken off. I really like the quality of your content it has improved a lot. Nice job man, Great video!
Hey man, really well done tutorial, but I don't understand what you mean by "Lining up with the point of contact" as I cannot see what is common between the clips of correct line ups. Would you mind elaborating on what a successful line up looks like?
Hi, so if you look at the examples at 5:50 and pause the video on one of the examples when I'm about to shoot. If you were to draw a line from the front of my car to the goal. That will be the path of my shot. His car is not on the shot path and from that distance its very hard to react and make the save if his car isn't in the way. To save the shot any part of his car needs to be within the shot path. The reason I called it point of contact is because, the attacker isn't always going to shoot with the front of their car. Say a player shoots with the side of their car. If you again draw a line from the side of the car to the goal. That will be the shot path and to save it your car has to be on that line at some point before the ball goes in the goal. Let me know if that helps :)
I keep losing games because I don't know how to deal with the ball in the corner, I'm very mechanical and way faster than my opponents most of the time but I continuously find myself with 0 boost in the corner and the ball is just trapped there back and forth between me and the opponent.
Is there anyways you can make a video on defense next? I’ve been facing nexto the gc bot and have no idea how to defense its flicks, it scores every time lol

This. It's difficult to make a play because they're just going for it. Idk how to make them slow down so I speed up and make dumb mistakes.
@@malburrgg4246 The fix is quite simple for these situations: Learn how to 50/50
Force 50s with them if they instachallenge, and you got an open net
