I love these videos. So many van builders fail to paint the back of the fence. Your attention to quality and detail is inspiring. The time lapses show you measuring a million times before cutting, squares every time, clamps everywhere, I love it. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I’m truly impressed and inspired.
Loving watching. We are looking at a 136 but with dual sliders and just like you for travel and surfing. Not going to live in it. One requirement from my wife is a toilet 🙂
Hi Jason, Thank goodness for your detailed videos! In this one can you share what hinges you used? We must have bought the wrong kind because they stick up too high?
We absolutely love your design, and we are going with the same in our promaster 2500. One issue we are running into as we plan the bench layout, is where to house the AC breaker box. It's 4 inches deep, and we were wanting to mount the electrical to the wheel box. Where did you put yours? Thank you!
Those look great. I am just about to jump into this step and wondering why you went with sheets of plywood instead of a frame with 2x2's or something similar.
I went with plywood to save space. With 2x2's you lose a couple inches and then you still have to put plywood or some sort of face on the frame. I thought I was going to have to brace the benches in certain spots, but they ended up being super strong with the 3/4" plywood.
Curious to see how you're going to do the bed. Most I've seen with a similar design use a pull out slate design. Also, is white going to be your final color? Reason I ask is that I'd be afraid of dirt, scuffs, marks that easily show on white. Still, can't wait til your next video, been following your build from the beginning. Lots of ideas for our own 136" build.
Thanks! My table will drop down in between the benches and that'll be used for the bed. I'm going with white for the benches and the uppers because I'm a masochist who likes to clean.
Hi Jason I’m learning a lot from your videos. What size water tank did you use to fit into your bench. Do you have a link? I’m planning my build on the same vehicle and size. Thanks
Hey, my title might be confusing haha. I have a table top that drops down in the middle so that the area can be converted into a bed. I'll be showing it in an upcoming video.
Thanks for the inspiration on how to build these. Can I ask how deep each of your bench seats are? What height you went with? Also how wide is your walkway in between? We are figure out sizing for our build.
Hey, you're welcome. The bench seats are 23 1/4" (D) x 53" (L) x 17" (H). Couple things to keep in mind though - I built a platform in the walkway that is about 5" tall and I have 5" cushions. The walkway is about 25" wide.
Probably this weekend or early next week. I have a full time job, so it's tough to find time to work on the van and also create the content/edit videos. The van is pretty much done, I'm just behind with my videos.
I like your videos but please slow your camera scrolling. It moves too fast and I can’t get a look at what you are trying to show us. Also, it gives me a headache.

Thank you very much!
The Kreg Jig is the best invention ever! I just found your site this morning and I'm all caught up. I also subscribed.
It's looking good. I bet that Ocean looks nice.
It does!
Those turned out very very well
not too shabby!

Always great videos! Really looks good!!

Nice job jason.
Thanks!

I used some pretty cheap hinges from home depot, they aren't anything special.
@@JasonKlunk thanks, we just found some smaller ones that should work!

All of my electrical components are in the the back bench seat (passenger side)

Nice work and attention to detail. How tall are your benches and how thick of a cushion did you use?

Hey Doug, it's a 15 gallon tank made by ICON. There is a link in the description.
How does the bench convert into a bed? Does something slide out into the middle? Thanks!

What are the measurements you used..? I want to do this exact setup for mine.
are the frames around the wheel wells necessary
Nothing is necessary, it just depends how you want to utilize the space.
When is the next video coming out? Are you working on this full time by the way?

@@JasonKlunk - that's awesome to hear. I love your content and follow your instructions to the tee.
can u show it being turned into bed
I'll be showing the bench seats/bed area in an upcoming video, thanks for the feedback.

thanks. sorry, it gets better in future videos lol - it's difficult to do everything myself.
