wow i thought it was the menu music that he did first. u know the one with the chainsaw. but this makes sense since at first he was told not to use guitars
@@John-X guitars were added later in the soundtrack, Mick said. The soundtrack for the game was mostly synth based (as requested) until Mick thought to himself "this is good but its missing something". I highly recommend everyone to watch his GDC panel where he dissects the creation process for the Doom 2016 soundtrack. Its truly inspiring.
The first time I heard this ingame I remember thinking “oh hell yeah, that’s definitely doom alright”. Then I proceeded to get frustrated with basic platforming for the the entire time cus my dumbass kept falling
good question. a lot of the choices that went into the official ost are questionable imo. a lot of those songs are passive "ambient" tracks that dont resemble what you hear for the most part in the game at all. i know that dooms soundtrack is highly reactive so they had to cut together stuff to make single tracks that could be part of the ost album but the way they did it is pretty horrible. you have tracks like biowaves or death and exhale which is nothing but ambient noise which i couldnt even tell you where in the game it plays, but then they leave out something as recognizable as the argent tower ost. wtf were they doing?
Perfect. According to Mick, this is the first track he did.
It’s so good. I was about to give up on finding this damn song 🤣 thought I was a madman to search any further

@@John-Xyeah he didn’t do that one until very late. He prefers to do main themes at the end of the project.

I scoured the umbrel plains for this song
burned by the embers of torment tainted beyond ascension
I love how in the level this builds up to BFG division
its weird, it SHOULD build up to Flesh And Metal, because they sound like they fit together:

Mind your sphincter after ascending.
Now this is relaxing music to chill / study to.

after years.. i finally found it.
The song that builds up to BFG Division playing for the first time in-game. Simply glorious.
Walking down the street to the local Giant Eagle never made me feel more menacing.
Dat bass
Double Jump boots? Hell yeah.
Даже эмбиент эпично звучит
Just the Perfect song

Everytime I hear this I just feel like shaking my big butt all over the entire living room and the kitchen counter too. It's seriously that good.

Why is this not on the OST?

Манкубусам тоже нравится
Increase the velocity to 1.25 and thank me later when you end the entire music
It was shitty @1.25 damn you man my ears 😭
Try the same thing with 0.75 speed for maximum repressed aggression. Doesn't even hurt the quality as much as expected imo.
no its perfect as it is.

Most Non ambient ambience
this sounds like it should be the calm variant of "flesh and metal"
