i personally think the crows will find a way to get their money but not take away alina, because kidnapping a woman goes against everything inej stands for, knowing her backstory! so i think they'll find a loophole :)

I'm so excited for Shadow & Bone. It looks to me like they're hired to kidnap and maybe assassinate Alina because of her power being dangerous. However, they find another way to get their money since Inej wouldn't be into it because of what happened to her with Tante Heleen at the Menagerie. But I'll be down to seeing them double-cross the person they're working for and end up not kidnapping Alina. It would also explain how Inej came to naming one of her knifes Sankta Alina. I've watched the trailer so many times and always wondered who that man Alina is talking to and I just realized it's the Apparat. 🤣 He's so creepy. I never liked him. I also think the person who gives them the mission is either Pekka Rollins or Jan Van Eck. But I think it's most likely Van Eck because he's the one who hires them for their heist to break into the Ice Court in the first book.
