If you go to the pharmacy you can get a combined insect repellent and sun screen cream. Rub it on your face neck and arms. You won’t get sunburnt or bitten by mosquitoes or annoyed by flies.
there are loads of great day-trips and weekenders within a few hours of Melbs. Some places you can get to on the trains -- which are really cheap now! -- but often you'd need to borrow or rent a car
@TrudyandEddTravel you will learn where the flies are. l avoid those areas ..l go to Anglesea on the great Ocean road often .not many flies.after rain sometimes a bug explosion. the birds do eat alot..probaly life cycle. without flies it might upset the whole eco system.lucky they only live about 2 weeks.
Nice. Used to have to drive slowly when picking my daughter up from her boyfriends in Templestowe at night as usually there were Kangas in the street. Same in Lorne down the GOR. Koals harder to find in suburbia but saw a few in Apollo Bay on the GOR. Often see Echidnas at Sorrento Back Beach.
The flys at Phillip Island can be pritty bad sometimes. it could be from all the dead penguins that get washed up from storms.and alot of cows attract the flys.probaly why the town is called cows.
Love watching you both on your adventures xx
Thanks so much! 😊
