- Thank you all for coming along on this journey with me. It’s been a fun year. I hope to keep doing this and trying to educate and show. Not much else to say but HAPPY NEW YEAR

I love that you CAN make these videos and clearly, there's no objection from FAA or local bodies. Super awesome!
I walk a thin line… I’m just happy I can show my love of aviation to the world. However long it lasts.
Love the scimitar sharklets. Really impede wing HP side to LP side vortex formation. Really reduces fueI consumption.
Not yet. Give it time. Someone who’s very depressed and hates their own life will do everything they can to stop this. It’s absolutely disgusting people are out there like that. But they are most definitely there. I wouldn’t be surprised if AA demands payment from stig for making money off of their equipment. Even though stig is just educating the public and showing the upmost pride in his job. It doesn’t matter though.
But it benefits the airline to show this, in my opinion. So cool to see how the planes we fly on are taken care of!
Thats why you dont see the videos at some of the “contracted” labor company employees doing the same thing. No offense to anyone, but I can only imagine a Oimco or AAR video 😂😅
Design engineer here. Speaking from my experience, designs are often influenced by many factors and people within an organization, which may differ from the designers own desire.
First time watcher. This is amazing, thanks for showing us all this.
You are very right on that. And thank you for watching and enjoying.
Or the emergency slide was designed after the trash bin door location? Anyhow, a trash bin door was made on the side panel where the catering cart is located for anyone interested.
Man Stig I hope you can continue making these videos for a long long time. Watching these videos are the highlight of my day and you do a masterful job at putting these all together and the end result shows in a spectacular fashion. You bring me such joy and happiness and I can't thank you enough brother.
I will keep going and showing and loving Aviation. I will try to share as much as I can for as long as I can. Thank you for being here.
On C141 we laid on our belly to lower a stubborn landing gear and crank it down 400 strokes. I'm sure it's better now, it was all hydraulic.
Hands down one of the very best aviation related channels. Thank you for your service.
Glad you are enjoying it. Thank you for being here
As an aircraft Mechanic I 100% agree with you on the engineering, some of the designs they come up with makes you scratch your head.
Hence why I said we can also work magic. 😅😂
@@StigAviation exactly bro!!!
Try tuning up a Chevy where you only have access to 6 out of 8 spark plugs… and they’re only paying you an hour labor.
@@njjeff201 Jeff go get your A&P license bro. Come work on aircraft. You’ll never go back to automotive.
@@njjeff201 but you don't have 350 passengers waiting!!!
Hey Sir! As part of the fAAmily, us guys up front have the world of respect for our maintenance brothers. Without you guys and your hard work, we wouldn’t have jobs. For that, we are grateful. 🤙
Have a great new year!
CLT/737/FO/I
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, we all work as a one big team. Thank you for being here. If you ever fly through LAX, let me know I’ll be more than happy to come up and meet you.
Thank you Stig for these great reflections on your work and surroundings. Happy 2024.
Happy new year! And thank you
Brilliant Fantastic Stig ! G-YMML is one of only two British Airways aircraft to be painted in a special livery, now that it has retired all its Boeing 747-400s. It was created specially to fly the UK’s delegation into Shanghai’s Great Festival of Creativity. The livery features intricate Western impressionist art combined with Chinese ink-and-wash paint techniques. Designed by Chinese fashion designer Masha Ma, it depicts interwoven bamboo stems and roses, both extremely important symbols in Chinese and British culture respectively.

That is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing that with me
Amazingly put together. Hard not to be romantic about commercial aviation. Thank you for bringing us along. Happy New Year!!
Thank you very much Charles. Glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year
Blinker fluid , and remember to change out either winter air or summer air in the tires . Winter air in the summer makes the tires sweat and summer air will freeze up in the winter . Winter air remains cold and summer air will be warm . Please use full synthetic blinker fluid . Helps the blinkers to become brighter . Living in Wisconsin , we change out the tire air every fall and spring .
I worked in a welding shop for 38 years , retired in 2022 . We have had this same issue with parts not opening , closing , hand clearance , etc . My assembly line was Digital Printing Equipment . designed mainly on CAD . we had assemblies that we could not put together cause we could not get our hand in the area to get at the hardware. Our design Engineers told us CAD shows we should be able to get our hands in there . We had to get them out to our floor and show them
That’s absolutely absolutely incredible Mike, thank you so much for sharing that with me. I actually find your work incredibly fascinating.
I loved working with Stainless Steel . Amazing how great the polished seams look . Lots of satisfaction when a job is completed and looks fabulous
🤣
One of my favorite parts of flying is getting to talk to the planes I fly because they each have their own little quirks and personalities. The fleet at my school is will maintained thanks to our MX shop. They know each tail as well as we do, and one of our AMTs has been known to sing to them.
I talk to my birds all the time. Got to treat it with love and respect… just like a woman 👌
Thanks Mister Stig, Happy 2024 to you! Your enthusiasim and dedication to your craft is freakin' contagious. American is very fortunate to have such an A+P guy like you!
Wishing you a happy new year as well, and thank you so much for the beautiful kind words. I am very happy and fortunate to be doing the job I love.
Gosh, you are not doing enough? You are literally saving lives every week! While making super content for your viewers... That is a Lot!
Thank you so much for the kind words, I appreciate it all
Hey Stig! The trash bin position on the R1 door. This is probably due to a trash bin not being accessed during flight but being used during normal operations and just to use all space in the AC. Could you imagine if this is where they put the portable O2 bottles or First Aid Kit. The big drawback I can see is if this became a potential fire hazard. I wonder what the procedure is for a fire in the this trash bin. Could be an interesting exercise for the Flight and Cabin Crew. I take it there is no access from the bulkhead. Never seen much Airbus except as a passenger. Flew on a USAir one back in 2013-2014. Staff were knowing the end was near which made it a little uncomfortable. That old merger with America West put the nail in the coffin.
Go No Go items like cabin flashlights, certain bulbs and first aid kit seals are fun. Curious as you seem at ease with all aircraft yet some of your contemporaries don't like certain aircraft like working the 737max and the E190. I heard one AME call it the E180 because it always came back to the gate. Maybe you take it in stride as if to say "that's why I'm here!"
Livery on BA G-YMML is called "Shanghai's Great Festival of Creativity" marking roses and bamboo to represent British and Chinese Culture. Basically a marketing gimmick for its target cities in China mostly for business passengers.
In case there was a fire inside the trash bin, they always have the opportunity to grab the fire extinguisher and put it out. In regards to regional jets, I never actually worked on them. I’ve always been working on the mainline Jets. And I love them all, as you said, that’s why I’m here, it’s my job and I love it.
I learnt so much about airplanes from your videos and its very fun to watch
I’m glad you are enjoying them
@@StigAviation Keep up the great work
Happy New Year Stig! I hope 2024 brings you much happiness and peace 🙏

The pride comes within us. It comes in a form of camaraderie between our colleagues. We honor each other, even though the world does not see us.
Happy new year Stig! Thanks for great videos!!
Happy new year to you as well, wishing you all the best
That livery is the BA "Great Festival of Creativity in Shanghai" Boeing 777-236ER G-YMML... Unveiled in 2015, G-YMML is one of only two British Airways aircraft to be painted in a special livery, now that it has retired all its Boeing 747-400s.
Wonderful, this is the information I was looking for. Thank you so much.

Happy new year Stig, i hope 2024 is a great year for you. Your video's are never boring im always learning something from them and your humour and passion for aviation shines through. I was bitten by the aviation bug at 8 yrs old living near Manchster Airport in th UK i never got the grades to go into aircraft engineering but i have never lost the passion for it avation Photography is my way of being close to airplanes. If i could do my life over the only thing id change is to study harder and become an aircraft engineer. Keep the videos coming Stig and stay safe my friend

About the British Airways 777-200 you mentioned 40:30 . The name of the livery is called “Great Festival of Creativity in Shanghai”.
Thank you very much for letting me know, I appreciate you
@@StigAviation No problem. Thank you for making the content you do. I was and still am into trains, cars, planes. Anything that transports people I love everything about it. Everyone was impressed with my knowledge as a kid. I was very lucky my Mom encouraged my hobbies and interests. She worked for a bank. One of her clients was financing remodeling of his house and he worked for Evergreen International as a test pilot and mechanic on their 747 fleet. My Mom and him arranged a day for me to go with him to work at Santa Barbara Airport. On that day I was lucky to see them taking an ex-Pam Am 747 (747GE) and changing into the test bed for the GE90. I think it’s a museum piece now. From that day on I knew I was going to work in Aviation. Long story short I ended up getting a rare tumor in my brain, sinuses, and spine at 18. I was told they are invasive and couldn’t remove them. I considered myself very fortunate I was able to have a short airline career, but, by 26 I could no longer work. When I found your videos, words cannot describe it. I can say they really help me with my spirts. I am now trapped in a bed not able to do much. I am also in a lot of pain. So for however long your videos are, I am transported back to better times. So I am very grateful for them. Sometimes when we do something, it may seem like a small act. But these little acts can mean the world to someone else you may have never met. To me that’s the amazing testament to aviation, it brings us together and to see the world and people. By doing that we can change our perception of our world through first hand experiences that tv or the internet can’t quite capture. Stay amazing! Wishing you to reach your goals and beyond in 2024!
Thank you so much for sharing that with me, it means a lot to me and I will continue to bring you joy of Aviation for as long as I can. I want you to keep those spirits, high and soaring just like these airplanes. I wish you a beautiful new year. It’s an honor to have you here.
Thank you and happy new year
Happy new year 🎆🎈🎊
Happy New to you,and thank you so much for the wonderful videos and your great attitude.i can't wait to some day meet you,May God bless your New Year
Happy new year Geno. Thank you so much for enjoying the adventures. Wish you all the best.
This one was full of great nuggets - even some of the dad jokes. 😂
Happy New Year, Stig! I’m always excited to see your videos pop up in my TikTok, RUclips or IG feeds - it’s 50 minutes of therapy for us aviation nerds. Thanks again for all you do. I fly your airline almost exclusively and every time I board one of the birds, it makes me feel even safer knowing people like you and your partners are wrenching on them.
Better not forget the prop wash @Stig.
Thank you so much for being here Jared, I appreciate your kind words and you being here. And I also thank you for choosing my carrier, you are the person that puts food on my table and I will keep you safe in sky’s.
I do the same job you do except i work for the "enemy." I love watching you videos on my off days because I'm a nerd, new guy, and watch the little things you do so i can learn. Happy new years! Keep the passion strong
Thank you so much for being here Tyler, keep up the good work, no matter what company you work for. At the end of the day we are still brothers, because we are both mechanics. Happy new year my friend.
HAPPY NEW YEAR BUD!!! GREAT VIDEOES

This is amazing content! You’re an awesome man, thanks for keeping us safe and while bringing us to be closer to the aviation world!
My pleasure! Thank you for being here
New subscriber! This is an addicting channel. While repetitive at times, it's never dull!
Welcome david. I do apologize for some of the repetitive nature of the videos, but it’s my daily activities at work. Sometimes I encounter new things, new challenges, but most time it’s routine, maintenance and preventative maintenance. I try to educate along the way of the components and systems you see. Don’t hesitate to ask questions if you see something that interest you
Wow... I am always impressed by the things you must know to do your job properly... Deep respect to you and all the people working on the ground. Have wonderful happy new year. Thanks for all the beautiful videos, sooo interesting👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

love these videos man. Im an aspiring pilot currently working as a ramper at my local airport. Seeing you go into detail about the mechanical side of planes is super intersting. I love it and i think its so important.
Keep up the good studies, you’ll be soaring through the sky’s soon. I’m glad these videos are helping.
Love your vids. I had to fly out at 5am in that morning storm, what a fun take-off to be honest. That rain and wind going up to 10k feet was just nasty fun to see as a passenger. Anyway, stay safe!!
Glad you enjoyed it and hope you had a lovely flight. ✈️

Happy holidays! And thank you 🙏
I love your videos man, I get to learn about all the noises and where they come from. At work I hear the A320neo's turbine while it shuts off and kept asking myself why did it change it's sound all of a sudden. Now I know! I'm really enjoying your channel. Thanks for this videos.

Happy New Year Stig!!
One of the best moments of my life was getting to take my wife on a personal tour of a beautiful recently retired 777-200er a couple years ago, getting to show her a tiny little glimpse of what I do and how incredible it is getting to work one airplanes everyday! Really amazing!
Engineer’s designs have left me scratching my head and laughing (or cussing) a couple times at well.
I’ve been talking with Ryan, hopefully us 3 can get an Oshkosh trip planned! Would love to go with some fellow A&P aviation enthusiasts.
Love the videos!
That’s so awesome that you got to show what you do to your family. I hope one day I can show my mom as well. I am trying to make time to get out there to Oshkosh, but the schedule is so filled up for me. But I’m still gonna try.
I love the fun facts. Also, I love when people are passionate about their work! Keep it up!

Absolutely awesome video and your knowledge is so cool of planes, its good to see inside the Aircraft and what it does...
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember when your hanger was new. I visited and was in awe that 4 747's could fit inside. there were a couple in it that day
The good old days.
We got those screens on the planes all the way back in Suriname, South America! When American used to fly there, at least.. glad to see that we had a “rare” aircraft there.
It was a nice change of scenery for sure. But once the winter season ends we probably won’t see these on the west coast
Great video with a lot of insightful information. Thank you sir!
Much appreciated Randy. Thank you for watching
Wow Mr Stig. Nicely done.
Great positive energy and inspiration.
Your job is very important, that us air travelers ultimately depend on.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication in keeping those metal birds in good shape.
Keep up the good work sir.
It is my absolute pleasure and honor to maintain these aircraft and keep you safe in the skies.
Man I must this guy does great video work Suttle clam interesting. Absolutely far out man great stuff. 👍.
Glad you enjoyed it Dennis Thank you for watching
A moment to reflect on a year well spent. Every bird you touch, and by extension, every person that flies or ever will fly on it, is a person's life that you've improved, or perhaps even preserved. I would struggle to think of a role with greater direct impact on our world, and for that, you may find immense satisfaction. Still, I know the sacrifices are many and for that, as a member of the flying public, I, too, will pause to say thank you for your service. In addition, you've found a way to make yet even broader impact by sharing a bit of your days with your RUclips audience, which further inspires and educates in a way that frankly, no other creator has or even can, as they're not you. That's one more thing I'm adding to my own list of things Im grateful for this year, just accidentally finding your channel. I watch every single episode now and love the long format videos. Thank you! How can we help support your work besides the obvious like/comment/subscribe/watch?
Collin, I don’t know how to express my gratitude for your incredibly kind and loving words. I’m humbled. All I can say is thank you and I’ll keep working hard to keep you safe in the sky’s. Your words truly inspire me and warm my heart. Thank you once again sir.
Starting A&P school next week, these videos are so inspiring
Keep up the good studies, ask questions, and work hard, I’m here to help you, so don’t hesitate to ask questions
Just discovered this channel and it's fascinating.
Welcome and enjoy. Don’t hesitate to ask questions
Happy New Year My Master, Stig ❤
Happy new year to you as well, wishing you all the best
I too enjoy Stig's vids. I've had no significant exposure to aviation since back in the day when I was an Engineer & Mechanic in the USCG on C-130's in PAC Basin SAR out of Barber's Pt., HI.
Andrew. That is a wealth of knowledge that you have, you have worked on many incredible things.
vonderful video thanks a lot
Glad you liked it!
I love your videos. I geek out on the nerdy technical details you throw in. Also the fact that you recognized someone that's been with the company for so long and know who they are. That's the good stuff!!!
I am glad you’re enjoying it Eric. Thank you for watching.
It’s interesting that the B787 doesn’t use bleed air for pressurization, I guess you learn something new every day
Every day is a school day, even for me.
I just found this channel by chance. Its the first time ive seen an aviation channel designated for mechanics. Accidents & spotting is more common. Thank you for creating these videos
It’s my pleasure. Thank you for being here.
Only found you in December Stig but have subscribed to avoid any disappointments. I always thought the pilot walk round had an air of obligation to it. Seemingly casual when passenger safety is the driver. Now I have seen you do your round displaying the intricate knowledge of settings and systems, reassurance reigns supreme. Don't undersell the critical job you do. See you on the next one mate. Onya Pal. Mike. H N Y!
First of all thank you very much for being here, Mike. And yes, indeed aircraft maintenance is very much in the shadows of Aviation. We do a lot more than people know. It’s not just pilots that make it safe, we are there before the pilots and we are there after the pilots. We are always there to make sure the aircraft is safe. Thank you for watching and I appreciate you.
I hope you and the your family all had a amazing Christmas and all have a super amazing New Year.
I have been watching your channel that long maybe roughly 2 or so months but i am sure i have watched EVERY video up to now and ABSOLUTELY love every minute of it. Well done on everything you do and all the videoing also
Its truely amazing and educational.
Thank you very much John, wishing you and your family all the best throughout the holidays and the upcoming year. Thank you so much for being here.

Sent 1 other message I think with a link on it.
Don't know if you got it or not mate.
I mentioned a pretty interesting youtube channel I stumbled across that shows some stuff about aircraft in 3D like how flight controls all work and other interesting things.
Don't know how accurate it all is lol
BUT guessing it would be pretty spot on.
Was thinking you might be interested in taking a look and maybe mentioning it if anyone has questions. Could be easier to explain things sending them to check it out, If you know what I mean.
The channel is Aircraft Science.
@@johnnyo7621 send me the link on my instagram if you have time John. I’ll check it out. Thank you once again.
I thought I enjoyed aviation before but after watching your video's i'm loving it even more. Thanks for the many lessons and taking us on this journey!!!! Keep doing what you are doing, the absolute best!!!!
