I worked there for 3 months last year. Connie Kalitta always attends and eat with the crew during special events. Always kind and humble, even for a nobody like me.
I work at Kalitta and thank you for checking us out.
Said with pride. 👍👍👍
During the war in Iraq & Afghanistan, Connie saw that many KIA couldn't get home to their families in small town areas without a huge logistics hassle. He outfitted several Falcon corporate jets, and hired pilots to fly these KIA Soldiers from Dover AFB home to their families in an honorable fashion. He does this on his own dime. Connie Kalitta is a true unsung American Hero. Connie's Angel Flights ruclips.net/video/Y4usp-LVGrs/видео.html
That's just great!
Only in America are there men of Connie’s character! Thank you Mr Conrad Kalitta! You are a true American Patriot!
Good man
Thank you for sharing, as an A&P Mechanic & American Patriot I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this! 💯👏
Connie's life story is what American Opportunity Mean's and why those before US fought the world for freedom. In JFK's own words: "Ask NOT what your Country can do for YOU. Ask what you can DO for your Country."
I work here currently! It's a great place to work! I've been there for nearly 9 years and I used to build the mods and then balance them. Now, I work on the line taking care of the whole bird! It's a great company!
There are so many great unsung American companies started and run by exceptional people like Connie Kalitta. He and his company are an inspiration.
And he's helpings our country out during the Corona virus.
Great video; I used to fly 747-100 and 747-200 for Connie!
i saw my dream job and dream company in 45 minutes of video ❤️ Words are inadequate to describe! Boom!
I absolutely agree with you! Can’t wait to start flying there! What a great company
Born and raised in Arenac co. Just south of Oscoda Mi. What a great thing for that area, nobody would ever believe this could happen when Wurtsmith was closed down....many thanks to Connie and his workforce. Many happy returns.
Yay, Connie! Love Kalitta Air!
Suck Squeeze Bang Blow = GO in the Jet Age. I've worked over 25 yrs in the Aerospace & other highly critical industries championed & still fueled right here in the good 'ol USA! I'm blessed to be able to work for a company that started in a garage 45 yrs ago by my Dad. Amazing! Now our parts are in the air right now on Airbus A380's, Boeing 737's, Embraer Turbo Props, & more!! The scope of it all is just amazing. So blessed & proud to be a small part of the bigger picture. The American Dream is still alive everywhere & you can see it when your looking for the good around you everyday! Very grateful to Titans for what they bring to the table. We need you in this great country! Proud of you for what you & your crew do every day! 🙏🙏 If you can dream it & you can mean it, then you can achieve it!!
On February 5, 2006 I flew on a Kalitta Air 747 from Cleveland to Seattle transporting a 200t shear for our steel mill that was down. I was able to sit in the cock pit for take off and landing. What and experience! Two things that stuck in my mind. How tall a 747 is and how young my pilot was!
You are right, the shear being transported, was a 200 Ton cutting capacity, not physical weight. I know they needed a mobile crane, along with the scissor lift platform to get it in the plane!
Keep this content coming! Absolutely love it!!!
Bagram 747 is a good example of load shift during take off it never ends well it’s so critical people can’t comprehend how serious it is loading these machines cos it’s basically a flying seesaw
Wow, Kalitta Air, another inspiring U.S. company
What a fascinating company and great man! His 747s fly over my home while descending into Stewart International. They’re beautiful aircraft. The 747 will always be the world’s most famous jumbo! Great video!
BRILLIANT AND INNOVATIVE! A MAN WHO TAKE CHARGE. AND GETS THINGS DONE.
A TRUE CHAMPION. 'THE GOOD STUFF' !
Thanks!
Awesome! Can’t wait till my husband starts flying there!
Great and inspirational video! Thanks for sharing!
Outstanding, kudos for bringing us along!!!! Thank you!
Ol Kalitta looks like he can fly and keep an "eye" on the cargo at the same time. I do love the videos. Just throwing some fun.
Awesome video as always. Your drive, and determination for perfection has been a huge motivation for me to turn my shop from a "we get by, and make pretty good money", to a "Lets see how big we can make this thing". AMERICAN MADE! BOOM!
Wish I would have started looking into your videos a few months ago. I'm here in Michigan and would have been awesome to meet ya. Learning a ton through your tutorials
Always interesting to see piece of history where it all started!!
I've watched a lot of your videos and I don't know how this one got missed.
I think this is absolutely my favorite one to date. What a lucky guy you are to be taken on the up close and personal tour of operations.
I knew Kalitta Air was big but I had no idea they did all that.
Wowza 😱
I liked it when the trainer said we don't like booms on airplanes. 😁
Titan;
Love what your doing.
30:02 Jet combustion engine 101:
We suck the air in
We squeeze it
We ignite it (that's the bang)
Then it blows
And then it goes..
And that's thrust
Best explanation ever
Outstanding!
Great episode. So interesting.
we need this on Netflix
It’s streams free on TITAN TV on our Academy website
TITANS of CNC: Academy definitely will check it out! Awesome episode too 👍🏼
love the ending... man!
To say I am impressed would be a great under statement.
This is incredibly inspiring. I am excited about your aerospace curriculum. 😎
This is art
Omg I love it all. Boom!
Repairing is the best way to reduce CO, repair is very good for clean air!
Super Cool, good stuff.
All American built BOOM. Ossam learning video .
That funny that the military is flying Kalitta, that is really funny to me ,. Kalitta is the best aircraft company , I could never compete with there mechanics master skills.
Thank you Titan you are a hero
Very Impressive... I live in Michigan and all I knew about Kalitta is what I learned in a movie about Shirley Muldowney ..
There's a lot of "creative license" in that movie. I have the DVD with bonus interviews. Shirley said that while Connie did have an altercation with her son, it wasn't as serious as it was portrayed, same with the altercation with Shirley and her ex-husband, whom she said really got a raw deal. I read his online obituary, and it seems like he (Jack Muldowney) often came to see her race. Also, Don Garlits was furious with the hillbilly from Deliverance (Bill McKinney) portraying him, especially just standing around eating a banana while Shirley set that track record during her attempt to obtain her competition driver's license. Garlits didn't recall exactly what he was doing, but he sure wasn't eating a banana.
@@mr.intensity2685 I hate it when they make up a BS Story to make it dramatic.. The Truth and reality is far more interesting to me..
Sounds like the Carrol Shelby story is way .. off with fist fights ect..
Awesome video
Im in love!
Yes man!!! YES YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
I installed and service that Danobat vertical grinder.. and the Newall BTG next to it..
That thing looks pretty badass. I only get to program and run a Haas VF3, but I do have fun doing it. That machine is 3-4 levels above me for sure.
43:13 he left Titan hanging!! BOOM!
hello from Russia
Hey…titans…indian also like you👌👌
Amazing operation .... I wonder where that 747 fleet came from, ex passenger aircraft? must be loads on the market
Most of the Kalitta fleet are former passenger liners that are converted.
The market is definitely fat with surplus aircraft since so many are being retired.
Most of them are ex Korean airlines we got a couple from Japan airlines too
ขอบคุณครับ
I worked Connie's domestic operation in 96...
#VeryCool! #ThankYou! for keeping it positive.
This video shows what is possible if we all try to get the best grades in school.
Please in the next video give a shout out for all those who are coming up. By shooting out "YA HOOOOO!"
What became of the aircraft that had a landing overrun and split in half? Did they head over to pull all parts off of it?
hello from Indonesia
Hello. I am from India
Grab patron, got me leanin
I like the way you say Boom.
I worked for an American company in the U.K, we had the Union Jack on the wall,.....
With all these CNC machines and high level part making for aircrafts: why did they outsource an engine part for Titan?
Dramatized Machinist help them to create film and scripts!!
The aluminium ball bearings were also American made - by Boeing. And they were made from aluminium for a reason ;)
Absolutely
Felix Kuhnert the loading system on 782 is actually made by Tel Air International, not Boeing. Now Boeing does make a loading system, it is just not installed in this plane.
@@vegeta19d Did they do a patent lease to use Kalitta's design?
Cheaper material? Lighter weight? Probably both. Certainly not for durability... I realize weight is EVERTHING in the aviation world.... but, when you're Connie Kalitta, the SOLE owner of a private airline (no shareholders) you may choose to sacrifice a little weight in exchange for durability. Just my uneducated guess, that's all.
...planned obsolescence....
Невероятно круто, как для частной компании! Видно, что сотрудники любят свою работу. И могут интересно о ней рассказать.
I design and engineer high end multi piece forged wheels with Autodesk Inventor and need to learn how to use HSM cam to program the best tool paths for the centers to be machined. I can't find anyone to willing to help, even for money. I just need help finding the best work holdings and practices during the programming...nothing I can find on hsm helps me I need someone who knows the program and who can apply it to my situation and take my input/needs for quality and timeframe and adjust. Any help appreciated...
Boom I love it make American great again!
Your company is great man, 30 years ago Clinton started the de industrialization there is no way it will ever come back it is too profitable.
I'm enjoying your success 👍
small specialty American manufacturing will always be there but it can never compete with the corporate government profits cheap labor that includes their taxes corporate headquarters all too big to ever change.
MADE AT HOME!!
Boomm !
I thought Ken appel was a Bubbles cameo lol
Do these people actually make the parts for the aircrafts... or for their shipping services?
Seems like all the parts made in the shop were to MODIFY a 747 for their needs!
they used to be made from aluminium but now they are made of stainless steel, saved them about 35.000$ but what about the weight? it is 2,85 times heavier than the old aluminium pieces and will cost more fuel over time than the production i guess?
You are correct
@@wiplashw642 The Stainless would be 1/3 as thick..
Kalitta Air must have bought the old Wurtsmith AFB where the Air Force flew a Wing of B-52s all through the Cold War.
Wait, I'm confused. Are these parts American made? I feel like they really could have elaborated on that more.
Yes they are
@@TITANSofCNC Are you sure? Because in the video I only heard "made in America" roughly every five seconds, and I feel like if they really were American made it would be said way more often.
America
Man, I think I workout where Bubbles' family is from.
With that nice machine and Tim has a chip auger with a plastic container. With a nice shop like that why didn’t they buy the chip conveyor and put a barrel under there. It would make clean up faster and easier and your not paying a experienced machinist wage to clean the chips off the floor when it over flows.
We need to worry more about our own Country more than makiung other Countries Rich!!
No booms on an airplane. 😂😂😂
American researchers says attack was dramatically arranged
11:14 that is a sign that someone will have to clean the floor very soon.
18:10 that's definitely not a 747 wingtip. Looks more like a A300/310
I just don't understand why this trade doesn't pay more. A lot better paying trades out there. The shops need to quit cutting each other throats!
Why store parts! just make them on order then post!
25.00
3.48 u can't make your eye ball correct
Merican made baby.
But those parts are made in Seatle already from Boeing ...I mean Kalita show me Airbus parts and then we talk.
"Titan"...pretty sure his mom calls him up and says, "Hi, Elmer! How's my little boy!" Looks like Guy Fieri...
Not impressed with Titan...does not present himself as a “Captain of Industry”-more like a bouncer at a strip club. Boom!!
Dramatized Machinist!!😁😁😁
Kalitta is also building secret fighter jets , wen He and His Team shows up to the battle field the Russians are going to be scard , Kalitta and His Workers are some Dangerous Bad Dudes , I could never be around such Bad Dudes , I be have me lost, there skill is over my head, that why I am just a Truckeee .
Oligarchs.
I stared with one truck , and the mafia rats hatted that I went out of business .
You are saying American made waaay to much,. We know it by know you like murica
At least he cares about bringing work back to America.
Gonna bring manufacturing back to the USA how, exactly? You aren't going to convince CEO's and shareholders to take less profit, and I'm not hearing anything about the trades taking less money or benefits...and the customers don't want to spend more. Seems to me you don't have a good plan, but whatever...
That intro with the pledge of allegiance is pure cringe.
Good luck. Those jobs were lost due to greed, enough not being enough. Those jobs will never be back to what they were. And why are we still clinging on to manufacturing? Seems like we should be leading another industry, not backpedaling manufacturing.
