    I have the fold 6 and I would not trade it for the pixel fold. The One UI experience is unparalleled imho.

      I know, OneUI is just superior. The only thing is the exterior design sucks, its ugly af.

    I think Google’s Pixel team over-invested into AI features and not enough in software upgrades specific to their foldables. Seems like a no-brainer honestly when you look at what makes the top foldables shine because great software is common denominator.

      I mentioned how the fold 6 is basically the same to the fold 5. However, the software is much more mature when it comes to utilizing the foldable form factor.

    I have it on pre ordered but im 50/50 might send it back and get the XL. Or i can use the credit and buy XL. I wish Google would have been the first company to use the cameras from the non folding phones and put them on the fold. Idk google is something else.

    The pixel 9 pro fold wont be for everyone, just like the samsung z fold 6 or any other fold out there. I have usd the pixel fold and i have the z fold 6 and i have to say i was impressed with the pixel fold 9 when i used it. What people need to do is use it first and experience it for yourselves ,then you will be able to make the right decision for yourself regardless of what anyone says. All fold comes with pros and cons. the answer is buy whats good for you.Whats good for you , may not be good fro somone else and vice versa.

      @JamaltLee  Месяц назад +1

      @halfmanamazing549 I agree 100%. People should definitely try these devices out for themselves before making a decision on which to get. When i got the original pixel fold earlier this year, I was so shocked because it was genuinely a really good device in contrast to what I've been hearing about it since it released. Literally, if it just had more multitasking features and some other things like an edge panel and persistent taskbar, I would've kept it.

      @wakanda4eva the software back when the fold 3 was released was better than the software we have right now on the pixel fold, lol. My main point in the video is that the software looks like it'll be the same. I'm hoping they add more features that benefit the foldable form factor, though.

    See you're missing the whole point of a pixel device. Everything is powered by AI. Literally like you're going to see Google lean into that. They're going to end up becoming the leaders they already are and going to continue to dominate. When it comes to the AI using Gemini and the features that they're going to add, they have tons of features. You know Google loves to do drops throughout the year of features that are going to come to a device. So what is coming out with is just the bare minimum of AI features and it already has more than any other phone out there. It is literally the smartest smartphone you can get and that's been the Google vision from the beginning. Google has never they've already said it. They're not here to try to beat benchmarks they don't care about that if that's what you're looking for. The pixels, not for you. And guess what? And by keeping everything clean and simple, they have been slowly increasing their percent in the market. I was just talking to a good buddy of mines that works for Verizon. I was a store manager for them for many years for over 10 years but I have connections in Verizon and they were telling me they're like Google is starting to make a dent in Samsung's Market. Say Google is starting to take a lot of people that are switching over from Samsung to pixels and they're very happy and they're staying there. That's the crazy part. A lot of people because the average person does not care about all those features. In fact, most of them the reason they stay away from Android and they go with apple is because of that because they have too many options. It gets complicated. People want simplicity. People want to be able to come from an iPhone and be able to use it very similar with very basic simple features. that's what people don't understand everybody's trying to make the pixel into a Samsung device and that's never going to be what's going to happen. That was never Google's vision to begin with. Their vision has always been create a conduit to push their AI. Software features their assistant all that. If you look at it year over year, Google has continued to focus on what the original vision was. They have never let up. They're not changing it for nobody. That's not what they're there if you want to Samsung if you want the best specs, that's why you have the Samsung phone. That's why Google doesn't worry about Samsung or any other manufacturer because it's a different Market. Google is like the Nintendo. They're separating themselves into their own category. Sure, they do not have the best graphics, but they have clean software and they have a lot of smart features. That's what they're focused on, which is what Nintendo does, but with their games they focus on their exclusives like their Mario and zeldo and so on and so on. Samsung and Apple are like saying Sony and and Xbox going at it. Basically stop trying to force Google to do what they're not trying to. That's not what they were made for. That's not what they started their vision. Whenever you try to do that, all you're doing is basically making another Samsung phone and then people are going to be like whoa. What's the point of getting the Google? If it's the same as the Samsung it does everything the same Samsung does. What's the point? That's not what the pixel is for. If you want hard raw specs and you want to have a million options you will always have Samsung. That's why Google is not worried about Samsung. They're not trying to take any people from the Samsung Market. That's not what they're aiming for. They're aiming for everybody else. The ones that want simplicity that just use their phone for basic features but want cool things like be able to open their screen and watch a movie you know on a tablet that's what I'm going to be using it for. You know I'm not going to be caring about all these crazy. I love my pixel 8 Pro. I have a 7 Pro also and a 6 Pro and I love where Google is headed. Why? Because my whole house is Google. Everything I have in my house is goo. I have a smart home built around Google's AI with Google cameras, Google displays, Google TVs, everything Google phones, Google pixel watch everything. I have works with Google and that's all that matters. And my girl has an iPhone. She's at Apple. She's been with apple for her whole life. I left Apple years ago and it still works because Google makes it accessible to everybody including the iPhone. So guess what it works out. See I couldn't have an Apple smart home because it wouldn't work unless I hadn't every. We both had iPhones. That's the reason why we decided to go with Google and guess what. We've been very happy and won't be looking back anytime soon. I will be laying a bed with the wifey and instead of having to turn on the TV maybe we want to watch something on the phone we could just open up and boom. We got a little miniature TV screen right there or I can download some movies and then when I'm traveling or something she could be in the car watching some movies on the phone like that is literally what we're going to be using these fold for. You know playing games. Google already said that they're working with developers to make games that are going to use the inside screen fully so Samsung isn't doing that. Nobody is doing that. So again this is what I'm talking about. Google is doing a whole different thing. They're not going to ever jump on that hardware train to try to make the most powerful thing. They're going to make hardware that is built around their AI software features that are coming out. That's why they gave you more RAM this year. Why? Because the new AI features will use more RAM. So to keep the phone from slowing down and to keep it nice and smooth, you got to give her more RAM and I guarantee you. That's going to probably be the upgrade that we're going to see every couple of years, if not every year from Google because the AI features are going to use more and more RAM and the more AI you're doing on the device itself, the more ram you're going to need again, I hate when reviewers review a device based on another phone or another game or anything like that. It's the same thing concept with video games. If a developer made the game to be a single player, how are you going to give it negative points because it's not multiplayer. That doesn't make any sense if that wasn't never the point so you want them to force to make something just to make you happy. No like let people do what they want to do and if you're going to review something, review it for what it is. If you're going to review a phone like the pixel, review it for what it says that it's supposed to do. If it doesn't do everything that it's supposed to do then that you can give it a negative review or if it's doing it bad or that those are where you give it negative. It's not all because this one does it better. No like okay, but they're two different categories. You're comparing a phone that's built around simplicity and AI to do most of your tasks versus a pure hardware phone. A phone that's just basically brute Force. Again, it's like comparing a electric vehicle to a F-150 or a motor. Any sort of motor. Why is the electric vehicle faster? Even though you have these massive thousand horsepower engines but yet still. The Tesla will smoke all of them and that's without even any upgrades to it. Just the standard. The way it comes out you got to do all kinds of modifications to already to $100,000 vehicle to be able to even catch a Tesla. So again, stop reviewing anything out there when you're comparing it to something else. That's not fair. You should be doing a review for what it is and say this is what it's supposed to do. I know oh it's supposed to do all the voice dictation but it's not doing it. Good okay that's something bad like that it's not. Oh well. You know this one has a higher resolution or higher this or no like okay so go get that phone then. You know that doesn't mean this phone is bad. Why is the pixel selling? Why is Google every year increasing their percent in the market ? Because of what it is

      I dont think I mentioned specs that much in the video, lol. My main thing was software features that take advantage of the foldable form factor. There's no excuses for Google to not have floating windows on pixel devices and better ways to enter splitscreen. As the creator and owner of the android platform, you would think they would focus more of these useful and cool features.
      In terms of Ai, what do pixel phones do that other phones can't? Samsungs ai photo features were better than the pixel 8s and will probably still be better than the pixel 9s. The only things the 9s have now are a new studio app to generate ai images and the add me in feature, which is cool but also a very basic photo editing trick. Call screening, now playing, and what? What else makes these pixels the "smartest" phone out there? You have two widgets that can't be removed from the homescreen of pixel devices, you cant change icons, and that sounds pretty dumb to me, lol. Circle to search came out on samsung devices first, and it has worked better on them. GOOGLE themselves used an S24 Ultra at their launch event to display their ai features 😂😂. Why not use the all new Pixel 9 series? This ai stuff is cool, and I appreciate the pixel experience, but let's stop acting like google is added a crazy amount of features that make their phones any better than the competition. It's preference for sure, but outside of call screening, there isn't really anything else a pixel does better than a galaxy.
      Now, about the review stuff. This wasn't a review. It was a first impression based on the video that came out on the new pixels. When I do my reviews, I try to review phones for what they are. You can see this with my pixel 8 review, althought I think pixels lack a lot of features I care about, I reviewed that phone for what it was and recommended it to certain kinds of people.
