2:02 definitely real, especially on the Rift S and Quest where the poorly designed battery compartment leads to the battery momentarily disconnecting during fast movement. Funny on video, absolutely heartbreaking in-game.
put cardboard between the battery and the controller compartment. issue completely goes.

2:05 Sometimes without trick saber even enabled for me it decides to do that. I hold my quest controllers sideways cause it's easier and sometimes the tracking dies cause I'm covering the ring.
I think this is actually a pretty fun idea to throw in occasionally, because it will entertain and satisfy your Beat Saber focused audience, while not getting flagged left and right. Also: I don't look at memes, so it's actually cool to have somebody compile the decent ones for me. ;-)
12:46 thought I was the only one. If I have a song stuck in my head, or I’m hearing one I always just rotate my wrists in the air as if I’m playing beat saber. Then everyone looks at me weird but that’s besides the point.
i remember finally beating CRab Rave in hard mode and looking at expert mode and thinking, "i'm never gonna do this," and today i just beat Crystallized on expert
Duuuuude. I dislocated my arm last Jan and was pathetically trying to play while only being able to play with my wrist, arm in a cast. Then I discovered 1 saber mode. Score! As I got more movement back I was able to watch RUclips and move my arms to the notes, pretending to play. Eventually I was back to playing, even with a giant hinged elbow brace. Finally I got to PT. They were so impressed with my range of movement (thanks best saber!) I finished PT early. Beat Saber for the win! #addicted

The Saber flying away has definitely happened to me. Almost exactly like that video at least once and slightly less dramatically a couple other times.
I guarantee the "alright Imma head out" was someone using an HP Reverb...all it takes is a low battery, a bad smack, or whatever, and your controller goes off on a journey. Fun in Blade and Sorcery, as your appendage is stabbing people across the room or chainsawing someone, bad in Beat Saber when you were finally getting a good score.
The one that felt the most relatable to me is when you find your song and it's a bad map, I hate when that happens
I started playing BeatSaber less than a week ago and I already feel all those memes. May the force be with us.
And goddamn I always hit the menu button on my old HTC Vive pausing the song. Every damn song at least once. Didn't see a meme for that one - no one playing on old Vive controllers anymore I assume?

I ABSOLUTELY think about how songs I listen to would work as maps. Also, you have a better appreciation for metal because most people that don't like metal can't feel what it's going for but Beat Saber gives you a pattern to recognize.
at 12:50 when you mentioned pretending to see the notes as your listening to music, I couldn't relate more. I downloaded the breaking bad intro and play it nonstop so every time my gf and i watch the show now i imagine the notes in the intro xD

I always had trouble with my neck ... playing BS 1h per day made it disappear ... but ... I also got a chest like a swimmer ... not sure if I like it ... ;-) but I LOVE to play BS, it is the perfect match for a workout, enjoying music and scoring like in my PC games ... and I love Naysy's attitude and contents
9:06 When possible, I like to bump up the note jump speed on easier levels so at least they play more at the speed of the harder levels. There are some old levels that I just can't even play anymore because the blocks are coming at you like a glacier.

I just got beatsaber and gave in after 10 minutes because my arms hurt. If you can play for 2 hours I have an ungodly amount of respect for you. I imagine expert plus players are BUFF
Yes, anytime I am listening to any song that I have ever played on beat saber. I am picturing the blocks in my mind. I used to go work out on a treadmill and every time I would listen to one of my favorite songs I would have to go right upstairs and get on my VR to get it out of my head. Sometimes I just like to listen to music and picture the best movements for it and I will have it memorized. I love this game.
Jeez, I can relate to each and everyone of those! But that's Beat Saber. Not the only game if it's kind, but there's just something special about it. This was a really fun to watch video.

I play beat saber, as well as another precision rhythm game called geometry dash which just so happens to feature a level editor. Now, whenever listening to music, my brain is fighting over gd, beat saber, and trying to enjoy the music in my head. It’s kind of a problem

When I got out of bed the day after I got my Quest and played BS for the first time I fell over. The muscles of my calves was absolute agony probably because they were so unaccustomed to the small movements I did just moving my upper body while standing still. Thankfully the pain eased up after a minute of walking (which probably looked hilarious because I couldn't walk properly) but they were sore for a few days after.

I still dearly love my PSVR. The valve is much better for tracking, but the headset itself for PSVR is just soooooo much more comfortable that I always end up preferring it. (Here's hoping PSVR2 is a comfortable🤞) And Quest's controllers are just waaay too small for my hands, and I haven't yet found a third party extender that is comfortable. (But always looking) For an example, I far prefer PlayStation to XBox, but PlayStation controllers are so small my hands cramp after using them very long. The original giant XBox controller that everyone complained about being too big was absolutely perfect sized for me, and one of the most comfortable controllers I have ever used.
And side note, I have lost almost 50 lbs, (46.4 and counting), in the last year and a half, Starting in May 2021), from just 30-60 minutes of daily Beat Saber and BoxVR without any other lifestyle or diet changes.
Kiwi extended grips for quest? My hands can get cramped otherwise.

The song good ,map bad and the saber floating away is like my life in beat saber 😅
just wanna say, whenever your saber floats away on the Quest, it's not because of bad tracking, but because the bt connection was lost, i.e. the battery is low..
Even if the headset cameras can't see the controllers, the rotation is still transmitted wirelessly, only the position is off (and usually frozen, not floating).. So yea, it wouldn't be rotating on its own, unless there's a connection issue.. nothing to do with tracking..

And yes, when I hear a good song on the radio, I often think to myself "A map of this song would definitely be awesome 😛" or I already have the song in the list and I go through the map in my head 🙈🙈🙈 . But no, I'm not addicted 🤪. By the way, if you've played too long and your arms are a little heavy the next day, we in Germany often say "I have arms like an orangutan 🦧". I think that sums it up very well 🤣🤣.

Usually in my car driving anywhere I hear a song and I see the notes in my head and I whack the steering wheel like it is a block and my hands are the sabers. It kills me because I'm usually no where near home and I want to beat saber haha!!❤️

At first got the psvr and beat saber and quickly realized: that sucks. No custom songs, no multiplayer, no mods and the song packs you have to buy are brutally overpriced... But after a while i got a good PC (w 2060 Super) and a Valve Index. Totally love it!
The flying sabers do happen usually when you loose traction on the quest 2 I've had it happen a couple of times

Oh, I love every moment of this video. I never would’ve thought that I would be playing video games for at least an hour a day when I am staring hard at turning 50 very soon. I love playing on expert plus and it is my favorite workout ever. I hope I don’t get too old to enjoy this game because then I’m just going to have to drink, but I really love it when I’m better than people a quarter of my age. I really like wiping the floor with children. Ha ha ha.
