      Hello Sou,
      for a B cup, the radius is about 7.5 cm so the diameter 15 cm. Than add or remove 5mm to the radius for each cup size.

    Thank you Diane, this video was a treat! I have a question for you, there is no video or blog posts on the subject of making a French seams sleeve, is that something you would be willing to show us? I love using French seams, but it gets tricky with a set in sleeve. Thank you.

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 лет назад +2

      Hello Jessica,
      I understand your concern, french seam is pretty hard to do in curve line, like for a set in sleeve that have curve lines and ease, some time it's not even possible, so frequently, there is more than only one seam allowance finishing in the garment.
      If you still want to try an armhole, your french seam must be tiny, 1st seam 3mm or 1/8 inch (I recommend you overlock) so the seam is even, and close. Than the 2nd seam 4mm or 3/16.

      Yes V neck in back & front will "always" fall, unless it's a fitted knit, you did nothing wrong.
      we usually add at least one little strap in the back like this.

    Diane would you use the sweetheart neckline as starting shape for a strappy/camisole top ???

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 лет назад +3

      Hello Wendy,
      I really have to make a video for a camisole
      For now, from your t-shirt bloc;
      1-you could raise the under arm points about 1 cm
      2-and yes you could use the sweetheart neck line, but I would lower it a bit 1 to 2 cm, because it's stretch fabric
      3-and from the 2 points of the sweetheart neck line, connect to the 1/2 shoulder
      4- the back is usually straight from one under arm point to the other
      5- for the straps, measure from the point of the sweetheart neck line to the 1/2 shoulder and continue the back until the straight line of the back bodice (4)
      Diane

    I was wondering what I would need to do to make a turtleneck with the basic block bodice.

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 лет назад

      Hello Marwasameer1,
      To do a turtleneck with the basic block bodice, first it depend if you have an opening.
      If not, you must do the neck big enough to go over the head. Maybe 2.5 cm center front 3cm at shoulder and 1 cm at center back, than I would try the top part.
      If you have an opening, from the basic neck, you don't need to enlarge much maybe 1cm center front 1.5 at shoulder and 5mm at center back, but it also depend on the style.
      Diane

      @@DianeDezieltoolfully I will be making a dress and I will attach a zipper at the center back so I don't need to worry about it fitting the head. Where exactly would I add the 1 cm at center front? Is it to the circumference of the neckline or to the height of the neckline? And the 1.5 cm at the shoulder?
      Thank you for your generous help and information.

      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 лет назад

      Hello Nana,
      If you have an apparent zipper, you must first remove parallel do center front or back 1/2 the width of you zipper, than add your normal seam allowance at the neck and the width of the zipper tape at the center front or back.
      If the zipper is not apparent, than we usually put 2 cm at center back or front, and you must do a jug for this seam allowance, at the top part.
