and pools to form! Perfect conditions to try and catch some stranded rockfish or monkeyfaced prickleback eels! I also come across some sea urchin and show you how to open them up so you can give them a try next time you see some. Ended up catching and cooking the catch from the pools! Growing up at the beach and going diving we used these urchins for bait. Break them open and watch the fish come running.
Now, that I eat sushi, they are one of my favorites.
But years ago I wouldn't have taken money to eat them. They are delish.

Yep, that "roe" that's usually yellow or orange in color and usually has a briny, slightly sweet taste, is indeed a sea urchin's reproductive organs. Im pretty sure they have 5 each urchin or at least most
All of your videos are long, but go by super fast, I love it, it's inspired me to fish again and use Butter
I make my own poke poles and they last for years . Sometimes use them to sort of pole vault across gaps to fish harder and rarely touched spots . Like that knot , looks simple enough to tie .

6 foot tides... I live in Nova Scotia, we have 18 foot tides here on the bay of Fundy and further up the bay the tides reach over 40 feet, highest in the world. On low tides here we have to climb down nearly 20 feet of ladder on the wharves just to get on a boat.
