Ah, So Many Memories Of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay When We Were Younger.
We weren't originally planning to ho to Busch Gardens when we were in Orlando for 2011 because we were already there a year before that. Then we saw they were adding this and said "Oh we got to go back". And today it's one of my favorite roller coasters anywhere.
I used to go to busch gardens every weekend during the school year and almost every day during the summer. i love it. and i can't wait for this

Busch Gardens is the best place in the universe(other than heaven) and I can't wait to ride their newest attraction. Also, I might be alittle partial to this ride because I absolutely love all animals, but I'm obsessed with cheetahs.
Cheetah Hunt is one wicked coaster! Love the way Busch Gardens models their coasters after the animals. :)

Ride duration -- 3 1/2 minutes (including loading and unloading)
12 years later the ride is now considered a old ride.

Amazing ride! Went to Busch Gardens just this afternoon... over a 4 hour wait just to get on the ride! Crazy! On top of that it was 90 degrees and humid! :) worth the wait!
its funny how when it says a new breed of speed, the audio says old
i just got back from busch gardens and lurked this pretty good, kinda looks like a snoozer compared to kumba, gwazi, montu, and sheikra. No loops, but it goes near part of the animal reserves (which i would assume would be disturbing). Still has the potential to be fun though.
I can't wait for this ride to open! I go to BGA on average of once every month and a half and I've been following this project since the first menchion of a new attraction. I'm also happy they're giving new life to that area of the park and the old Monorail station. Keep up the great work. ;)

The first to launches are right next to each other:
You come out of the first station at 30mph (launch 1)
go into a over banked turn
then a 2nd launch (2)
Should go 70 mph to make it the actual speed of the majestic Cheetah

an employee at the park a few weeks ago told us it's 3 1/2 minutes or so. was gonna go next weekend but dont think i want to deal with the crowds :p

I was at Busch Gardens last night for eighth grade grad nite, and we stared at that thing for probably ten minutes. The ride in a whole looks AMAZING, but that one little section thats really high in the air? Uh-uh, it looks really freaky and confusing. I don't know if i would want to get on it.

@scriminamp Alright, bro. The water portion of Rhino Rally was never working - and a huge money waster to fix. It was never really functional. Busch was never a Family Owned Park, being made by a large company to begin with. This new attraction is so much more then a rollercoaster. Blackstone is doing a great job.

@JasonforJesus08 60 This is probably the max speed, not just because they couldn't make it go faster, but because the cheetah, when hunting, can run at 60 mph (the cheetah can run up to 70 mph, but the average speed is 60 mph).
@rickamerson I did yesterday. It was pretty fun, but it's maximum speed is 60. I went 60 in my car on my way to Busch Gardens.

@Hiagandaus , actually they're already building it now and it'll be finished this spring. I've been there twice this year and have seen the construction :]
They make it sound like you're right over the cheetah exhibit. When you walk past the ride, it's obvious that you aren't. In fact, the cheetah exhibit is on the other side of the main path.
I went to Busch Gardens a week or two ago and they were doing test runs of the ride with dummies. Maybe it was just my perspective, but the ride didn't look that fast at all. Isn't it named after the fastest land animal? So why the slow speed?
@CCprod422 It will probably be a lot faster than 60, for top thrill dragster they said 80, and it launches at 120.
@austin101100 I hope so. I swear I saw that it's maximum speed was 60 on the random bits of info scattered through the line for the ride, but maybe I was wrong.

@scriminamp I would like to say again, the same management is in charge of Busch. In all reality, they are just OWNED by someone different. Blackstone has nothing to really do with the quality of the park. Cheetah Hunt was in the process of being designed for the park before Blackstone bought them. If they felt like a family park then, they sure as hell do now also. Unless you can explain to be EXACTLY what's do different now, don't blame Blackstone.

This ride is So Smooth & Fast, i can ride it 20 times no prob. but once on Gwazi ride kicked my ass & spit me out it felt like i was in a car wreck...Don't believe me check out my Busch Gardens roller coaster videos on my channel, Must visit Tampa Busch Gardens its better than most Theme Parks, but get the express pass its worth it.
@PastTime777 The original name was said to be "Cheetaka", which is obviously a MUCH better name. Insted, they come out with the worst name I've ever heard for a coaster. I know of kiddie coasters with better names than "Cheetah Hunt" (example: Lucy's Crabby Cabbie @ Carowinds sounds less stupid than "Cheeta Hunt" does).
Why they didn't keep the original, unique, and cool name; I have no idea. All I know is that Cheetah Hunt is a name you'd expect from Six Flags, not Busch Gardens.

@Arapp186 Yeah, it doesn't go with the rest of the big coaster names in the park.. Cheetah Chase is fine for a kiddie ride, but now it's just dumb to have 2 stupid Cheetah names. Tell them to fix it , the outside world is not amused.

Great coaster. Bad name. And those people get 6 figures for coming up with this stuff? Please. Drop the "Hunt" because it rhymes with... Give it some mythical creature name like the other coasters. Or just call it Cheetah and that's it. Name it after a horse like CP did. You see, horses are better because regular people own them. Not many own a Cheetah. So this idea of bringing awareness to an African animal is dumb. HORSES.
