So cool that I can watch something from decades ago about a theme park I love. Pretty cool to see the loading station unchanged from the monorail for Cheetah Hunt.
At least the park kept the Hospitality House (3:05). It is amazing how that building is still around. It was one time an Italian Buffet but then was turned into a general restaurant. A great reminder of the Park's vast history.
Wow, didn't realize how big the wild life area was for the animals... although it's still rather big, it would've been nice to keep it more open space for certain animals like the hippos, elephants, etc.
It wasn’t ruined, it changed focus on rides because you can’t really get far with a beer garden when Disney World is nearby. Look at Cypress Gardens. Once a popular attraction declined as Disney, Universal, and the rest gained more popularity, and now it’s a Legoland that can manage to compete on a smaller scale
Times and focus change. It was made that way because of Busch gardens Williamsburg and to compete with competition right down the road. If people wanted beer and to see animals they would go to a zoo not spend $120 on Busch gardens for the same thing. The rides help not only bring in enthusiasts and people far away. But also help bring back locals. I do wish I could experience the Busch Gardens of the past. But it had to adapt to competition. As stated before if I wanted to drink beer and go see animals I would just go to a zoo where it's cheaper
It's so strange not to see huge roller coasters peaking over the trees.
and a closed brewery like in williamsburg, the parks arent the same without the beer brewing smell
Thank you for this.
My pleasure!

I have been reading a book about the park, and it was a good book.

Many Sundays my parents took me to Tampa to visit my grandparents. We went here many times. Thank you it was the early 60’s

The african elephants are favorite to both adults and kids and they,re my favorite too🐘
A lot of this is still there

Excellent 1967 Busch Gardens Tour and it was mastered from 16mm color film, P.S. The Busch Gardens of today, I do NOT like it at all!!
imagine if the people of anheuser busch in the 60's could peak into the future and see the 'new face' of the company - dylan mulvaney 🤢🤮
Now it's all "The fastest roller coaster in the south east!" "Highest this" and "steepest that!"
I would imagine idea because they'd like people to still go there.
It’s still very beautiful. And some of the earlier coasters like Kumba and Montu use this beauty and theming to their advantage
Damn none of these people got to see technology
4:40 those were the days before cancel culture 😂😂
It's too bad that they ruined the garden with amusement rides.
You must 82
It wasnt ruined. It was good back then and is still good now.
