Aka: brigadeiros. I have no idea why these haven’t exploded in the US. They’re amazing! We make a few changes tho. We add the chocolate powder in when the condensed milk is still cooking, and a Tbsp of butter makes it tastier. Sometimes, after we cut it off, we stir a splash of vanilla in too. And after it refrigerates, we usually just manually roll out the balls (use oil on your hands) and roll them in chocolate sprinkles.
They did blow up in the US, but as a "recipe the USA came up with". Sadly, the US is kinda dumb
are you from the us?
No we dont put vanilla in the recipe? Why are you saying we...

Here in Brazil, we have BRIGADEIRO. You put a can of condensed milk, a spoon or two of butter, cocoa powder, and mix it in medium heat. When it starts boiling, you have to never stop mixing, until it gets to the point you want. If you let it sit while boiling, it'll stick to the bottom of the pan and make a crust, which can be really a pain in the ass to clean... Let it cool, it'll get much harder. You roll if you want, but you can just eat it.
Its delicious isnt it? Im brazilian too!
Her voice is so relaxing
In Brazil that’s what we call brigadeiro but we don’t dust it with cocoa powder, we either eat it “raw” or make little balls with chocolate sprinkles. You can also put a spoon of butter while cooking it. Its delicious 🤤
Sugar also works for coating instead of sprinkles, esp if youre doing casadinho!!
I wouldn’t recommend coco powder on the outside. It’s too bitter and can get caught in your throat and make you choke
It’ll be sticky though
@@_rouella.kamuii_ true but better than having a bitter taste in the mouth and choking on powder.

@@haidykamel8838 Nah

An extra tip:
Too much coco powder can make it bitter so you can mix coco powder with powdered sugar to cancel the bitterness to your liking

To much bitter we can't eat
Also, you will probably choke on the cocoa powder.

Tips from a brigadeiro maker:
• To make a perfect brigadeiro, you need to choose good ingredients. Choose the best quality condensed milk without crystallized sugar, extra butter and powdered or bar chocolate.
• The choice of pan is also important. Opt for one with a thick bottom, as it distributes heat evenly. If it is too thin, the brigadeiro burns more easily.
• There are many different types of brigadeiro. Substitute cocoa powder for coconut ice cream, top with grated coconut and you have some delicious Beijinho de Coco. Do the same but with strawberry ice cream and you have Bicho de Pé. Make some with peanuts and peanut butter, top with a cashew and you have Cajuzinho. The opportunities are endless. Enjoy! 🍫
Eu uso leite de coco pra fazer beijinho, demora horrores pra pegar o ponto, mas fica uma delícia hahahahaha
Well you’re clearly an expert in making brigadeiro 😂
O Brasil tem o melhor brigadeiro. 💞

Thanks for the bonus recipe! I wonder what would happen if you made the brownies thin, like if you spread the batter into a cookie sheet, then sandwiched a thin layer of the truffles from the video between 2 brownie slices? Or maybe just 1 layer of each? I bet that would kick ass! Maybe a shorter baking time for the thinned-out brownies?

Very good choice of video. I got to watch it bcz of you. And after watching it i realized i really needed to watch it
I have tried it. It’s pretty good
Have you tried raw milk? The lactase (only found in raw milk, the heat in pasteurized destroys the enzyme) will eat the lactose so you could potentially enjoy normal milk again 😍 (probably not condensed lol)
This isn’t true though. Pasteurised milk still contains lactose. It just doesn’t contain (as much) bacteria anymore. The enzymes and proteins causing lactose intolerant people to have the reaction don’t go away by pasteurising it. Raw milk also contains the lactose proteins… and more bacteria. (Also I think in the US they’re not even allowed to sell raw milk? But that may just be raw milk cheeses)
@@leya2215 Hi, I said that pasteurized milk doesn’t contain lactAse. It of course still contains lactose. The human body can’t digest lactose which the lactase is supposed to “eat” for lack of better term. So that’s why lactose intolerant people are often able to digest raw milk.
This is my new dessert book
I make this too! Here's my simple recipe...
🥫1 small can of sweetened condensed milk.
🍫1 bag of Hershey's chocolate chips.
🥣Place both ingredients into a bowl & heat in microwave until melted.
✍️(Be sure to check every 30 seconds or so, as you don't want to scorch the chocolate.)
🥄Stir until a there's a thick consistency.
🌬Let it cool down for about 5 minutes or until there's a very thin layer of hardened chocolate.
🫗Pour it into a glass dish with a lid or a baking pan. Line either dish with tin foil.
⏲️Place in fridge until hardened. (A few hours.)
🔪Cut into squares.
😋Enjoy!
🧊Keep refrigerated.
🗓Lasts approximately 7 days.
✍️(You dont have to line the dish unless you want a no mess clean up. Either way it needs to be greased. I prefer using tin foil instead of plastic wrap as it produces less condensation on the bottom of the fudge, which will cause it to have a slick or slimey feel to it.)
📌If you like peanut butter fudge you can exchange 1 bag of chocolate chips for 2 bags of Reese's chips. You must use 2 bags though, otherwise it won't firm up & turns into a gooey like consistency.
it works guys!! it’s delicious.

Brigadeiro gourmet basicamente
First lactose intolersnt person I've seen that doesn't chug down milk like a madman lol
Thanks for the recipie!
This truffle is similar to fudge, albeit different in that it's not made up of mostly cocoa solids, but cocoa powder and condensed milk. The presentation style resembles a Japanese Nama, although Nama is a ganache truffle, meaning that it's smooth and not puffy, resulting in fine squares. The ingredients for this one are basically that of a Brazilian Brigadeiro except without the butter. Appearance-wise, it looks nothing like a Brigadeiro. It looks like it originated from Tiktok.
Mas no Brasil, Brigadeiro é basicamente tudo que tem esses ingredientes, como o brigadeiro de colher, por exemplo, que não tem nada haver com os docinhos de festa. Enfim, de qualquer jeito é gostoso igual❤
@@thisissofia624 Fair enough, but I think that because this "truffle" has two ingredients. I put the word in quotes because usually, truffles have an outer shell and are made from ganache, but they don't necessarily have to be this way. Either way, Brigadeiro typically has 3 or 4 ingredients, depending on whether you're using eggs, which are in the original recipe. Butter is usually added as well, though I suppose you don't have to. At that point, though, it's just cocoa powder and condensed milk - hardly something you can say is uniquely from one place.
Mashaa Allah
