Karl Malone: Tough Battle vs. Jason Kidd and the Mavs (1996, 36 points)

Karl Malone scored 36 points on 16-31 shooting and hauled in 10 rebounds but the Utah Jazz were defeated by the Mavericks 136-133 in double overtime. John Stockton scored 28 points to go along with 10 assists.
The story here was Jason Kidd,s 20 points and 25 ASSISTS!!!! Also, Jerry Sloan was ejected in the 2nd quarter after he picked up his 2nd technical foul. Sloan was disputing an offensive foul on Antoine Carr.
Karl Malone scored 15 points in the 3rd quarter but the Jazz still trailed by 9 going into the 4th, mainly due to Jim Jackson scoring 13 points in the 3rd for the Mavs. Exciting game overall and a great way to end 2014.
