Loved it. Here are some candidates: "And You And I" - Yes "Hey You" - Pink Floyd "Xanadu" - Rush (several riffs in their actually) "Hope" - Rush (Alex Lifeson solo piece - actually became a recurring feature during their later touring years)
@@gdkopinionator4356 It's like Nashville, but the "low" E is replaced with a second high E, so the lowest string is the A, which being an octave string, is only one tone below the B.
Absolutely brilliant Mark. I especially enjoyed that there were so many riffs from my all time favourite band, Led Zeppelin. Superb execution as always, thanks for putting this together 👍😎🎸

Familiar with many, but not all of those. The ones I recognize, I agree with. The ones I don't, are good, too. I was thrilled at _Walk Right In_ being the opener! You ask for more suggested entries for this list; here are mine: • _He Was My Brother,_ Simon & Garfunkel, 1965 [I'm not quite certain it was done on a 12, but it works *really well* with 2 guitars, one playing in E, the othe capo'd 2 frets higher than the first, playing in D. Whether either or both are 6 or 12-strings.] • _I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better,_ The Byrds, 1966(?), written by Gene Clark • _Hazy Shade of Winter,_ Simon & Garfunkel, 1967(?) [Again, not sure it was a 12, but it works best that way.] • _If I Needed Someone,_ The Beatles, 1967(?), wr. by George Harrison • _Creeque Alley,_ The Mamas and the Papas, 1968 • _Lady Jane,_ The Rolling Stones, 1968 Being a big, early fan of S&G, I could name a few others of theirs, but I wouldn't want to make the list too heavy with their songs. _Fakin' It_ _America_ ("Let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together...") _For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her_ Much the same could be said of The Byrds. Those guys really knew how to put an electric 12 to work!! Keep up the great work; stay 12-strung! Fred

Back in the USSR doesn't have a twelve string. WMGGW does have a twelve string that doubles the bass during the bridges, but it's hard to hear because it's panned in the same channel as the lead guitar.
@@savagebiker1879 I'm pretty sure that guitar that plays the melody between "I'm back in the USSR" and "you don"t know how lucky you are" is a 12 string, it has that certain chime to it, and if it isn't, the Beatles did a damn fine job at replicating that tone. Listen to it closely and tell me what you think
@@YankeePinstriper I think a 2 part guitar harmony, like on "Birthday " is the most likely scenario, especially considering that this was during the White Album sessions.

I just received the Harley Benton I ordered and overall I was happy with the fit and finish, tone, etc. , especially for the price. However the G strings seemed difficult to get in tune …. before buying I had read that changing strings on these is crazy hard… with only 6 slots for 12 strings, each pair of strings having to share one hole in the tailpiece …. so I also bought a WD 12 string trapeze tailpiece with 12 slots for less than $30, it cost$37.84 with shipping… The 12 slot tailpiece fit on the existing trapeze and I was able to restring the guitar with the original strings because I’m cheap lol…. it worked! Something about not having to share a hole solved the G string problem… so I highly recommend to all purchasers of this guitar, spend the extra 30 bucks and you won’t have restringing problems, and if you’re having tuning issues maybe that will help as well. GREAT review, great playing BTW… but there IS another review worth watching… on “Jon is just TOO loudD“ RUclips channel.
I made a master list of 67 'classic' songs that use a 12. I have about 10 more to add that viewers reminded me of or that I didn't know about. Thanks for checking it out. Let catch up and plan something else soon. Take care.
Hey brother. Thanks so much. I'm really happy with the way this one came out. Check out one of my really early videos. Pantera-Suicide Note Part one features a twelve string. Surprised not to see America-Horse with no name. Space Oddity by David Bowie l, Life by the Drop by SRV. Also, 39 and Crazy Little Thing called love by Queen plus Suite Madame Blue by Styx and Close My eyes Forever by Lita Ford with Ozzy are some other examples. Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift is another example
Hey Brother. I busted out Life By the Drop. I actually did an entire cover of it a few months back. SRV ‘LIFE BY THE DROP LIVE 12 STRING COVER ruclips.net/video/-6EesjazqxY/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Let me know what you think. For more of a rock guy I think I did it pretty good justice. You're the first person to mention that I didn't play Suicide Note Part I. I figured I'd get bombarded with that one. I've created a master list that is now 71 songs strong. All of the other tunes you mention are on there. I literally just broke out a random 25. Certainly Stairway and Space Oddity have to make the top 20, and maybe even Pantera. Suite: Madame Blue is one of my all time favorite tunes. 39 is a good one but if you notice, Brian always plays it on a short scale guitar because it's actually tuned up....only Brian May would tune a 12 string up. As far as Horse goes, I just finished a video called: 5 Classic (Easy) 12 string songs that you can learn today. I'll probably upload on Friday. Do you think if I say to my wife, honey, I have 6 12 string guitars (I play 10 in the video) but I don't have a short scale one so I need one. LMAO. Wow. I had forgotten about many of these songs. Thanks for the trip through my adolescence. I have never owned a 12-string. But, now I have a Variax, so now I own a few 12-string solid-bodies and a couple acoustic 12-strings, all virtual, lol. The Variax 12-strings were too perfect for me with the stock settings. I had to edit the octave strings to make them very slightly detuned in order to be able to hear it as a 12-string. Speaking of 12-strings. I saw James Gang at Copley High School in Akron, March 1970. Joe Walsh did a couple 12-string songs while Jim Fox and Dale Peters took a break. The second song required re-tuning the 12-string. It was amazing to see Joe Walsh go to an alternate tuning in what seemed like under 60 seconds, and the tuning was accurate to boot.
@@8MinuteAxe - When I saw James Gang in March,1970, they had recently finished recording their 2nd album, "Rides Again"(?) which had Funk 49. Joe was playing an SG, or Melody Maker through a Marshall. When the Melody Maker started glitching, he swapped it for a clear-body Dan Armstrong. Have you ever heard Funk 48?
Hey James. Thanks so much. I started putting this together and it was going to be a quick compilation video and then I added some new riffs, then started some mixing, and I ended really liking it. Hey Mark. Great job on the guitars. Well played. You asked to be connected to more 12 String Riffs. I’m an Aussie and often our musos get left out (unless it’s AC/DC). Well here are a few from The Easybeats and The John Butler Trio. Also several Brit bands are omitted to. To me the greatest 12 string riff is “Look Through Any Window” by the Hollies. I hope you enjoy these 1. Aussie 60's band The Easybeats. Listen to "I'll Make You Happy". (The Easybeats wrote and performed "Friday On My Mind") 2. The Animals. "Don't let me be misunderstood" 3. The Hollies. "Look through any window" (one of the best) 4. British band Cliff Richard and The Shadows. "On the beach", and "In The Country" 5. Another Aussie, The John Butler Trio. "Funky Tonight", and "Ocean". I can't imagine how John plays Funky. This song was performed at the 2007 Arias, byJohn Butler and Keith Urban. Outstanding 6. The Searchers "When You Walk In The Room" 7. The Shadows. "My Grandfather's Clock" 8. The Beatles. "Every Little Thing" and "Eight Days a Week"
Hey Pensive Boogie. I really appreciate your list. I've performed all of the songs on the list except the Easybeats tune (I know it, I just havent covered it) and Funky Tonight I did Ocean in two videos. Unfortunately, Jon Butlers label likes to block.
Give a little bit might be the song that made me fall in love with the 12 string. I saw Roger Hodgson (of supertramp) in concert once and he played that song twice! 🤘😎🎸

Is there really a Greatest 12 string riff or riffs ?? That is the Ultimate question ! To me there really isn't one. Each has it's place in time, in music and in it's reception. There are so many to chose from and the range in genres is just as broad. That is not counting complete songs on the 12 string. Mark as always you did a outstanding job at picking some of these riffs. Never a let down ! What is your favorite 12 string song, either with vocals and band or just the 12 string ? Mine is " Hope " by Alex Lifeson.
Hey Charles. I saw this come in last week and it's really thought provoking. Also, in a countdown, do I judge the riff on its own in the context of how quality the song is? Not sure which way to go. Not many people watched it but I have to tell you that I was more affected by Neil's death than any other person that I haven't met. It really hit me hard. Rush was like part of the family. As far as what I like, my wheelhouse is really playing and singing. I'm a solid guitarist and a solid singer. I'm not exceptional at either but I've done 1000s of shows and I'm most comfortable with an acoustic in front of an audience. I've done tons of covers on the channel, lately I've been tracking. @@8MinuteAxe Neil's death still hits me hard to this day. Like you I was everything Rush as a teenager. Even more so once I hit high school. I dove head first into music wanting to be a apart of it. I found I couldn't play much of anything. But did find that I had an ear for sound and the business. Which lead me to stage production, lighting and security. I became a roadie for a number of years. Rush to me was the Ultimate band on the planet. Their music creativity was second to none as far as I was concerned. Each member being a master craftsmen at their instrument. Just made the desire for one to want more. I became a half a** historian of the band over the years. I also loved to read Neil's memoirs. Hi, Mark! I really enjoyed this video, which showed off your incredible skill and also your growing collection of 12-string guitars! Very cool. I loved the Led Zeppelin riffs and also your inclusion of "Wild Horses." Is "My Sweet Lord" played on a 12-string? I think so, but I could be wrong. Also, "Across the Universe" I think is a 12-string song. Finally, I think "The Song Remains the Same" easily qualifies for inclusion in any "best-of" list. In any case, I won't quibble with your choices. Frankly, I would like to see more extended playing followed by a lesson, a format you've used many times before. You're a great player and an excellent teacher.

Very cool. My only surprise was not one REM song. Peter Buck is a great 12 string player and many early Studio releases featured his 12 string Ric. Sometimes live he played them on his 6 string instead, but he is killer on a 12.
Hey Ralph. Thanks so much for checking out the video. I appreciate your time and comment. I've done a few REM songs on the channel (So. Central Rain in several, Gardening at Night, Losing My Religion, a live version of REMs arrangement of Femme Fatale) but admittedly Peter Buck, Johnny Marr, Robyn Hitchcock, John Butler, Steve Hackett, and many others have been underrepresented in the 120 plus 12 string videos I've done. You know, when I did this video almost 2 years ago my master list of 12 string songs had about 60 on it. Now it has 175. Way more songs use a 12 then I ever realized. While My Guitar Gently Weeps and She Came in through the bathroom window both have 12 strings. I'm a Beatles junkie and I just found that out recently. I've never been a huge REM fan although I have seen them twice (89 and 2003). I live in ATL now and they are played to death which doesnt help. I'm due for a video of classic 80s 12 string songs. That's on the short list for 2023. Happy New Year to you and your family. Please take care and be well. Mark

Hey Mark, a great riff that’s on a twelve string, is “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” by Poison. Bret Michaels, the lead singer of Poison plays a twelve string on “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” when he plays it live.
Fantastic well done! One quibble...I believe on WILD HORSES Mick Taylor was actually playing a "Nashville strung, and tunes" 6 string to get the 12 string effect. How about the Stones version of As Tears Go By , KR played a 12 string acoustic on that...Harmony I believe.
Nice selection Mark. One of my favorite riffs on a 12-string that you didn't include is the opening to Rod Stewart;s Maggie May. Almost any Gordon Lightfoot song could have easily fit in here as well, especially Last Time I Saw Her or Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. Great video!
You nailed( Walk right in ),I always thought here comes the sun was twelve string Rickenbacker .Norwegian wood surely. The ones that just involve strumming don't do it for me if they did I'd put Bowie's rendition of Amsterdam in.In the pines Leadbelly, then anything with a walking bass. Bach's (Jesu joy of man's desiring) is an excellent one for the twelve ,drop d bass. Being from UK I only recently heard Townes Van Zandt through true detective and have been playing alot of (lungs)works well . I'll drop you an email
Hey Mark. You always leave such thought provoking comments and I appreciate it. I like Townes but I was watching a video where people were arguing that he's one of the 10 greatest musicians of all time and I was thinking 'great underrated talent, but let's not get carried away'. If he would have made it big he would be held in less regard. The mystique adds a lot to it in my opinion. The only song on Rubber Soul with a 12 is If I Needed Someone and maybe I'm Looking Through You in a couple of parts. Norwegian Wood is a 6 with a second fret capo. I talk a lot about it in my 12 string performance of it NORWEGIAN WOOD ON THE 12 STRING ruclips.net/video/y2SDnTo0vp4/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Definitely shoot me an email. I finally have some time this weekend to catch up with some folks! Take care and thanks much for the amazing support and encouragement. I do appreciate your time and I love your comments. -Mark
Hey Mark. This was a nice set. I've dropped you an email with a suggestion for the next in this series, but also should add, to that suggestion, 'Statesboro Blues'. Originally by 'Blind' Willie McTell it's well covered by many artists, including The Allmans.
Since last left comment for you I upgraded the 12 string herd considerably with a Cole-Clark Fat Lady II - 12 string in all Victoria Blackwood. Gorgeous wood related to Koa.. Sounds much like your Taylor in the first bit of this video. Cured my long lust for a D35-12 slot head.
Hey Ross. I mixed that one in true stereo and I was listening through headphones while I was running and I think it really makes a difference. The electric 12 really sparkles on that one. I appreciate the continued support and I hope you have a great weekend. Take care and be safe. -Mark
Hey Ross. My new one is up when you have time ruclips.net/video/-MCIWxjVYUk/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. I really appreciate the support. Have a great weekend. -Mark
Great choice of a variety of styles of Classic 12 string driven songs. Mark your in your element when you focus on the 12-string. That's your niche on You Tube don't forget that.
Al, are you trying to tell me that my solo on Kid Charlemagne wasn't good enough. LOL. Just kidding my friend. I appreciate it. Singing and playing the acoustic has always been my strong suit. I've been teaching for 25 years and I've become a very technically proficient guitarist but I grabbing the Taylor and sitting in front of a mic is like putting on an old pair of sweats. Thanks so much for the AMAZING support. You've been a big supporter since I had less than a 1000 subs and I really do appreciate it very much. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. -Mark
A really good more recent 12 string riff is Mosquito Song by Queens Of The Stone Age. Also, some of the Garage rock revival bands from the last decade use 12 string electrics (Oh Sees, King Gizzard, Mikal Cronin etc.) and they're all great
Hey Nick. When I first saw the word Mosquito I was thinking of an old Gilligan's Island episode. Do you know the reference. I'll definitely check out the QOTNSA tune. They're one of my favorite bands of the modern era. If you can call it that. FYI, New video is up when you have time. It's slow out of the gate so please give it some love. LOL ruclips.net/video/-MCIWxjVYUk/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Have a great weekend. -Mark
Hey Walter. Thanks so much for checking it out. When I do my top 20 I'm definitely going to need to pay homage to either Blind Willie McTell or Leadbelly. Thankfully, I'm a pretty good fingerstyle player because my slide playing stinks. LOL. If you have time, check out my cover of LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS COVER AND LESSON ruclips.net/video/vZdVOj1wSr8/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. I'm also uploading a mini concert tomorrow featuring covers of Strawberry Fields, Pinball Wizard, and more. Thanks so much for supporting the channel. I appreciate your time and comment. Have a great evening and take care. -Mark
Loved it. Here are some candidates:
"And You And I" - Yes
"Hey You" - Pink Floyd
"Xanadu" - Rush (several riffs in their actually)
"Hope" - Rush (Alex Lifeson solo piece - actually became a recurring feature during their later touring years)
I don’t think Hey You was done on a 12 string, he used all light gauge strings.
@@tepidtooth8539 I was wondering about that. So Nashville it is. Scratch that from my list, Mark. :)
@@gdkopinionator4356 It's like Nashville, but the "low" E is replaced with a second high E, so the lowest string is the A, which being an octave string, is only one tone below the B.
"Answer To The Question" Moody Blues
Great playing and great pics on the riffs!!
This video totally kicks ass. Exceptional playing no filler! Best video yet,,
Absolutely brilliant Mark. I especially enjoyed that there were so many riffs from my all time favourite band, Led Zeppelin. Superb execution as always, thanks for putting this together 👍😎🎸

Great video Mark! Nice to see “That’s The Way” here! And I liked how you dated when some songs were recorded and released if there was a large gap of time in between! Some I would’ve liked to see that I didn’t are

Keep up the good work! Talk soon!
Sounds like another fun video. I think it is great that you will be doing the songs in chronological order. Looking forward to it.
Hey Michael. The video came out great. I only do 1 min of intro and then launch right into the riffs. I remixed them all to. I'm really excited about this one. I'm gonna be on the chat at 145 if you're around. Thanks so much for all of the support! Have a great weekend. -Mark

Great selection of 12 string riffs, even a few I didn't realize were done on 12's. Good job. Do like the sound of that HB electric.
Hey Tom. I really do. I'm doing a head to head with the Ric and HB right now (literally working on it right now) and as classic as the Ric sounds again, unless you're in a serious Byrds cover band there's no way to justify the price tag vs the HB. Familiar with many, but not all of those. The ones I recognize, I agree with. The ones I don't, are good, too.
I was thrilled at _Walk Right In_ being the opener!
You ask for more suggested entries for this list; here are mine:
• _He Was My Brother,_ Simon & Garfunkel, 1965 [I'm not quite certain it was done on a 12, but it works *really well* with 2 guitars, one playing in E, the othe capo'd 2 frets higher than the first, playing in D. Whether either or both are 6 or 12-strings.]
• _I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better,_ The Byrds, 1966(?), written by Gene Clark
• _Hazy Shade of Winter,_ Simon & Garfunkel, 1967(?) [Again, not sure it was a 12, but it works best that way.]
• _If I Needed Someone,_ The Beatles, 1967(?), wr. by George Harrison
• _Creeque Alley,_ The Mamas and the Papas, 1968
• _Lady Jane,_ The Rolling Stones, 1968
Being a big, early fan of S&G, I could name a few others of theirs, but I wouldn't want to make the list too heavy with their songs.
_Fakin' It_
_America_ ("Let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together...")
_For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her_
Much the same could be said of The Byrds. Those guys really knew how to put an electric 12 to work!!
Keep up the great work; stay 12-strung!

Beautiful job, Mark! Who'd have thought that the Beatles, Monkees, and Alice in Chains would every be on the same "list". Nicely done, sir.

Great work Mark.
Every video you make is awesomeeee! Awesome quality, man!! Two songs you missed are Back in the USSR and While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles

Hey Doug. Shoot me an email when you have time. It's been a while. Just want to make sure all is good with you!
So many good riffs yet to learn! Thank you Mark for sharing!
Well done! I see you LIKE Aussie music! Well done! That Harley Benton 12 string electric is sounding the goods! \m/

Fun video!!
LMAO. @@8MinuteAxe Great rendition of the SRV classic
Please disregard a lot of this comment because you covered most of it the the Cool Licks video. lol
So far Traveling Riverside Blues is my fav

Vaseline machine gun : Leo Kottke
Sight Return: The Bluetones
So central Rain : REM
8 miles high: Byrds

I hope you enjoy these
1. Aussie 60's band The Easybeats. Listen to "I'll Make You Happy". (The Easybeats wrote and performed "Friday On My Mind")
2. The Animals. "Don't let me be misunderstood"
3. The Hollies. "Look through any window" (one of the best)
4. British band Cliff Richard and The Shadows. "On the beach", and "In The Country"
5. Another Aussie, The John Butler Trio. "Funky Tonight", and "Ocean". I can't imagine how John plays Funky. This song was performed at the 2007 Arias, byJohn Butler and Keith Urban. Outstanding
6. The Searchers "When You Walk In The Room"
7. The Shadows. "My Grandfather's Clock"
Getting some nice tones from some of them guitars AXE.
Nothing like a 12 string gentle push through sound.
Give a little bit might be the song that made me fall in love with the 12 string. I saw Roger Hodgson (of supertramp) in concert once and he played that song twice! 🤘😎🎸

That Rickenbacker is beautiful, it's always been my dad's dream to play on one day
Is there really a Greatest 12 string riff or riffs ??
Also, if Hope is your fav 12 string song I think you'll really appreciate this A TRIBUTE TO NEIL PEART ruclips.net/video/wfZF8Gex1SE/видео.html. My live covers of Whipping Post and Strawberry Fields are probably my two strongest live performances on the channel. Check them out here, got to story select and start from the beginning. You give very good analysis of songs and teaching. Keep up the good work ! I do have more watching to do of your videos. I need to take a weekend and just binge watch them. Thank you Mark !! You likewise have a great weekend !!!
Thanks!! All sound Great!!
Excellent Mark!
Hey Andy. Thanks so much checking it out. I appreciate the kind words. I was hoping this one was going to pop but I'll have to be patient. I'm learning...but slowly. Have a great week! -Mark
Do you prefer the Harley Benton over the Rickenbacker? Seems like you reached for that one more often.
That’s the Way was identical to the studio recording! Was hoping to hear some English Settlement-era XTC songs. An excellent video!
Thanks so much for this comment. I just did a best of the 70s on the 12 TOP 10 12 STRING SONGS OF THE 1970S! ruclips.net/video/Zq2m9uAHXTc/видео.html and I'm trying to flesh out my 80s one. Great call with XTC! I really appreciate it. Have a great evening and take care. -Mark
LOVE that Under the Milky Way and I Stay Away made this list. They are awesome outliers I think.
Thanks Dave. This one came out great. A lot of people have been pleasantly surprised that I included the Church song.
Very impressive video. I love it!
Hey Bill. Thanks so much. One of the best comments I've ever received was from a guy who watched this video and wrote something like 'anytime your wife/significant other bitches about you owning too many guitar, have her watch this video'. I'm still chuckling. I pointed out that I don't currently own 10 12 string guitars but then I realized that I do own 5 and I'm borrowing 2 more so I guess it's still in the realm of absurd. LOL. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. -Mark
@@8MinuteAxe Thanks Mark, I wish I had more time to dedicate to my 12 String. Here is what I did this weekend, I just published this long distance collaboration this morning! ruclips.net/video/PUURsUSJ5PI/видео.html
I love the 12 string.
I had an acoustic one about 40 years ago, but had to sell it when I had to move.
Hey again Z. I've really grown to love the acoustic 12. I'm still trying to fully embrace the electric 12 and expand on Byrds and Beatles riffs. I really appreciate you following up and checking out the video. Please have a great evening, be safe, and take care. -Mark
@@8MinuteAxe 😀❤
5:44 - Mark, you are the ONLY player I have ever seen (not including TS) who actually plays the open G string properly! Wow. btw I've heard the original guitar tracks and you are playing the electric guitar lines that are picked down. The 12-string picks up from the C/G with the 1st and 2nd strings fretted at the G fret. Very nice playing on everything man.
Soooo good! Thanks!✌️🌞😎🎸
Hey Prince Michael. Thanks so much for checking it out. I have lots of cool covers too LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS COVER AND LESSON ruclips.net/video/vZdVOj1wSr8/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. I really appreciate your time. Have a great evening and take care. -Mark
Mark
Great stuff but you gotta add Hotel California. Thanks for the great list though.
Hey Darwin. Thanks for checking it out. If you follow my channel you'll know that I have a running feud going with Don Henley. Now that my channel has grown I can't play it anymore. I tried to play it slowed down for this one and the video was blocked so I had to take it down. Check out the first 2:30 of this video. I guarantee you'll be rolling on the floor laughing DON HENLEY VS RICK BEATO: BLOCKERS AND THE FAIR USE BATTLE ruclips.net/video/wqyHrEkk064/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Listening to you play always brightens up my day. Love that 12 string. ❤🎸😇
Thais Chanel deserves way more subs
Hey GG. I really appreciate that. I am so grateful for the subs I have. I have a great core viewership that's amazingly supportive. I'm almost 20k strong and I'm still answering every comment and every email manually. Have you seen any of my Beatles covers. This one was particularly good. I worked really hard on the video LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS COVER AND LESSON ruclips.net/video/vZdVOj1wSr8/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Thanks again for the kind words. Hey again. New video is up when you have time. It's slow out of the gate so please give it some love. LOL ruclips.net/video/-MCIWxjVYUk/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Have a great weekend. -Mark
Absolutely perfect playing as always!!
Well, not quite perfect… “More Than a Feeling” wasn’t quite right
What was the most difficult of these riffs to learn?
Hey Steve. Believe it or not the only one I had any trouble with was the Waiting and playing Dead or Alive the exact way, with the slide downs. The Waiting is simple but the overtones don't ring out well so it's all about control. My new one is up when you have time ruclips.net/video/-MCIWxjVYUk/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. I really appreciate the support. Have a great weekend. -Mark
John Denver Rocky Mtn High.
Hey Larry. That one is on the master list and definitely deserves consideration for the top 20 list. That's been a staple of my acoustic shows for a few years now. Thanks so much for your time and comment and for checking out the video. did you see my 12 string cover of
LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS COVER AND LESSON ruclips.net/video/vZdVOj1wSr8/видео.html&ab_channel=8MinuteAxe. Great video for that one too. Let me know what you think. Have a great evening and take care. -Mark
Great riff list Mark, that was awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥

-Mark
Great playing !
Thank you Mark. The first time I heard 'Turn, Turn, Turn' in the 60's I was hooked on the Rickenbacker 12 string sound.
-Mark
Informative and Entertaining, Mark! I did not know Jimmy Page played had used a 12 on so many songs. The chronological order was a nice touch.
Cool!
-Mark
Excelente vídeo parabéns 👏👏
First, you can't please everyone. My favorites were the ones up to and including Pleasant Valley Sunday and Free Falling. Thanks for sharing.
-Mark
