Personally i think KC bringing back age statements across the board AND their introduction of the "findable" KC12 are two of the best things to happen to bourbon, in general, in the last couple years. The age of bourbon IS an important variable in its flavor...it used to be as common as it is on scotch...not so any more. I love the KC is bringing it back. As for KC12....its a top 5 for me right now and very very very much one of the reasons im content not hunting much these days as the allocated market has just gotten bananas crazy. Around these parts KC12 isnt always on the shelf BUT it does show up regularly enough that i consider it findable. And thats just dandy for me!

When this bottle first came out last year it was priced between $46-$50. Within a month and half it was $60 plus. I really like it and glad I grabbed several bottles early cause I don’t think I will buy it now at $60+.
KC 12 is a bottle that I really enjoy. I'm forcing myself to stay away from it because it goes so fast when it hits the shelves here in VA. I hope to get my hands on the KC 15 one day. Cheers Matt!!!

Ok love the taste of this bottle. But Jim Beam has to do something about the cork! Not only is the wax troublesome but halfway into the bottle i broke the plastic cap off the cork! I needed pliers to get the cork out! Oh and not long after buying my first bottle for $57 i found a backup for $60.
Had a bit o regular Knob Creek 100P 9 Yr during this one. Its a nice little cousin for some budgety similarity. Granted I also had a bit of Buffalo Trace, Old Forester 100, Wild Turkey 101 and Evan Williams BIB, but that's neither here nor there. What can I say 100P is my wheel house.
I think knobs creek 12 is good but I still find it off putting at end with a robitussin like cherry favor that just turns it off for me… but that’s my palate….
Also I cant wait til your blend is brought to market I'll be buying one good sir! Your palate is elite, mine is as well...if u are the President Of The Elite Palate Club I'm definitely a member. Love ADHD Whiskey, entertainment.

Can not get into KC. Any one I've ever had has a dusty corn taste that coats the entire mouth. 100, 120 proof 9yr doesn't seem to matter. Being cheap, I can't drain pour it so I ice it down to about 30 proof just to get rid of it. Strange because I wanna like it.
Unpopular opinion: I like the regular 9 yr 100 proof Knob Creek a lot for a daily drinker, but to my surprise the SB Reserve 120 proof and the 12 year were meh for me. I’d pony up another $20-$30 for a Booker’s any day.
Local store still has a bunch of the 12yr Cask Strength on the shelf. I have one, it's tasty. It wasn't cheap.... Since I already have the CS, is it worth getting the 100 proof?

I've got this, and I think it's...okay. I have several KC SBs, two are 9 years, and one is nearly 15. The 15 yr is definitely the best of the lot. Proof points aside, I like this better than one of the 9 yr SBs, and less than one. But I don;t think it's worth the price. Consider that it is $10-$30 more than Rare Breed, 1910, 1920, Jack Daniels SB, Jack Daniels SB BP, Belle Meade Reserve, etc....Almost all of which I like better than this.

Knob Creek delivers over and over and over again. KC12 is some of their best work.
