Thanks for watching!
1:12:48 That thud sound! I actually felt that in my own head. 🤣
The amount of failures during the build made me laugh. Thank you sir, you are one of us. Keep up the great work.
Wow. Insanely big boxes.
I can't imagine the level of frustration and disappointment getting 9 days through a 12 day print for it to fail. I think I would prefer several k1 max or something so you don't lose several kg of filament for a single failure
But if you use a 2mm nozzle it wont take days then its Like a normal print in a small printers with 0,2-0,4 nozzle
With such printers you wont print with small nozzles
But 3mm Filament and Bigger heating blocks would be normal for me if i would designe a printer size like this ... this is really bad Standard
I'd love to see one of the 3D printable city maps scaled up to fit the entire print bed. I think it would look pretty cool.
Some of the design of this is dumb, who wants to be bending down for the usb ports, the power switch and the cable for the tablet? Those should all be somewhere on the upper gantry, it's like ergonomics weren't even a thought, let alone an afterthought...
Waiting for when uncle Jessy either spaceballs a magneto helmet or scales up optimus even more
35:53 calling me out having my printer in the dining room bartop counter 😂
this is late for the live stream, but if you are watching the RUclips instructions I suggest changing the playback speed (based on the numerous remarks about how "fast" they are given)
Nothing to do with the video, but have you tried using PVC pipe glue to glue together PLA parts I have it works really well
You want to use clamps
How strong is bond?
I would say it’s pretty strong I couldn’t pry the parts apart and I was using a player you’d have to do test yourself though to get an accurate estimate
@@crystalmiller9530 tnx, will try and test, maybe it's better (stronger) than regular superglue.
One of the those boxes is around the size of the box that my E-bike came in and it was mostly assembled!
Another one bites the dust lol 1 for 1 with joel
I want one of these but at what point would it just be better to build my own
great content jesse!
I hadn't put together an Elegoo fdm printer since the Neptune 2, so when you start complaining that the instructions don't stay on the screen long enough, I'm over here like "They still haven't fixed that!"
Nice to know that despite the crazy rate of advancement in 3d printing, some of the same annoyances persist. 😬
This is the design that would benefit from an ams like the bambu. So you can run 4-16 of the same filament and never have to babysit it.
I wouldn't suggest Linus' screwdriver. It's neat and the storage capability/ratcheting mechanism is neat, but I've found MUCH more use out of iFixIt's Manta screwdriver set. So many sizes and wild screwdriver types means I got them all in that place and it's a pretty high quality screwdriver even for being non-ratcheting.
I really would like to see what is possible with this kind of bed config. My guess is that since they use cheap and loose tolerance beds and then join them, so getting a flat bed is going to be hard. Prusa has multi section bed, but few people with design interest have really looked into their designs like that, all I know is that they seemingly got it to work, just not what it took. I am personally really concerned about them 4 PEIs on this one, as I expect that to be very visible in the prints. Especially those I make.
Also, at this size, thermal expansion of that bed, sort of start to become a real issue. It is the same expansion, even if using 4 print plates. Not sure how they deal with that.
can't wait to get mine! I have quite a bit of work scheduled for it (HVAC stuff).
Kinda wishing i would've bought 2 from kickstarter
Tronxy also makes huge printers, and they will custom built to your spec too.
What do you plan to use it for?
So, here is my suggestion.. Toymaker3D Atomic Dragon scale him up for that. n As you have an affinity for armor and models it should be very interesting. IF I had that printer Id do it, but too costly for my blood heard good things of Elegoo but not gotten one. But that screams full armor or lifesize models.
also.. amazon has the small electric screw drivers that use usb c to charge, have all bits for just like $15. Theyre op
this needs to come with beacon or an ir probe
Would be nice. But honestly the basic mesh is probably enough once you get the bed leveled. With a bed this big there's no way there won't be warp, and likewise you shouldn't have to do the manual part again unless you disassemble and/or move it.
This is tempting for my needs but given the nightmare, pos, my Neptune 4 Max was I'm hesitant to ever buy another Elegoo printer.
Anyone know the max temp of the extruder? Will this print CF materials?
What a "Monster"...... 😀
That is a VERY bad spot for a usb stick to plug in. I can absolutely see that getting kicked or bumped into and pulling the port off the board. I would much rather see an extension be run up the frame or a port on the screen instead.
price?
Things amazing
Are they Nema 23?
WOW
If i was you i would get a usb extension and sip tie it to the front top any were convenient to you.
Manual should have: for your security wear Helmet!!!!😅
how much?? jajaja
haha i thought my qidi x max 3 was big
Imagine a resin printer that big
Wont Work cause of suction maybe with laser
I wonder if the firmware is as crap as the N4’s. I’m sure the one they sent you isn’t
hey Uncle Jessy you should had added wheels on that huge 3D Printer so you can mover around it very nice setup loved it,
I hope they add something like KAMP so you only probe the section of the bed needed. I also found it's best to heat the beds for a while before doing the bed mesh it will change from testing when cold.
You Print with this printer small benchys? .. such a printer needs 3mm Filament and 2-4mm nozzles
Giant basketball
Everything I see about this printer makes me more sceptical.
Where do you put the micro SD card? lol
this needs a beacon very much:P
ahh, you didn't let it destroy itself like Joel's stream. lol
Did you order some new TVs? Wtf?
Print something different. Print a case that will incorporate the PS3,PS4,PS5 into 1 whole Console, and they all work.
Even with the live video of another channel ('3D Printing Nerd'), He was unable to print due to a problem at the end. It seems like there is some kind of structural problem.
now i wont be upset when i receive mine later than expected due to bug fixes.
Orange Storm 2024
What does he have at his eye? What white dirt?
No, it's a white streak of hair, so his eyelashes have a white streak. Personally, I think it gives him character and looks cool.
LOL! You convinced me I'm too old and not fit enough to assemble one of these beasts....alone.
I can see this up on a platform, with wheels, about 12-20 inches off the floor.
When are you going to finish that giant magneto statue?
Now I can just print my own car parts in one shot.
I’m sorry but;
Why aren’t people getting bored with yet another unboxing of a sponsored printer?
It’s a cheap commercial for elegoo this way
Boring
