There's always a first I had never seen a hair jig for Bass fishing being tied, you sold me 👍
Try a UV resin to finish the head on your jig and hit it with a black light. J Stockard Fly Fishing sells Loon Outdoors UV resin. It dries quicker and harder than superglue and looks much more professional.
Looks like a great bucktail for giant stripers on BUGGS island or any other big striper reservoir. Waiting on next video for the “How to”
Great content as always. They continue to prove themselves!
Thank you so much. I want to give y'all so much more but I've been slammed with guide trips. As soon as it slows down I plan on making major improvements to the channel. I really appreciate your continued support.
U actually can fish the hair jigs in Central Florida, also thought that was a northern thing, I need to learn where to fish them....
Fish them on she'll bars. I'll be posting a hair jig video shortly. In the mean time check out Mikey ballz or jt Kenny they have Florida hair jig videos. Check out Jordan lees heavy hitter event on toho some of his biggest fish came on a preacher jig.
Very cool! I was up your way this past week. Hit up the Bass Pro on I Drive while I was there. Found out your their guide. Couldn't fish though. My daughter had a dance competition at the OC Convention Center all week. Next time I'm up there hopefully we can meet up.
Brother there is some insane ponds by the convention center. I'm talking monster bass. Should have hit me up. I could have done a little pond hopping with you.
@@GinoLosi I saw a bunch of them around there. Unfortunately I had no time. She was dancing almost every hour. It was exhausting. 😂
Hey Gino loved the video
Thanks! Can't wait to get back after it with Noah.
I’m noah
@@MrsTGentry1 😂 what's up Noah?
Hey
Thanks for your sharing, could you post the link to buy the jig head?
Great stuff Capt!! The purists would hang me for this but I just simply use some shrink tube, insert my feathers or whatever and I'm done!! I even tie them on the boat in choppy seas in under 2 minutes..just. Saying, it works in a pinch, tight lines 🤙
I'll have to give it a whirl. Thanks for the tip.
Great video as always!!!
That looks awesome!!! Where did you pick up the materials? Was it a kit ? Would love to try that ( but you made it look EZ!!! ) probably take me a lifetime to get it looking mint like that one you made !!!! Lol
Ebay. It's not hard. I'll post the links when I get off of the water.
Take your time no worries they look awesome!!! Thank you
Thanks for the video! What’s your feathered jig setup?
Also which chatter bait size do you recommend 3/8oz or 1/2oz?
I use 7'4" med/ moderate. 12lbs test and 6:2.1 gear ratio.
1/2 oz chatterbait unless the grass is almost topped out then I go 3/8.
What do I need to get started in making these preacher jigs
I’m looking to learn how to do this I’m collecting deer tails right now
What vise are you using? I have a fly tying vise and I can barley hold a jig hook.
Capt. I'am just beginner where you buy your materials. John B.
Where did you get those jig heads and what size hook do they have? Thanks for the video
1/2 oz 4/0 and I got them from Owens bait and tackle.
Your welcome
What type feathers do you use?
🔥🔥🔥
Like what’s the basic tools I need
Vice, probably doesn't need to be a good one if this is the only stuff you're going to do with it. Thread, go heavy veevus 140 power thread or gsp 100. Scissors, super glue and a bobbin to hold the thread. The tail is strung saddle hackle. Can get that in any color as well as the bucktail. Any more questions fire me a dm
Bad Ass
Thanks brother
Can’t see or tell what you’re doing. You could be explaining as you go.
I’m not criticizing I’m just saying.
