AFK Gone Balls is the new version of our original AFK build "AFK Gone Cheap" designed by ChrispieD. It utilizes the same cast on ignite concept for AFKing both Minotaur and Phoenix Guardians. The difference from earlier versions is that this build uses a new clearing setup with magma orb, with both insane clear speed and decent single target damage.

ABOUT 3.1: Everyone wondering about 3.1 updates for this build I refer to the forum post as ChrispieD posts all recent updates there!

Some clarification:
"AFK Gone Balls" is an AFK build at its core with a new clearing setup with magma orb, which we wanted to showcase in this video.
The reason we did not include any AFK footage (besides the gorge goat) in this montage is because we've already featured plenty of AFK footage in our previous montages and nothing has changed in 3.0!
The Berserker ascendancy, all core items (essence of hysteria, eye of innocence and razor of the seventh sun) and the cwdt setups have not been changed in any way in 3.0. In other words, everything you could AFK in 2.6, you can AFK in 3.0, including the Minotaur and Phoenix Guardian!

Been perfecting this Build for about a Month now. Rolls just about any content. I did make a few changes though. For mapping I have found that the Onslaught Gem kinda works better than Faster projectiles( the ARC+speed of the magma orb can miss some enemies running up on you and prove to be fatal.) for really high damage maps Ill roll with slower projectiles and whirling blade right ontop of them prior to casting. I also found that it you can substitute Resist on jewels and pick up deaths door You really really boost your survivability(at the loss of some cast speed ofc). I picked up the 16% cast if killed uber enchant also. Working on trying to fit a red nightmare in the skill tree somewhere to utilize the the max endurance charges from the deaths door and benefit from spell block. the only thing thats cancer about this build is the hysteria essence crafting.
GOD! i love this build sooooo much!!! this is a master piece, i change few thing like vortex lv20 in doryani's and i prefer with arctic armour, level faster 90 to 95 in 3 days.

Hello, in your guide you said the magma orb can have +1 chain time, that's provide from helmet enchant or when we corrupt the gem ?
+Laurent Wiesner You need get lucky and corrupt a Lvl 20 magma orb to Lvl 21, that will give you +1 chain. The helmet enchant will give you +2 chain.

Chilifreak, on your forum you have the sword jem setup as whirling blades arctic armor and fortify, but on this vid you have whirling blades faster attacks and fortify?

This was my ultimate best build out of all 20+ characters i played and vaal pact nerf came
Testing this build on my old 90 lvl zerk with nerfed vaal pact, it feels a little off indeed but still playable, just its more dangerous now.. and i think maybe its worth getting increased life leech per second nodes would help a little, not sure.

What would be the ideal 5L setup til I can get a 6l? Tabula won't cut it later on.
Just skip fire penetration, will make bosses and particular rares harder to kill, but overall the clearing should be smooth. Remember that you don't need to get a 6L Belly of The beast if its too expensive atm. You can also get an ordinary 6L white chestplate that you craft with deafening essence of greed.

+Kidneyfeef the bandit rewards have been nerfed af in 3.0. I don't think there's much to gain from then anymore.
Killing all is what you should do.

Mokou's is best in slot, Taming is not a good alternative.

Why no mention about essence for molten bursts on the sceptre?
Due to the heavy ignite nerfs, the fire burst on hit is no longer effective as a clearing setup. This is the role that the magma orbs are taking over.
I see in the Minotaur fight you use shock nova. When should we be using this and would vortex be better?
Most likely ChrispieD switched out his arc in sceptre for lvl 20 magma orb as his big hit protector. Arc is much more reliable as a high leech spell when facing multiple targets but will not be as usable in a boss battle. This forced him to switch out the lvl 11 magma orb in helmet with shock nova to avoid putting the high lvl magma orb on cooldown.

That is not a good idea, razor of the seventh sun is part of the core build, this is what gives us 1% of our max life every time we ignite an enemy. Without, it's not an AFK build.
Hi man, I love the absolute chaotic CwDT set up. However, The Green Dream Viridian Jewel currently is not cheap at all in Harbinger league. Is that a mandatory item?

Gz mate! What only intrigues me is the theoretical cost of this new build? And obviously maps with "can not leech" are RIP. Peace.
The cost of this build remains cheap. If you look at the quick guide all the mandatory items are very cheap (might go up in price slitghtly due to the release of this video) compared to other 3.0 builds. However, if you add all the potential upgrades the price goes up, you decide how much you want to invest in the build, but it is definitely a great starter build!
Made a new char and following this I don't think this builds very popular, tried to see if anyone else was doing something similar I can't find it. In harbinger league

Often you level with a different skill-gem and change your setup later. In the Comments here on yt. someone asked the same question and got a few good recommendations.
But I have to say, for a first time player and League starter this build might not be the best. You will have no currency to buy the requiered gear, so you would have to farm some till you can do the transition to this build.

Lvl 1 CWDT can proc all gems with a required lvl of 38 or lower, which means that some gems that are usable from the beginning of the game (like magma orb) can be lvl 11 (as long as the required lvl isn't above 38 it can still be procced via lvl 1 CWDT).
The build can obviously sustain a lot of damage since it's an AFK build. However, the leveling in HC might be the difficult part, you can check out the forum post and see if anyone has any helpful tips maybe...

Freaking love this mega man remix. Just started this build, I'm around lvl 38 been doing sunder. It's good even though we have no damage nodes to back it up. Tried going balls with the two jewels but you have to keep chugging a mana pot and it sucks ass. If I didn't have to do that, it would be melting everything on screen as it's already so powerful at this lvl. Still debating just grabbing unique 2handers and going sunder all the way or going warchief but shit is so damn slow. Drop a totem, wait half an hour, then they start attacking...meh. Thief's Torment is great for attack based builds as you get hp and mana back on hit, but sadly spells aren't a 'hit' so it wont work. Anything out there that is similar to on hit or gives mana leech? The 'mana on kill' is bs as you have to spam and won't be useful on bosses.
+Chris Kozma If you have done normal labyrinth you can allocate pain reaver, which gives you 1% mana and life leech.

Due to the Vaal Pact nerf in 3.1 "AFK Gone Balls" won't be playable in 3.1 (as an AFK build). We are currently testing the capabilities of another build that utilizes the same concept like "AFK Gone Cheap", but were not sure how well this build can AFK content yet so I don't want to give you any promises.
Whatever we produce will be published in another build montage in the future. For now, enjoy Abyss League! :)

just level as a melee marauder, using leveling uniques, and respect at w/e u can equip your core items
I leveled with Firestorm until I opened my first jewel slot and put my first Inevitability. Once there I went magma orb all the way.
What is often advised:
SPELL: Firestorm
Or
Totem with facebreaker and stuff "Adds Physical damage"
My personal preference would be sunder-LMP-Faster Attack with Brightbeak. Alira Buff is so useful for leveling :)

You are using Inevitability jewels in the vid, tho do not have a single jewel socket viable for them in your tree:/
That is actually not correct. The two jewel slots with the highest position in the tree both fulfill the necessary requirements for Inevitability jewels. If intelligence nodes had to be allocated it would be a different story, but thanks to the threshold jewel changes we now only require the 40 intelligence points inside the radius, it is counted regardless if it's allocated or not.

He explained that it totally works for AFK, just the footage used active skills for quicker kills. If you want to see AFK video watch one of the older videos. Nothing has changed.

Read the explantion. It specifically works away from keyboard. The video just actively cast to kill things faster.

The 10% chance to cast level 20 fire burst on hit comes from essence of hysteria which was used in the 2.6 version of the build but due to the ignite nerf it's no longer necessary. As stated in the video a rare sceptre (doesn't have to be opal, but preferably high lvl) with spell damage, fire damage and cast speed is enough.
