been a supporter of Poe sense beta and I 2 agree that it never worth to burn your chance orbs as the return does not pay for more then when you trade them for. dont get me wrong. I love poe in the sense them ggg has made many good changes to the game along with it being free. The game gets content more often the most mmo now which is sad on the mmo part! just a few problems tho. for example, Immunities in current poe is not a great mechanics for bosses does not make them any harder it just blocks builds for killing such bosses. but I feel that ggg tries to do a good job and listen to the community and will try to fix such problems
You're either extremely slow at farming, didn't play enough or just plain lying. I got 3 skyforts since I started chancing for them about 1 year ago. I consider myself lucky, but I have wasted tons of chance orbs in other items as well and it's impossible for you to get nothing after using ~5k orbs, which is not that much if you said you play since closed beta.

Hey lifting this is a random thing but I found a unique map that is worth a few jewellers or at least 1C or an alch. it's called Whakawairua Tuahu Strand Map and I was wondering if you would do a video on the kind of loot from it. Or just main currency gains. I think it might have potential.
I wish they would make some kind of option to see which items can pe chanced into uniques when they are on the ground like they did for number of sockets

I would add bereks respite to this list of league specifics. It is decently valuable for a cool build enabling unique and chancing rings has decent odds of generating rares you can sell.
Can you tell me what build this is you're running in the video? Im leveling an ailment based bow scion and Im having trouble deciding what path to take, and wanted to make sure I was on the right track since it seems like it could be comparable to what you have.
How do you get the colored background for the different items? For example, I think Rares have a green background.

Personally I wouldn't go chancing uniques that aren't worth lots of exalts. The only unique I am chancing for is Skyforth.
With the odds of chancing a unique being in the thousands, it is on average just not worth it chancing for "low value" items. If you average cost for chancing a unique is around 3-5 exalts, I'd rather save up those chance orbs for chancing Skyforth, or sell them and buy the uniques I want.
especially when the odds of successful chancing don't actually scale with how expensive the unique is.
except it does scale with how rare the item is :P if you yourself have ever tried to chance a HH you would know that you get something like Wurm's molt every now and again because it's not very rare.
dreadstream That is not entirely the reason, though. When you cance a leather belt you have a certain chance of getting a unique. If that happens the game then chooses which unique it is based on rarity if there are multiple to the base. If there is only one unique to a base type and you successfully chance unique, you will get it.
this is not how it works at all. When you chance an item (or an item drops) a roll is made for the rarity tier of the item. those tiers are normal, magic, rare and some unknown number of unique tiers. For the sake of argument lets say there are 3 tiers U1, U2 and U3. suppose wurms molt is U3 and headhunter is U1. if you roll U1 you get one of the uniques on that tier, in this case headhunter. if you roll U2, in this case it defaults to a rare item, as there is no unique on this tier. If you roll U3 you would get the molt. This system is used because it means the chance of getting uniques is independant of the existance of more common uniques, and rarity bonuses can actually affect the rarity of the uniques you get.

just wanted to point out that the comparison of cospri's malice to mjolner was great except that it neglected to point out that mjolner casts a socketed lightning spell on melee HIT, while cospri's malice is on melee CRIT. A slight, but significant (since it allows RT to avoid worrying about accuracy) difference.

Or are they all the same level? Like there's no sorcerer boots thats level 30 and one thats level 60?

can we chance headhunter if we roll nemesis affix on the map or does it only work when we select nemesis mod on the map device? oh and does the map need to have zana's name on it?

no what this means is you run a map and pay 4 chaos or whatever it is to apply nemesis from zanas map device. This requires a certain level with zana. like 7 or something?
***** The Nemesis Zana mod isn't in the game anymore. It was during the prophecy league, and needed Zana to be lvl 8.

a bit late on the league as the list changes every league. and, btw at standard leagues we still using Exalted to trade, because ex still a healhty price of 1:70 atm

Isnt Shaq'One's Rapping mods a bit reductant for chars that start near the CI node? If you use the body armor for the mod, then you miss on the %more ES nodes that become available after the CI node.
Khajiit Hadwares CI sets your health to 1, so it makes it so you can't do blood magic meaning you can't do as many auras. Aurabots definitely don't want CI, but do want shav's
My mistake, I thought Shav Ronnie Wrappers grants CI, not half of it (the benefit) Hybrid Life/ES vs Pure ES? ES rech/regen?
The wrappings only grant 448 ES while some rares go up to 900 to 1300 ES, which is multiplier by the 15% more ES node missing if you dont take CI.
Which is great if you don't use Blood Magic. CI makes it so you cannot use Blood Magic. Low-Life builds and Aurabots typically want to use Blood magic. Blood magic allows some Aurabot builds to run 12 auras (they then focus on ES as their primary "life")

Xeverous best way to get a cheap voll's protector. Chancing it is pretty common too.
The end result of a Chance Orb, regardless of how many people you trade it with for different currency, is to be consumed chancing on an item, so either argument of spending vs trading them is invalid anyway.

zana quest in a map then get a nemesis map mod, so the headhunter can never be targeted to farm ? that why its so expensive ?

There are also two(3) cards that provide the headhunter belt. One being The Doctor and the other The fiend (gives a corrupted Headhunter). The 3rd option is the Jack in the Box card, but that can produce any unique in the game.
There is Void too, but that's nothing. (my friend got a shavs from it...)

I know its hard to listen and all but he mentioned that you need to use Zana's map device for a chance at Headhunter. They rotate the map mods every league.

It can, when you get into an area which has the Nemesis mod. Not available in 3.1, but is not unlikely to be in some future leagues.

I think these are somewhat misleading, all you are linking are expensive uniques, without known percentages to chance them its not wise to use chance orbs on them on mass. You may end up wasting far more currency than item's worth.
That's the very nature of gambling and these chance orbs. No one knows the percentages. It is up to oneself to deem whether or not it is worth the "chance".
LiftingNerd Gaming I'm pretty sure with enough research a semi-accurate spreadsheet for chancing uniques can be made. There has to be people around who recorded their experiences chasing such uniques. I know i saw some of them. It is a huge difference wheter a certain unique can be chanced within a couple hundred orbs, or several thousand or even beyond that. Without having any idea or giving any statistical information, entirety of the video can be explained via explaining how chance orb works. Making an item list imo is redundant.
Not enough information on some items. Count how many Headhunters were chanced. You can't call that statistic "accurate", because the sample size is too small, making the estimated chance to get HH by throwing a chance orb on a leather belt highly inaccurate.
Mark Paskanny would still be better than nothing. Besides im pretty sure items such as headhunter would be amongst the top in terms of sample size. If you were chancing such an item its highly likely that you would've count the orbs you've spent.
dandini0698 Better than nothing? That will be a misleading info. And I doubt it's a top chanced item, since it requires a league Zana mod (Nemesis), which isn't available this league. Last league, if I recall correctly, you needed level 8 Zana to apply Nemesis mod on a map.

I personally don't think its worth Chancing for any item that is worth more Chaos than you can physically hold in one inventory. Infact I wish the community of PoE had been smart and never decided items could be worth 999,999,999 chaos to begin with, but what are you going to do...
Seriously though, what are you actually going to do with 2.5k Chaos other than spend it on another 2.5k item that is only priced that high because the item you just sold was sold for 2.5k? Its not like anyone out there is actually using Chaos for the effect it has on items.
I mean sure, if you bought a ton of extra stash tabs and can physically hold that much currency, go ahead. But if you don't have the extra space what is the point in getting that much currency if you are going to have to immediately get rid of something that you might want to keep?
or you simply have a currency tab (like literally every single player that is any active) and can stack up 30000 chaos/divine/exalt/mirrors/whatever in a single tab :)
By inventory I was talking about the bag space on your character, not bank space.. And I know plenty of players who are very active that down own a currency tab so that really isn't helpful at all.
Luís F That honestly surprises me. Mostly because I know people who do trading like that and they almost never use Chaos's or Exalt's. Maybe one or two here but mostly they grab them for currency reasons.
If you have ever played Realm of The Mad God its a lot like the currency in that game. After a certain point you no longer need to use it for its original purpose and you just use it for trading and trading alone.

dude, if they dont use chaos - they are idiots! and they are nowhere real "endgame" players like you said before (when talking about knowing many players dont having that tab..)
why? because of zana and maprolling! you always need plenty chaos to roll maps decent (who the fk would run a 60/30/0 T16???) and you have to use your 3-4-5 chaos extra per map (back in days IT TOOK 1 EXALT TO NEMESIS-MOD!) to use a leaguemod - mostly beyond/nemesis/anarchy/perandus since they add a lot to your high-maps and you simply have to do so to max your exp and/or loot...
it seems like you talk about players that simply reach merciless and do their t5'ish maps.. sorry but, why would they need much space? they wont get too much currency without being insane lucky
