In 2015, after Total War: Warhammer was announced but before it released, Creative Assembly announced that they planned to create a trilogy of Total War: Warhammer games.[1]
In 2016, Russian data-miners discovered plans in the Total War: Warhammer game files for a third game featuring Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh as factions.

Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly's grand strategy Total War series. I was kinda surprised that Emmanuelle did not come ingame in Thrones of Decay at all while the faction name is done by her
I know she can't fight at all so she won't be a LL or LH but I genuinely thought she'll be in cutscenes or event pictures

I didn't know anything about the warhammer universe before playing total war 3 execpt maybe the chaos god and that 40k is a weird medieval scifi hybrid.

There's a great moment in the Warhammer TTRPG where Karl Franz is ill and a body double is pretending to be him.
She goes right up to the double engages him in polite conversation and then asks "Oh one last question. Where's Karl?"
She then points out that she grew up with the Emperor and knows him better than almost anyone so the body double thing was never going to cut it with her.
She's vain, self obsessed, petty, vindictive and egotistical but she's not an idiot.

Theres a sequence in the Malus series where Har Ganeth needs a new head-of-religious affairs (the affairs being murder) and he appoints a lady that stabbed him in the back to save her skin, as she is 'the only one in this accursed city whose motivations I can understand'. Vlad is Karl's version of that at this point

Only thing keeping Emmanuelle alive is Karl making sure she doesn’t do anything absolutely crazy. Why, is explained by the fact they are childhood friends. It also explains where Karl got his talent for politics, handling her makes running an empire seem easy. (Her brother used to help.)

The HRE didn't have to deal with this particular dilemma because there were so-called imperial cities which weren't part of another state.
It usually does as its very decentralised, the Habsburgs and other such families grow terretory and Influence within the Empire by Taking Land and Titles which accumulate over time,
A their Peak the Habsburgs had Charles V be Both King of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor 2 different States.
@@darthplagueis13An Imperial Free City is always wanting to maintain its Autonomy though and can have a Huge amount of Influence on less developed areas of the Empire. (However a Free Imperial City is run by a Council not an Imperial Prince)
The Imperial Free Cities, the Imperial Princes and the Clurgy in the HRE always want their Autonomy and their plans for more power to remain in place, so an Imperial Prince or Princess complaining rulership of a failing terretory to the Emperor isn't unheard of, its also not unheard of for them to be rebellious to the Emperor.
Reminds me of when the emporor of brazil became king of portugal and declared indipendece from himself.

Funnily enough, in modern Germany Berlin is right in the center of the province called Brandenburg, however it is not part of Brandenburg nor is it it's capital. The capital of Brandenburg is a city called Potsdam which is basically next to Berlin. So Berlin is a separate state inside of another state, with it's own postal code, laws, council etc. There are even differences in education systems and more :)

Nuln is really an interesting place to be honest, once it was also the imperial capital of many emperor, and Wissenland's boarder also changed alot in the older era

In the game, many LLs are not actually rulers of the faction. For example, the High Elves actually have a Phoenix King, and none of the skaven clan's rulers (the council of 13) are actually represented in the game (like Deathmaster Sniktch is only a right hand of the actual master of the clan, Grand Nightlord Sneek, clan Pestilens is led by Arch-Plaguelord Nurglitch VII, and Clan Moulder is led by Packlord Verminkin). The reason for it is that in several factions the rulers never directly appear on the battlefield, just like in the RL.
@@tihonannenkov4114 I know but other factions don't have an elector count mechanic that lets you chose who specifically the elector count is. This allowes me to theorize that Karl had enough off these people and decided to elect the elector counts by himself!

Hot take, she’s a general who does no damage, has little to no armor, but her screaming “free Nuln” as she wildly waves her flag causes map wide fear and terror as she outcompetes the orcs and offbrand Joan of Arc for volume. Her campaign is simply burning down everything in the province until it’s just Nuln.
Edited: Her little confusion antics at the beginning makes me think she gets some Skaven animations as well.
