To those who join the game now, please give Realm of Chaos a chance: There have been many patches since release: you can prevent most rifts from spawning now and auto-intercept any army that threatens to complete the race before you, so you can play the game at your own pace. Plus the Chaos Realms mini games can be kinda amusing and the Survival Battles are really fun.
So glad they’re making sweeping changes to it. Being able to just build a security building to not have to deal with portals popping up all over the place is a godsend
Realm of Tzeench should have had AI complete it 1 turn before you with no reloads helping before the exit game part for extra pain. Has happened to me twice now.
Best is when the AI just simply teleports to the quest battle. I watched them intently, and the AI was at least 2-3 turns behind me. I went into the final location, they entered after me as well, from a location which has no access to it at all. Just straigh tup teleported there. Completely kills the strategy part in the strategy hame how the AI cheats (and how buggy the game is). Any strategy I come up with is essentially foiled by one or the other. Oh you set up and ambush at Slaneesh teleporter exit so you can defeat the AI when they teleport down so they don't overtake you with their haxed movement speed? Too bad, enjoy being stucked for 10+ turns with the demon prince up your bum. Oh, you tought you can make the AI waste time by allowing them to wander the labyrynth? What if the AI just teleported in and finished it in auto resolve?
@@Limrasson There is a method for realm of sorcerer. When you enter just make a screenshot of the map, jump throughportals, then in ms paint note where the they led you. Reload save and just follow your notes. If AI cheats, why don't we?
@@hermit9168 There is no need. It's very easy to figure out the portals, don't have to use anything else. I'm saying that I would find it enjoyable and proper for the player, especially on higher difficulties, to have a strategy when it comes to the demonic realms, aside from "do it fast". Like I skip the first portal, so I'm usually behind. I'll check the leading factions and try to knock them back one noth or two. So if, let's say, Ku'gath only needs Khorne to have 4 and I have only 2 and Khorne isn't one of them, then I'll enter KHorne because I know that Ku'gath will do so as well. Then there I kill him, so we both end up with 3 at the end of that cycle. But these elements fly out of the window if the AI just teleports to win or doesn't need to do any of the mechanics, etc.
I really hope that shit at 7:00 isn't real. That has to be a joke, I haven't reached the final battle yet and if it's literally just 40 something soul grinders... well fuck me I guess lol.
I actually kinda hoped the realm of nurgle would have been more than just attrition it should have had some random effects on your units in battle like some of them should have gotten poison damage or slower speed or regeneration etc etc just some random errors effects from the plagues or gifts of nurgle on your units
This made me laugh. At least a few things were fixed but I know I wont do a realm of chaos campaign. Probably only one full one and everything else will be IM. I like the maps though. Very well designed.
Did the Deamon Princes of the Chaos god's actually look like the ones at 3:25 for anyone? In my game they all more or less looked like the level 1 Deamon Prince you play when you start the campaign 🥲🥲
My favorite part of any campaign? When I'm midway through, surrounded by way too many enemy doomstacks and looking at the advisor like Pedro Pascal looks at Nicolas Cage. Dude chose poorly 😂

Gonna be honest with you tariff the chaos realm sucks, slamming the toilet seat on my balls hurts less then playing a realm of chaos campaign.
Pro tip the rifts open in the same spot every time, I create a small single use army at each location and destroy every rift on turn one
The rifts are why kislev hates the southlanders since they rarely close it
