    Lyrics:
I don’t want to spend the rest of my life in doubt. Don’t shake me, don’t wake me. I got a battle I aim to win now. I don’t want to fall back from bowing out. Don’t shame me, don’t take me or lock me down in the walls where I’d dissolve. Where I don’t belong. I hope you die healing the habitual way of a life in a body overthrown. I’ll always rise far beyond the chemicals run through the veins and shot to the place you’ve grown. So take your pity and go. I won’t waste my life looking back. I ain’t got the time and this ain’t the place. To count all the minutes that passed. I’ll be hanging on whether you’re still around or you’re long gone. Don’t shame me, don’t take me. Or lock me down until I’m done. Where I’d dissolve. Where I don’t belong. I hope you die healing the habitual way of a life in a body overthrown. I’ll always rise far beyond the chemicals run through the veins and shot to the place you’ve grown. I may go but it won’t mean I’ve gone. It won’t mean I’ve lost. I won’t cave. I’m wide awake. I’m not afraid, I’m wide awake. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life in doubt. Don’t shake me, don’t wake me. I got a battle to win. I hope you die healing the habitual way of a life in a body overthrown. I’ll always rise far beyond the chemicals run through the veins and shot to the place you’ve grown.

I lost my father to cancer three days ago. During these times, I used to send him a song every evening to support and cheer him up when I wasn’t with him. This is the last song I was able to send to him last Saturday. Thank you so much HWM for being some kind of rock to me. Maximum love and respect to you.

I am from Gainesville Florida the birth place of Hot Water Music. I saw them for the first time at Brick City in Gainesville and they have been a staple in my life. HWM makes truly life changing music. I was fortunate to have met most of the guys in the band at this little Mexican restaurant that I used to work at called El Toro. Very down to earth and very cool people. Gainesville in the 90s had a music scene like no other. There was always great bands and shows going on all the time back then. God do I miss those days. Chuck, Chris, Jason and George, I love you guys and love will live on as long as I am breathing. I've even passed the torch and have gotten my 14 year old listening to HWM. I'm trying to bring her up right with good taste in music. Anyway I truly hope all is well with everyone out there. Be cool, be safe and for gods sake be good to each other out there. Life is to short. I love you "ALL"!!!!!

Sumin brought me to listen to this song just now. And i just lossed my brother to cancer Sat morning. I was with him thru out his fight taking him to all his appts n treatments...this past year has been tought year of loss for myself and family with 5 losses within my family ..my dad just last nov. But anyways reading the comments i see some others experiencing loss and this song meaning something to you. Ironic i should come to this song today. Definitley gonna listen to it more. I really Love Chucks voice. I saw a shirt they posted on ig, The "healing takes some time" i think it says. I really want that shirt.
Sending healing vibes to all those who need it or going thru a tough time. 🤘🏼🎶
(Side note my brother was 6 yrs sober when he passed and it was hard time during his addiction...i am really proud he got sober, i had very hard time seeing him go thru that as well, the amount of worry and anxiety i have carried for him was heavy) i wish he didnt have to go thru so much in life and the cancer. I know he is at peace now. Miss you bro abd love you. I know you are with dad and free at last.

I'll always rise far beyond the chemicals
Run through the veins and shot to the place you've grown

I was hoping for some wailing from Mr. Wollard. But this is probably my favorite song of the cd so far.

Favorite band since 1998. Unreal that they're still outdoing themselves. Much love and respect to these men.

Thanks guys. You have a huge place in my heart. And the fact you made time for me in Auckland was so amazing. I was transfixed and I couldn’t move but you boys were such sweethearts. Thanks again. Keep going. You touch so many people.
