Hallmark has the best ornaments imo. My son is 18 now and I have bought him a hallmark ornament every year and will continue to do so. When he gets his own place, I plan to give him all his ornaments for his own tree. I also bought him Christmas pajamas and laid them out on his bed every Christmas Eve. He might be too old for that now that he is in college but I’m going to keep buying him ornaments

I am 43 years old and my mom has bought me an ornament from a Hallmark collection series since I was ONE! She still buys them for me and i now hang them on my tree at home, I have every single one of them. It's so special.

I bet you could find a unique 1st Christmas ornament at a local craft fair or Etsy. ❤️ I’ve been avoiding Hobby Lobby because I know I’m going to lose my my mind with all of the Christmas stuff. I moved into a new place that actually feels like home so I want to set my dining table with Christmas chargers, festive linen napkins with napkin rings, holiday salt and pepper shakers and who knows what else. LOL It’s gonna be ridiculous and amazing all at the same time. 😂

My grand father was a master jeweler, and was a bit of a character. Once in a while the local hospital would call and ask him to help cut off/remove rings that got stuck on people. Once he cut off the rings, often the patient would turn to him and ask how much they owed him for the removal. He’d laugh and say “I only charge to fix them, not to break them” 😂

I bought my grandson the Polar Express book for his first Xmas. It came with an awesome Ornament. We do the 4 gift idea (1 to wear, 1 to read, 1 you want and 1 you need). I get him a new book each year. So we are on book book 5 this year. I never used to be too much into Xmas. It hard more to do with the commercialism and some not so great family history. I wiped the slate clean and found a new love of the holidays. My daughter had alot if ideas if what she would do after my grandson was born. She soon realized she was too busy, too tired etc. Esp packing up the million things babies need. Thank you for sharing your life. I'm smack dab in the middle of yours and Larry's ages so I like seeing both sides and how wonderful you are together. 😍. Dinner looked amazing, I love a good surf and turf. The last fantastic one I had was in SanDiego. I'm up in Canada near Niagara Falls. The new suv looks amazing. My daughter loves her Rav4. So much easier with car seats, esp when they graduate up to the next size one.
FYI: I had my wedding ring resized. Sometimes after pregnancy, your fingers and feet will stay a larger size. I went from an 8 1/2 shoe to a 9 1/2 and my ring finger also grew. Even with losing weight neither thing got smaller haha.

My oldest little one is 7 and my youngest is 2. My husband and I have literally never gone on a date since having them. We have always taken them. We are definitely due for one. I am just such a worrier that I can’t have a good time worrying what they are doing or if they are ok. I know I am nuts. We are going to go out alone soon though. I’m so happy to see you two go on a date. It is definitely needed when you have a little one.

I changed my hair colour for every season in my late teens and early 20s (red in the autumn, brown in winter then lighter brunette/blonde for spring and summer), until I got a terrible dye job and had to grow it out. Think Anna from Frozen (red with random streaks of white...not good!!! 😓). Now the idea of having my hair only look good for a couple of weeks before roots grow in and then the added expense of keeping up with it just puts me off. So until I get grey hair, I'm happy sticking with my natural colour 😜 To each their own, honestly! 🙄
