I love 303. I use it regularly on seats and tires. I saw somewhere that a gentleman used it on his entire tires at every oil change duration. They showed the tires at 100k miles and they still had life left.
Hey I’ve gone through and refurbished all of my switches in my 1990 wagon. If you need help let me know. I used dielectric grease on the contact points within the switch to keep them nice and working properly.
Just one thing - my sunroof doesn't work. If I was in Australia would this mean failure on the inspection? And how is it with left hand cars, is it allowed in Australia?
they are mainly looking at safety items essential to the safe operation of the car. As long as the sunroof is closed at the inspection, i see no reason as to why it should matter if it cant open - because they shouldnt need to touch it. I know some countries they will inspect it, not aware of them caring here. (as long as its not jammed open or missing its linings and showing sharp metal edges) Left hand drive cars are allowed here, theres plenty of them, theres even a 500E in my city. If someone is moving to Australia they can even bring their car with them. Its not always straight forward if you already live here though, but it is possible in many cases.
A question has come back to my mind seeing this video. Did dual power mirrors (different switch -knob) become available from 1993 pre-facelift on (MOPF1), or was it already available on 1st facelift? I think I haven’t seen any
this is a job for the multimeter. You can either test the switch itself out of the car or check at the mirror itself when actioning the switch. Based on prior experience it’s almost always the switch thats died though.
Good luck mate, I always get anxious with these things, even using shops that know me well.
What a lovely cat. Surely a mascot.
looks like Sylvester... lol
recently bought a 560sel here in perth, loving all these videos
time to replace your profile photo so... lol
When’s the inspection date?
good luck wit the inspection.
Always use a bit of heat from a heat gun with dealing with old plastics.

Отлично очистился джойстик, я так тоже себе чистил его, но без снятия и разбора!
Is the the mirror switch supposed to light up?
my single mirror switch only works for the up and down directions, is this error on the switch or on the dynamo motor?

Hi, i have a Mercedes w124 200D, other external mirror are elettric or manual in your w124? I have the same button, but the other mirror Is not manual
my 1990 w124’s have electric passenger side mirror and manual driver side. Later years had electric both sides.
Good luck on the inspection. I think she's gonna pass with flying colours.
