maybe my answer is late, but I used my guitar practically clean directly to the amplifier (VOX AC30), in this case I used the signal from the amplifier to my interface(Apogee Duet) and used some plugins like compressors, coloring EQs, IR profiler, and some Reverbs from both Room and Spring. (Torpedo Wall, Arturia Spring Verb, EQ Console G4000 Plugin Alliance, etc.)
