Interesting, you mention less lift in the swells with the vee tail. One of my problems in small swells was getting sent to the moon with too much power. I got the vee stab, just waiting for the wind to show up.
Hey Dean, What is the mast position when using the PTM899, relative to the G900. While foiling, I got the impression that at higher speeds my front foot pressure really had to increase to keep the foil in the water. I do use my front footstraps, so putting my front foot further forward is difficult. Do you change the mast position when changing the foil and if yes, how? Greetings, Frans (PS: I have both foils, de 82 cm carbon mast and de 90 wingcraft V2)
Hello Frans, Yes I move the mast back 2cm when using the PTM899 (on both the 80L and 90L the back of the mast plate is at number 5.5) for the G900 and G800 I use number 7.5 in the tracks...hope this helps?
Hi Dean, today I checked and I have the same mast position for my G900 as you have: at 7.5 . But I noticed that the scale is not exactly in cm: The 20 stripes on the bottom of the board correspond to 16.4 cm. I'll keep you posted
if ur front foot pressure is increasing w speed ur stab should be shimmed . slingshot sells a shim kit for $11. as u go faster u need more fwd foot pressure so u need "less lift" shim or I believe neg. badscally u gotta tilt stab flatter or trailingvedge down. start less lift 0.5 degree shim see how that goes. go slow to fast. if u have to increase fwd foot pressure w speed then up it - 1.0 then - 1.5 back off if ever seems squirly in pitch. if u have a smaller stab u could try that too the goal is to decrease negative lift from stab.
Thank you for the feedback, I have been off the water fora while with ankle surgery and have not tested the ptm899 for wind foil yet. The G900 works very well and is pretty much the same front wing as the ptm926 which I have posted videos on if you can check out my video library...cheers
Hey Dean, thanks for Reviews!! Really great. Until now only used ptm899 with the v rear. Do you think with th ps400 I'll vet more low end power? Have also tested the g1000 vs g900? Hiw many more liw end end power do you mean has the g1000 more?
Hello, the G700 and PTM899 are two completely different foils... for my weight (188lbs) I only use the G700 in winds over 25mph and the PTM 899 I use in 12-20+. I am not a kiter so not sure how it would handle for kiting?

The PS360 V is a great addition. It allows for hard carves, keeps pitch stable and calms the over lift in swells. You’ll love it 👍
@@peaplecreative Looking forward to it! Thanks!
My go to setup 899 v tail short fuse works great all around

Thanks @@peaplecreative for your reaction. I can only test it in three weeks but i will let you know the result. Greetings from the Netherlands

Great video, have you compared these two wings on your Windfoil? Any comments?

Ptm899 + ps340 is an awesome combo for windfoiling.

Great video thanks! How is the 899 compared to the G700? Do you think you could kite on the 899?
