A totally different experience to see it in 1080p. So much detail. 360p was the only option. I just re-watched it. Nice. I'll check back to see it in 4K.
That's a good idea! I should do it soon. It will have to be carefully planned and coordinated . Different places have different hour of operation/closing days lol
Thank you so much for showing me the beauty of Ine and its funaya! Literally coast to coast of it! I’ll definitely go visit it next June. Now, I’ll have a much better idea of how to appreciate the whole of Ine; not on bike but on foot!
Ine is a lot larger than it has looked in previous videos...didn't realize it was that big. Nice place. Have any koi ponds (nishikigoi) there...or did the deer eat those too? lol
You live in such a beautiful place! Loving all the videos so far. Are the roads one way, they look so small, I would worry about meeting another car there? You should get the chap from Tokyo Llama to come and video your place!
The roads are two way lol It's very narrow and you have to cross other cars very slowly, there are only a few spots where it's impossible to cross each other and you have to backup. Maybe Llama is too big for a small guy like me lol And my house is far from finished lol
Nice drone footage! We’ll be visiting Japan in October (including stops in Ine and Hakone) and I’m trying to decide whether or not to bring my drone. I’m sensitive about not offending anyone (even though it’s a small drone DJI mini 3 pro). Any advice?
Drone is totally ok here. There are a few residents that fly them. In Japan as a whole, drones are well tolerated as long as you don't annoy anyone with them or go up to their windows and peek inside their homes lol If you come through here hit me up!
can you recommend a tour company that offers a bunch of different excursions and activities, that I can pick from? Like biking for a few days, or visiting rural onsen on another day. Instead of being with one group for the entire 14-16 days, know what I mean?
I think I know what you mean. I am not sure such tour companies exist. They tend to want to package it all in one group to maximize their profit. Why not try renting a car and touring the countryside yourself? Japan also has pretty great public transport. It's easy to get around by train and bus. Otherwise, you're kinda stuck doing what the package has planned for you without the choice of deviating from it.
Hello :) I'm the production team of the Korean travel broadcast program "Map to Go Again". It is a program that conveys the satisfaction of travel to viewers through proxy travelers. As we prepare for this episode, we would like to show you various aspects of Kyoto, Japan. I would like to introduce the video you filmed above to the viewers as a data screen on the broadcast. I'd appreciate it if you could give me permission to use your RUclips videos on the broadcast screen with the source! I would appreciate it if you could think positively. Thank you!
Good evening, thanks for taking interest in my video. You can use portions of the video no problem. As long as it’s sourced. You can email me at japanoffthepath@gmail.com if you have any questions!
It’s not really a matter of how much… people just won’t sell those, ever. They hold onto them from generation to generation. I know families that have three or four of them and no one living in them. They’ll never sell them either.
Yeah I think they are difficult to keep as the water levels are not constant, and some places I’ve heard they are grandfathered in, sounds like some jurisdictions do not want them / allow new boathouse builds.
@@user-vs3zz3zi4s That's correct. Japan does not allow this type of construction anymore for fear of tsunami's and typhoons. These are historic now so they are allowed.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to hit like if you enjoyed the video to support the channel and subscribe if ya like!
こんな素敵なところがあるんですね。知りませんでした。いつか訪れてみたい!
訪れるには素敵な場所です。 とても静か。

Thank you, enjoyed that bike tour.
Glad you enjoyed it! Sorry if you had to watch it in SD. The 4K should process soon 😅
Looking good ✨
Thanks, cheers! 😄

Definitely better in 4K! Sorry for the SD version. RUclips had trouble precessing it in 4K. Should be resolved soon.
What a lovely place.
It’s a great to visit, but most people just come for a short time. It’s too bad.
Can't wait for an Ine Food Crawl tour! 🍛

I did not know this part of Kyoto. The place looks so beautiful.
It’s a little far from the beaten path so it’s rather unknown still. No train service and limited buses going here.
Ine? Wow, you couldn't have picked a much more rural area. Looks really neat.
It’s still an active and well functioning town which is nice.
very relaxing video : -)
I’m happy you enjoyed it!

You’re welcome! They actually have free bicycle rentals now… not sure what’s required to rent them though lol have a great visit!

No koi ponds… we have bears to take care of those! It’s larger than tourist explore for sure.

My wife and I spent a few days in Ine for our honeymoon. Your video made us want to visit there again.

thanks.
It’s about 4 kilometers from start to the other side of the town!

How much are the houses on the water with the boat garage?

@@DIYJapan I was always fascinated by houses with a boathouse that you could come in and out of, such a rare thing to find, but very cool nonetheless.
It's interesting because the bay is so well protected from wave fluctuations. Even in typhoons. So, it's a unique spot.
Yeah I think they are difficult to keep as the water levels are not constant, and some places I’ve heard they are grandfathered in, sounds like some jurisdictions do not want them / allow new boathouse builds.

I can understand why they call this "Ine"
iiiiii neeeeeeee ?????
I'd like to know the history of the name too lol it's a silly name for a village. Where do you live? I live in Nice Town. lol
