Glad to find this. Wonderful tenor with a spectacular bel canto technique and of course Sills, remarkable, musically impeccable, contagious singing and you could understand EVERY SINGLE word.
So glad I discovered your RUclips channel, great stuff in multiple ways on multiple fronts. Your story had previously manifested itself while I was researching in the James Schwabacher archives. Re another Opera singer, someone wonderful but alas quite forgotten. Hope for more of yours to come & we are all looking forward to it!
Thank you for your kind words. I stayed at Schwabacher’s house for the second year that I attended the Merola program where they wanted me to train in preparation for the fall season. All best.
@@WilliamHarness-10 Hmmm... The singer I am researching is lyric soprano Dorothy Warenskjold. Did you cross paths with her perchance? She retired in 1972. However, she was a good friend of Schwabacher & reportedly sometimes stayed at his place when in town. Also, she was active in adjudicating regional/national auditions & contests in the 1970s. A distant childhood Easter memory of her (Mozart Alleluia), which I finally had time to pursue after 45 years, has turned into a major research effort for her rediscovery.
Beautiful singing!
Thank you so much. I enjoy hearing it again.
What a thrill to sing with Beverly, as wonderful as person as singer! Beautiful duet- Bravo
TRIPLE amen to that, Beverly's BEST boy.

@@DougWidney Dorothy Warenskjold was a great soprano. I had purchased a CD of DW several years ago, and it's packed with beautiful singing.
