I agree on the binding, it should be recessed. The knee block's stability also is only velcro'd in, that seems kind of fragile. Also no material on the top of the pad, above the CCM label, on the the inside that rubs against the goalie pant is going to cause wear on the pad. I also like their strapping tabs, feels more finished, premium.
I didn't have stability issues in older CCM pads that had the same style of knee block, but then again I didn't use them for THAT long so I am not sure if that ends up wearing down. I will say though, I don't think you need anything on the inside of the pad besides the nylon they have. Most of my pads have only nylon there and it has never caused issues with my pants. I suspect there will be pant colour bleed into the nylon on the pads though.
Hockey Reviews yeah I know, I was trying to come up with a design for the chance to win a set from InGoal but there’s nothing that really looks good that’s not plain white. It also doesn’t let you do anything when you use a black base
Man they look so thin! I bet they slide awesome but I just could never bring myself to wearing a pad like that with it that thin. I’m pretty traditional with my pads I like the leather straps and feeling the weight of the pads but man what an evolution honestly.
I hate how CCM uses speedskin on the entire pad. It makes the pad feel super cheap and like a street hockey pad. If they only used it on the sliding surface they would feel much better imo.
Do you wear the calf part really tight? I've literally never worn or considered CCM pads (even 20 years ago when everyone had Reebok pads, didn't wear them). Based on the Eflex shield, I'll probably not consider another ccm product although that mask looked interesting.

Think the graphic looks decent in plain white but any colours it looks awful like fleurys setup that was featured
