- CCM's all new AXIS XF is now available and it is a game changer. There are so many key features in this completely redesigned mask but the biggest is the new NEST TEC liner that provides better fit, industry leading cooling, and of course designed to give you the best protection from both shots and collisions.
Check out the full video for all the features including the new shell design, new strapping system, new backplate...and more.
We know that once a goaltender finds the right mask they are reluctant to switch - but we think the new AXIS XF will have more contemplating a switch than ever.

I have the cheapest ccm mask available and it's amazing, if I ever do get a high-level mask, this will be the move
Trust me buy the Bauer 960
That liner looks like it would trap sweat and bacteria like nobody's business.
I am guessing the liner will not be sold separately due to liability issues.
for what purpose? It definitely won't fit in any other mask. Certification is also an issue, every size with each cage combination, for example, have to be tested and certified separately.
@InGoalMedia longevity issues. I've seen the foam wear out prematurely from the super tacks player helmet.
If it's 3d printed, there will be a group of smart people. I hope, or they better sell some.
dope
Is it true cat eyes are banned in Canada?
I'm pretty sure that Cat eyes are only banned in Minor Hockey leagues and Organized leagues. If you were to play beer league with one I doubt any of the refs would say anything
Totally fine to wear in beer leagues up here…although my Bauer 960 with the cats eye cage came from the US
As others here have said they are not permitted in Hockey Canada affiliated leagues. Outside Hockey Canada individual leagues have their own policies.
Must be hard to work with that guy....
I cam here for information on the mask..instead I got 2 people interrupting eachother like a married couple
Very cool. Spoke with some CCM reps in June at a local goalie day and they mentioned the new liner would be coming. Will there be a cat's eye cage available?
There is for sure. We were at an event in Montreal with CCM and all the XF masks used in the photoshoot were Cateye and of course that would be the expectation of any pros who are using them. In fact you can see it in this: x.com/CCMHockey/status/1712833680400433440
Yeah i was going to ask about the Cat eye cage availability myself. Glad someone beat me to it.
Is the sizing similar to the older model? Like would a medium in the axis 1 be the same as a medium in the xf?
Tried it on in store mainly to test the chin cup to try to add to my current mask. The helmet was heavy but boy it fit like a glove. It was super comfortable.
Fit is key!
Heard it was heavy. More than axis.
It felt heavy at the store, noticeably more than the 960 but it was comfy.
