Me pasó lo mismo! Hoy me llego esta misma película en 4k y SÓLO LLEGA AL MENÚ, PERO DE AHÍ NO PASA😢 también tengo el 450 panasonic.
Exactly what happened to me, only disc that wont play I have contacted Panasonic who advised are looking into the issue
Twister on 4k isn’t out in the UK til October, I’ve got my order in for the steelbook collectors set. Looking forward to getting it

I have and love this player as well. Never had an issue with it. Got it 11 months ago but then Scarface froze and skipped at around the 43 minute mark. Have you tried the De Palma movie Scarface in this player.

I have a Panasonic ub820 and I imported The Abyss 4k. I was really enjoying the extended cut then near the end when Bud jumps down the cliff with little geek, the picture started to break up and stutter. It did settle down but the sound went out of sync. It did this every time i tried to watch either version in the same place. About three weeks ago I installed a new firmware that flashed up on screen. So after that I thought I would try playing that dodgy bit in The Abyss, this time it played flawlessly. So, is your firmware bang up to date? This is a very recent update and it has improved playback for me.
@garytilford6503 good suggestion it was one of first things I checked and was up to date as Twister is not officially out in uk yet a firmware update may fix it in future.
@@MovieMad1 It does sound to me like it could be a disc authoring problem but if it's playing on your Xbox maybe not, i just don't know mate.
Just a Head up but my friend had the same problem as you with Twister playing it on is Panasonic DP-UB450EB-K 4K Blu Ray player It will not play after the main menu his is a import from America as it does not come out over on 4K till the 14th October this year it is up for pre order on Amazon at the moment.

I’ve the same issue and I’ve got same player UB450, starts fine onto menu press play goes back to player menu , unbelievable was looking forward to watching it as I have Atmos set up on my Denon AVR -X2500H superb amp. So you’re not the only one mate. So I just have get a Sony player of EBay
Btw it’s to do with firmware issue did update it but made no difference, pain in the arse 😁
@mowgli9064 I have made Panasonic aware as have others so hopefully they find a solution
That's so random, I had a very similar issue a few weeks ago with the twister blu ray in my garage set up. It wouldn't play on my Sony player surround system, tried a few times and ended up playing it through my Xbox one, which worked 1st time 🤷🏻 as I say this was the original UK blu ray not the 4k release
I have the german blu ray with atmos also thats an experience. no idea why it wouldn't play.
Well tested my 4k copy on the Sony Ubp-X500 and it plays fine so would appear to be a Panasonic issue.
yep lower models only, this player has never let me down until now
Bit weird mate isn't it, i have the ub820:she a beautiful player never had a issue at all with anything i have bought usa or uk releases
I would have liked a 820 but beyond the budget at the time and until now this one has been perfect!
I'm having the same problem with my Panasonic 4K player, the disc won't play past the menu. I thought it was a problem with the disc the first time, waited over a month to get a replacement from Amazon and the new one they sent me did the same thing! Pissed me off
yep, deffinetly not disc my friend. I tried it in sony x700 worked fine also worked in xbox one s

@johnhollo6881 Ive informed panasonic apparently their engineers are working on it may be a firmware update
@@MovieMad1 yea im going to go get a LAN cable today and hook my player up to the internet and update the firmware and see it that works.

I’ve come up with a theory….Larry is a person you and Roy have made up so that when you order lots of films you blame this imaginary subscriber…don’t worry I won’t let on your secret 🤣 (actually, that’s not a bad idea…thanks guys) seriously though, that must have been frustrating for you James. Ive spoke to panasonic customer care and they apparently now have a copy of twister and have tested it on all models as a result of queries from the USA and thier tests have confirmed there are issues with models lower than the panasonic UB820, I would not have half my favourites it wasnt for Larry. he certainly knows what films i enjoy that are very different to Roys taste we cross over on a lot. Thanks Alan. im always not sure if its one L or two in your name.
