Josh grew up with his single mother and has never met his father. Ken grew up with his grandparents (both of his parent lived and worked abroad). Pablo also grew up with an absentee dad who was working abroad. It was only in recent years that SB19 have become successful that Ken's parents and Pablo's dad I think have relocated back to the Philippines. Life in the PH is difficult; many families struggle to make ends meet so much so that many parents choose to leave their children behind so they can work abroad to support their families financially, be able to feed them, and send the kids to school.
from abroad a Filipino comment, he has said. tears can be see thru microscope and it looks snowflakes, or NGEBE.. how genius the sb19 who created this song.
The scenes were taken by the boys themselves during their first US tour, WYAT. They were told to take photos with their phones that give off the vibe of loneliness. The other video they shot in San Francisco was Freedom during their second US tour, Pagtatag era.
From what I gathered, this song was inspired by OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) who have to deal with loneliness while working overseas- far away from their families for very long periods of time.
Did you know that tears actually look like snowflakes (nyebe) under the microscope? Thus, the song nyebe. Pablo really has amazing writing skills. He also produced this song together with Thyro Alfaro. ❤
This shows how great PABLO is as a songwriter. We don't have snow in the Philippines but still Pablo come up with this very heartfelt song like NYEBE ❤❤❤
ive cried so.much the first time hearing this live and sewing them.poured it out emotionally..it is both painful and therapeutic to hear from us who grew up with parents having to go work abroad and for those who has no guidance geowing up😢
Nyebe MV was shot in different cities of the US during the WYAT Concert Tour (2022) while Freedom MV was shot in SanFo during the Pagtatag World Tour (2023). Only Josh has no relationship with his dad.Pablo’s and Ken’s dads both worked overseas (but are now back in the Phil). Stell lived with his family until he got his own place. He has a very loving family.
fun fact: When dried under a microscope, your tears are, beautifully unique-like fingerprints or SNOWFLAKES. The line in the song "bakit bumubuhos ang nyebe?" or when literally translated "why does snow keeps on pouring" it means tears are falling from his (Pablo's) eyes.
I'm so happy you've finally covered NYEBE, a very soul warming song. It's one of my very favorites of SB19 songs. Thank you ❤❤❤ Nyebe is a spanish word for nyebe also used in the Philippines since some of our words are influenced by the Spanish colony before. This song is dedicated to families separated through OFW or any factors.
Josh never knew his dad, Ken's dad (and mom) had to leave him and his sister for Malaysia very early in life to earn a living. The rest of the guys (Stell, Pablo, Justin) have very good, solid relationships with their fathers.
This song is not a depressing song. It’s just a song of longing for a loved one, not necessarily a significant other but it can be about family. It’s the separation and the hope that one day to be with the one you love. Don’t rely too much on one persons interpretation on a song because you might get a different meaning when you really understand the lyrics. Filipinos are a tight knit family and if one is away from a family every one feels the loss of the person when they are far away. Me as a Filipino living in Canada feels this song so strongly because even though I have my own family here I still feel the longing of being with my younger brothers and sister and parents. Anyone can relate to this song.
NYEBE is so underrated, it's one of my favorite SB19 songs coz it's reminding you that everything's gonna be alright in time. Pablo used Nyebe as a metaphor for tears, sadness, uncertainties and more 😊
still my fave SB19 song after all these years. Nyebe means snow is a metaphor liking snow to peoples problems/struggles in life. However, like snow it soon will melt, same with peoples problem someday, somehow it too shall past. This song is really makes one emotional.
Chuck also did a deep dive into nyebe and he mentioned that science has discovered that not all tears are the same. The chemical composition of tears shed in extreme sadness is different from those shed when one is super happy or lonely or grieving.
Sad but not sad song. For Filipinos who are working far away from their families especially those who work abroad, this song is dedicated to them by SB19. It's not easy to travel nor come home easily during the lockdown days. Somehow, this song soothes the longing felt on those times. This is my second most like ballad from them (first is Mapa). Thank you for your RV.
This is one of Sb19 s underrated song but definitely my favorite.. Yes.. It's about relationship in all aspects.. It's the feeling of coldness without those people but it still make feel happy and contented at sames times because everything will be alright in the right time slmt for reaction more power
Thank you guy's for the rv!🙂💙🙏 Pavlo is amazing human being, his word play composition's are fantastic, it's God's gifted talent to him 'coz the Nase family are Christian's & mind you D&J react father & son all of 5 sibling's are talented, even their Papa Ted is good in singing & their Mama Grace is very intelligent & strong woman, 'coz when their father became an ofw ( oversea's Filipino worker's ) abroad Pavlo's Mom took all the responsibilities on how to raising a 5 kid's alone & it's not easy, glad that God is in the center of their family & the 5 kid's growing up as responsible. Felip/Ken with his older sister we're raised by their grand parent's 'coz when they were younger their parent's also became an ofw to Malaysia, they cannot visited them every year 'coz the fare maybe is expensive, according to Ken he saw his parent's only twice but because he also came to a Christian family his grand father is a preacher & other relative's he & his older sister growing well & maybe 2021 was the saddest year for Ken 'coz before the released of MaPa his grand mother passed away it was April or May then on that same year it was Dec. 24, 2021 his grand father also passed away, the 2 special people in his life gone for a year & everytime they sang MaPa Ken can't help it but cry, he promised before to them that they will give them a good life but when the Pandemic happened they've lost, that's the time Ken's parent's decided to came home for good & now Felip/Ken is very happy reuniting with the other 2 special people in their older sister's live's & we saw it during his older sister's wedding day last I think Dec. or Jan. & they live happily ever after! Stell has a complete happy family no one in his parent's become an ofw, only his Mom's sister in Japan & actually Stell is the one who onced lived in Japan helping his Tita to taking good care of his 2 girl's cousin's 'coz his Tita was a single parent but it's only for 6 month's when he's already fine after his sickness in the lung's, when he came back he contunued his passion in dancing & no problem to his family, they're very supportive of him until now!😊 Justin 'yah his co member's called him as a rich boy in their group, just like Stell they're 3 sibling's & all are boy's & Justin is really the youngest, but he raised well by his parent's, he said in one of their interview's, that eventhough he didn't experienced hardship's in life when he joined SB-19 as trainee & know's his other member's struggle & painful challenge's he's very thankful that he met his brother's in their group & like what they had promised to each other they will stay & going up to their career's & thankfully that it's happening now & whatever they've been through they will remained as real friend's forever & lastly the older member's painful story it's Josh Cullen Alberto Santos who's never been meet his real father, according to him they're 4 sibling's but he & his older sister lived together with their single Mom before when they were younger, life was getting harder for them & he doesn't want to grow up with nothing he decided to leaved their house & found a way of living, he worked different job's, actually I alway's crying every time I've watched his vlog about his lonely life before in his channel, unbelievable, although I can relate to him but I should say that Josh is the real strongest guy for me, finally he also reuniting with his Mom & when he tried to find his Father it was really sad when his uncle the brother of his father said that his Papa or Dad is already insane, it's really heartfelt for Josh,😭 but who know's maybe his Dad or Papa will get better & they get given the chance to meet & have a heart to heart talk as a Father & son, & that's all folk's, sorry for the long comment's, finally I have get the chance to watch them on Pagtatag finale con. on May, God is good all the time!🤗💙🙏 Stay safe & healthy alway's guy's!🙌
Nyebe was filmed during WYAT World tour while Freedom was filmed during Pagtatag world tour. For me, the song is more of introspective rather than depressing. The melody and the lyrics... 'nuff said 😊 I just love this song.💙
For us filipinos, a song such as this always and makes us connected to the same sorrow of outcome which somehow divided our family, specially when migration and working distantly. As young as a toddler can utter a word, tru songs a kid knows already to arouse a kind of heartfelt emotion from the way they sing. Moreso, filipinos are so senstively affectionate in anything, sad songs mostly has a way to alywas softens us, thats why we know how to channel our depreasions, its tru songs such as this we cry out and then everthing will be fine.
"Alam ko na hindi ito possible, bakit bumubuhos ang nyebe?" / "I know it is impossible, why the snow is pouring?". It is impossible to have snow in the Philippines because we are tropical country. Snow pouring is a metaphor for cold feelings created by loneliness and problems. Soon this feeling of loneliness and problems will soon go away like the snow that melts.
This is not about girls, per rather about the state of being alone, separated from a loved one. Apart from something or someone that gives you comfort and peace. The coldness of it all , nyebe , ( snow) defines that feeling. And like any other season, it will end and hopefully, that person is able to pick her/him self back up again from acute melancholy for reasons that reverse it.
It's Pablo who composed the song. We are all wondering what's in his brain( he must be gifted) to be able to come up with those lyrics .He is even the director of this MV. Even when he sings songcover, it becomes his own. He has an unreleased song entitled ???. Hope you react to this.
We are family oriented, we have to be apart to have a much better life that is why we take it out on songs. We express how we feel through songs whether happy, sad, doing dishes, laundry, etc and to lessen depression and while away our time. As said, "music is the language of the soul".
Pablo got experience of failed in relationship before And yeah his father work overseas. Struggled in life is so real. Then Josh also had bad experience about his ex gf . And being no father it's hard .😭
Josh never seen his dad since birth he was abused and tortured. Became homeless and poor Stell had good family relationships but also financially struggling and victim of bullying. Pablo also financially struggling his dad work abroad all his life. Ken also is very poor that he grow up with his grandparents bec his parents need to work away from home. Only Justin had a comfortable life and childhood
Pablo and his double entendres. Hone of the deep thoughts, apparently when tears are dried and seen under a microscope,it looks like snow. There are other symbolic thoughts in this song and mv. Also I think they all have good relationships with their parents except Josh father was not in his life as he was growing up. Thanks for loving our SEXILICIOUS SB19
Nyebe is a song that touches the heart. This was written during the pandemic when many families were separated. Because of how hard it is to find work in their country many family members choose to work abroad to support the family. Imagine the pandemic hits and family members don't know when, or even if, they would see each other again. The Philippines was slow in getting vaccines as well so they really shut down the country! That's what this song is about, especially the quote at the end. Ikako was also written for the Frontliners during the pandemic. By the way, Josh is the oldest at 30, Pablo is 29 I believe, Ken and Stell are 28 or 27 and Justin is the youngest at 25 or 26. A'tin will surely correct me. 😊
Today i’m so sad and disappointed, i am a senior citizen who physically waited in queue in ticketnet to buy ticket for SB19’s 2 day concert, but unfortunately both days got SOLD OUT. I went home empty handed 😩😩😩
Pablowrote Nyebe during the pandemic when everything was bleak; ergo, Nyebe (literally snow, and cold as it is). They shot this on their first US tour , expecting that there would be some snow.
I have family members who are also an OFW Overseas Filipino Worker, my husband (QATAR) and my youngest son, PATRICK so i can relate to it. my husband has been working abroad since 2004 and can only come home every 2-3 yrs and has even acquire COVID-19 and has been hospitalized for2 week because of labored breathing, its so hard for us to see him in that kind of condition, tyank God he survived and he said all the medical staff were very much helpful (especially the Filipinos working in the hospital) in these times of need..My son already finished his 2yr contact in Korea and will be back in the Philippines this May but only for 5weeks and will resume his work after..
Actually it's two ways their struggle as a group in our very own country and when ur away from family and love one.. even if it is cold ❄ nyebe or love from family and fans are still pouring. That they will continue even if its cold..
Thank you for this RV, i always felt like crying whenever i heard this song. It really hits my heart. How much more to those people who are apart from their love ones. Pablo can really makes your emotions go up and down with his songs.
❤This song is my favorite ballads from the boys. The song that made me cry when I first heard it and really think deeper into the meaning of it. Everything will be alright when spring come and all the snow will melt away . All the loneliness and longing for those person you want to be with, people you love who is so far away from you but if they will be there together and all those obstacles and hindrances will be overcome everything will be alright when all the snow melt away. Thank you D& J guys for featuring this song.Watching from BC Canada.🇵🇭🇨🇦🍁🍁
It was Pablo who composed 99% of their songs. Pablo is well read. He always read books so he has a wide vocabulary. Also, he always uses wordplay in his songs. But their ballad songs like this are really on point because of the emotions that Pablo puts into all his songs. He is a deep and caring person.
Yes it's snow in English. About their relationships with their parents, only Josh grew up without a father. The rest have complete family and have good relationships with them too. Except Ken whose parents are working abroad since he was very young so he grew up with his grandparents.
All the boys have good relationship with their parents except Josh didn't even see his father, Pablo's father was eorking abroad then and Ken's both parents too that he grew up with his grannies...Stell and Justin have them both besides them....the song is not only for a gf but lived ones who were far away like the OFW
NYEBE,PABLO sang this Before and Posted it on his Sound Cloud account.when he posted it on his Sound Cloud, the song is not yet Done or Finish.we Thought that he will Release this as His Solo song, but because his not a Selfish person,he decided to Released this with his Group.his Solo version is very different and it Hits different, everytime im listening to it,it hurts me inside💔 knowing that i myself is an OFW Missing Both of my Parents.crying alone every night before i sleep😢
@@TripTipsPodcast that's Good!.we should love both our parents because they are the only ones in the world. we will never find the love of a parent in another person. BTW,both of my Parents are in the Philippines. didn't see them for 8 years cause I'm working abroad now.
in Spanish it is "nieve". tips in filipino language...we dont use long vowel sounds often, so you have to pronounce it differently than the regular sounding american alphabet.
I'm not sure if anyone has told you yet but the trick to pronouncing tagalog words is to 'sound' each letter when reading it, which is very different from american or british english. you just need to read it as is, the way it is spelled. for example NYEBE.. it is not 'nye' or 'nigh' but nye as in 'nyeah" minus the h sound. :) e is short, i is not i as in 'eye' but long e as in 'ee' like in bee or lee.. :)) an example of which is 'liham' where you pronounce it as 'lee-ham' and not 'lye-ham'... ^^
@@TripTipsPodcast oh haha! it is to be expected and you'll be fine! i'm sure you will get better once you're here already. Nothing beats hearing the people talk in their local language as a way for you to learn it too.

Song warmed my heart ❤️
I believe Pablo’s inspiration for this song is his father who had to work abroad
Ok good to know
I love this song it's underrated song of SB19, but it is beautiful ❤. Thank you for the RV
Super underrated
Josh never knew his dad, Ken's dad (and mom) had to leave him and his sister for Malaysia very early in life to earn a living. The rest of the guys (Stell, Pablo, Justin) have very good, solid relationships with their fathers.
That saddens me

The song Nyebe is actually gospel inspired according to Pablo during an interview. It's heartwarming and it gives hope at the same time

Yes, Josh is 30, Pavlo is 29, Stell is 28, Felip/Ken is 27 & Justin is 25.
Today i’m so sad and disappointed, i am a senior citizen who physically waited in queue in ticketnet to buy ticket for SB19’s 2 day concert, but unfortunately both days got SOLD OUT. I went home empty handed 😩😩😩
So sorry to hear that 😞
This song hits different when live. Pablo’s raw emotion takes it to another level.
Seriously 😳
Pablowrote Nyebe during the pandemic when everything was bleak; ergo, Nyebe (literally snow, and cold as it is). They shot this on their first US tour , expecting that there would be some snow.
I see
I have family members who are also an OFW Overseas Filipino Worker, my husband (QATAR) and my youngest son, PATRICK so i can relate to it. my husband has been working abroad since 2004 and can only come home every 2-3 yrs and has even acquire COVID-19 and has been hospitalized for2 week because of labored breathing, its so hard for us to see him in that kind of condition, tyank God he survived and he said all the medical staff were very much helpful (especially the Filipinos working in the hospital) in these times of need..My son already finished his 2yr contact in Korea and will be back in the Philippines this May but only for 5weeks and will resume his work after..
Hope he enjoys his time out there
I love this song, they made me cryjust wow!!!👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕😢😢😢
So sad 😭
Nyebe hits different! Thank you so much D&J,💖💖
😊❤️😊❤️
Actually it's two ways their struggle as a group in our very own country and when ur away from family and love one.. even if it is cold ❄ nyebe or love from family and fans are still pouring. That they will continue even if its cold..
Thanks for sharing this with us
Nyebe is my number song from SB19. Truly it calms the heart.❤
Agreed
i love this song😘
Me too🤩
Thank you for this RV, i always felt like crying whenever i heard this song. It really hits my heart. How much more to those people who are apart from their love ones. Pablo can really makes your emotions go up and down with his songs.
We agree 👍
❤This song is my favorite ballads from the boys. The song that made me cry when I first heard it and really think deeper into the meaning of it. Everything will be alright when spring come and all the snow will melt away . All the loneliness and longing for those person you want to be with, people you love who is so far away from you but if they will be there together and all those obstacles and hindrances will be overcome everything will be alright when all the snow melt away. Thank you D& J guys for featuring this song.Watching from BC Canada.🇵🇭🇨🇦🍁🍁
Yes this song gets us in our feelings as well. ❤️😊
One of my top songs of SB19...❤❤❤❤❤
Same
I can listen to all sb19 songs except nyebe bcz always makes me cry a lot😭
Yea that’s a sad one for sure
as an OFW myself,i surely can relate to this song.❤
Hope you can get back to the Philippines soon
It was Pablo who composed 99% of their songs. Pablo is well read. He always read books so he has a wide vocabulary. Also, he always uses wordplay in his songs. But their ballad songs like this are really on point because of the emotions that Pablo puts into all his songs. He is a deep and caring person.
Genius
Yes indeed, Pablo kinda a poet. A poem with music and tune
this for someone longing and separated by profession, working abroad. how sad it is.
All #SB19 ballad songs are my favorites..
Love them too
Yes it's snow in English. About their relationships with their parents, only Josh grew up without a father. The rest have complete family and have good relationships with them too. Except Ken whose parents are working abroad since he was very young so he grew up with his grandparents.
I see. Yea joshes father really upset me when I heard what happened
Nyebe means snow in Filipino which came from the Spanish word “Nieve”
Thanks
All the boys have good relationship with their parents except Josh didn't even see his father, Pablo's father was eorking abroad then and Ken's both parents too that he grew up with his grannies...Stell and Justin have them both besides them....the song is not only for a gf but lived ones who were far away like the OFW
Josh’s fathers story really broke me
More spiritual than romantic IMo
Agreed
finally you react to this one. nice rv
Thanks
NYEBE,PABLO sang this Before and Posted it on his Sound Cloud account.when he posted it on his Sound Cloud, the song is not yet Done or Finish.we Thought that he will Release this as His Solo song, but because his not a Selfish person,he decided to Released this with his Group.his Solo version is very different and it Hits different, everytime im listening to it,it hurts me inside💔 knowing that i myself is an OFW Missing Both of my Parents.crying alone every night before i sleep😢
Awwww sorry to hear that 😞

@@AinBali my dad is the coolest guy alive. Love him to death. Where’s your dad at if you don’t mind me asking?
@@TripTipsPodcast that's Good!.we should love both our parents because they are the only ones in the world. we will never find the love of a parent in another person.
BTW,both of my Parents are in the Philippines. didn't see them for 8 years cause I'm working abroad now.

Guys have u reacted to LOVE YOURS by SB19 yet? Thanks for your reaction
I think so
Yes please it's really a good song. It deserves more views actually
The other song is Freedom
YES!
Please react to BEBOT by THE BLACK EYED PEAS 😊 its a filipino song thank you , one of the member of Black eyed peas is a filipino
in Spanish it is "nieve". tips in filipino language...we dont use long vowel sounds often, so you have to pronounce it differently than the regular sounding american alphabet.
Learn something new everyday 🙏😊
Pablo wrote this song
NYEBE pronounce as Niyebe
Thanks
I'm not sure if anyone has told you yet but the trick to pronouncing tagalog words is to 'sound' each letter when reading it, which is very different from american or british english. you just need to read it as is, the way it is spelled. for example NYEBE.. it is not 'nye' or 'nigh' but nye as in 'nyeah" minus the h sound. :) e is short, i is not i as in 'eye' but long e as in 'ee' like in bee or lee.. :)) an example of which is 'liham' where you pronounce it as 'lee-ham' and not 'lye-ham'... ^^
Thank you for explaining……. I’m sure I will still mess it up 🤣
@@TripTipsPodcast oh haha! it is to be expected and you'll be fine! i'm sure you will get better once you're here already. Nothing beats hearing the people talk in their local language as a way for you to learn it too.
@@Kukaiiii we’ll get better 👍
I think whenever they write songs, they try to put their own feet on others shoes.
Yes they do
