So many great ways to personalize wood and metal, we totally want to go in the shop right now and start burning, etching and wrapping things! Thanks guys!!!
Haha if you do make sure you upload it! Thanks for the comment guys 👍🏼👍🏼
Some great tips there guys thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it Dude thanks so much
Awesome vid once again 🙌🏻 the axes look great 😍
Thanks Kirstie! Glad you enjoyed the video
Norse runes, interesting choice. What is the oil you guys use when charing the wood, and is it the same stuff before and after?
Ah nvm boiled linseed oil.
Cool stuff guys!!
Thanks Red! This was a fun one 👍🏼
Just found your channel :-) Having a bit of a 'BrothersMakeFest' Guess the ironing won't get done today!!!
"Bros make or make bros" depending on what side of the axe you look at first ;-)
Hey Sharon! Welcome to our channel! Glad you’re enjoying what you see 😁 you got it! Thanks for watching 👍🏼

@@BrothersMake I actually just found an old axe/hammer combo I've had for years I take when I go camping...I might have to do a restore on it just to keep up with you guys :)
Artfully Rogue that sounds like it would make a great video!
Nice
I’m now going to go round and burn everything and put linseed oil on it. My wife thanks you.
Haha! Don’t blame us you pyromaniac!
That electro etching is pretty cool, I must say!
Too late......
😂😂
I know this is a older video but what size para cord did you use?
Now I want to pimp my axe. Im glad you are both getting your five a day.
Do it Matt! We’re on about 12 an hour at this rate! 😂
Fun
How long did it take to do both of the axes?
For this second part probably 5-10 hours but in total to restore them both it’s more like 40-50. But that’s with 2 of us and doing it all by hand 😅
👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
🤙🏽🤙🏽
🤙🤙🤙
What kind of oil do you use?
Boiled linseed oil
was that the Diresta icepick?
Absolutely
The runes says make brother
Background music unfortunately spoiling the the video content almost entirely!!!
The runes means Bros make
Well done!
@@BrothersMake thanks im Nordic so I can read it 😂
is this what it says in rune "man ash torch horse" andon the other side birch ride estate sun"
Interesting guesses! It says ‘BROS’ on one side and ‘MAKE’ on the other
It looks like the alphabet of old turkic countrys
Nail polish remover never works. You have to use 100 percent acetone. You can find it cheap in your nail polish isle. I pay like 5 dollars at my Walmart for a big bottle of it. Just let it set on it for a few seconds than wipe it off.
We have since picked up a bottle of pure acetone and it definitely works better! Thanks for the tip!
The grain in those handles are running the wrong way. Very weak!
Cool but most of these make the tool less useable. There are reasons actual axe users in the past didnt wrap handles or char the wood. But for decoration its cool.
How does a blackened handle make a tool less usable... 🤔
