10000%. Raised by a single mother working 60-80 hours a week to make ends meet. If I got something special it was an occasion. I was immediately told if I broke something on purpose it wouldn't be replaced. It makes me so angry seeing them break such expensive equipment like it's nothing.

My mother would have threatened to take me to a psychiatrist because that amount of rage over a game is not normal. And if my 2001 10 year old self would have broken the ps1 controller the game console would have been locked up for a year. I broke a pencil once at 6 or something out of frustration with my homework and I had to take my little baby hand and go in my tooth fairy money purse to pay her back 😆.
