Bob Keen did the effects for Hellraiser & he also worked on Candyman (which would be a fun movie for Halloween). Rob Bottin did The Thing, and he worked on a ton of movies like the original Star Wars, The Howling, Robo Cop, Fear & Loathing and much more. Both guys are absolute legends, in my opinion. I call the bad guys Cinnabons. That was fun.
I'm glad Thoren liked the movie. He really looked immersed. I would recommend reacting to two more Hellraiser films, Hellbound and Hell on Earth before checking out Hellraiser 2022. Unfortunately, the rest of the films struggle at transporting us into a realm of endless possibilities because this concept is beyond imagination. I tried and could only enjoy up to the 3rd film, Hell on Earth (1992). It is sad to say. I didn't revisit the franchise until a decade later because I hoped the rest of the films would satisfy my imagination. I gave up again after the 3rd, but since the films won't change, I can only bet on me changing, and when that time comes, hopefully, they'll affect me differently, and I'll enjoy the rest.
THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW (1988) is pretty trippy. It's based on a true story of voodoo priests turning people into living zombies. It stars Bill Pullman
How about a slick independent vampire flick from 1987, Near Dark. It was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, with 3 of the actors from Aliens. Is it a Western?
I love how this movie looks so British. That constant overcast. I mean it's obviously filmed in the UK but their trying to make us believe it takes place in the states, probably the most unbelievable thing in the whole movie 😂
"Thoren.... We have such -sights- 6/10s to show youuu" :D Congrats on the 1st milestone guys! Really enjoying your reactions and the fun editing! Thanks!
Part 2 is worth watching as it explains more of the lore. Follow that with the new Hellraiser reboot that came out last year. Skip part III and beyond.
I am seeing this reaction only hours later but as I type this, Variable Visuals subscriber count sits at exactly 513!! That's bad ass, if you build it they will come!! Keep going!! Guys, I'm dying to see you react to EVIL DEAD 2!!! Why Evil Dead 2, why not start with the first? Because Evil Dead 2 is like a remake of the first one so the first one becomes unnecessary. Evil Dead 2 is absolutely the creme de la creme of horror/comedy. It demands to be seen and will probably spoil you. There's nothing else quite like it!!
Evil Dead 2 is on my all time favorite movies list! I never saw the first one and didn't feel like I missed out on much! We were actually just talking about seeing that one tonight!
@@variablevisuals1625 My apologies Neil, I didn't know you'd seen it already but knowing you know how good it is, I can't wait to see you share it with Thoren and see his reaction to this absolute classic!!
You guys are both wrong about Julia. Even before she married Larry, she was already tired of his beta personality. Frank represented danger, excitement, an experience beyond HER limits. All it took was one good plough from him, and she was addicted. So much so, that she was willing to kill and kill again, just in hopes that Frank's glorious hog would one day again have skin on it. This woman was just as bad as Frank. Part 2 is totally worth watching but you can ignore the other 3 million sequels.
is it just me or is the movie hard to hear...ur kid is killing me lol...6 out 10...i would give it 9 out 10...people in the last many years been spoiled with cgi
Congrats on hitting 500 subscribers! Let me give you my 'is it worth watching it' shpiel for Hellraiser movies. :-P Hellraiser II is worth watching and the last 'good' one. Hellraiser III is cheesy fun but it kinda fogrgets who Pinhead is as a character. Hellraiser Bloodlines sort of wraps up the original movies and is even cheesier (HELLRAISER. IN. SPAAAAACE.) but I still like it and it stars a baby Adam Scott. Hellraiser Inferno wasn't originally meant to be a Hellraiser script but it was adapted into one. This is another one that maybe forgets what Pinhead is all about, but I still think its really good as its own movie. And the rest of the movies are trash up until the recent Hellraiser reboot, which is pretty good!
im so stoked Thoren loves cheesy classic horror. cant wait to see whats next

Great reaction guys to a horror classic I hope you do nightbreed from clive barker
Pumpkinhead might be a good one to check out. Lance Henriksen as Ed Harley is awesome.

Congrats on making it past 500

Thank you!! 😁
Great reaction! It is very interesting to see your joint detailed reaction to the film Space Truckers 1996. This is a cool movie 👍🔥🦾
The Jesus wept line was improvised by Actor Andrew Robinson

Why she did not took him to the doctor like anybody else?😂
I think it’s better than a 6. I guess you just had to be around at that time.
I would like to suggest the horror comedy, Fright Night (80's version, not the terrible remake)
651.

The volume is a little lower than usual. I'll try to turn it up on the next one.
