I'm coming back to this video to say that before I saw this video, I had never really considered adding additional top coats to my nails in the days following a manicure. I always just kind of left it at, "I painted the top coat on, just let it be." Boy oh boy, was that a life changer for me! My nails are able to still grow freely, and they have additional protection from the added layers. Thanks for the tip! It has served me well!
This was fun to watch Raquel, I'm a nail tech and my nails even longer than yours! Lol I always keep my manicures for a month, that's normal for me because I do a lot of nail art and it takes forever to take everything off, as you know. You and I do things alittle different though, I never do other colors over each other, I keep the original. I also do a top coat just about once a week, not as often as you lol. I personally like the outgrowth, I know most people dont, but I do, at least on me. What I do is I put nail oil on the outgrowth so it sinks into the actual nail.
jetson10100 Question: wouldn't the nails get dried out over a month? Especially with applying base coat to the backs of nails. Water and cuticle oil can't get in?
Hey long nail twin!! I sometimes leave my polish on for a bit at times but I usually change my polish once a week because I must do my Pro-Strong treatment, oil, 4 coats of hardener (Nail-Aid of course), color change, top coat, and hand massage routine. With an active dog I have to apply several coats and add silk/linen wrap for extra strength at times. Thanks for sharing and beautiful results😍
🥰👍🏽 I took my acrylics nails off once the Covid lockdown started and my nails are finally trying to grow out, and I’m gonna definitely follow your routine, thanks for sharing!!!🤗👍🏽
You are so right, I was just saying to my husband last week how when my nails are super long my polish lasts so long especially on the tips and just in general - right now they’re short and my polish doesn’t last as long. Love the nudey pink with the glitter ! Gorgeous ! ❤️🌷
Thank you for showing your nail polish maintenance process definitely inspiring for me for some reason when I apply too many coats the polish will start to peel off my nail but I will try this and see how it goes! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I thought I was the only one that hand the Seche Vite shrinkage problem when I would go back couple days later to retouch my nail polish, or sometimes it would build up to much by my cuticle. I now will do one coat of Seche Vite , and now use Nail- aid for touch ups !! Appreciate you loading this video..💅🏻💞👍
Best video ever! I always wondered how you kept a manicure perfect for weeks. So when you have nail art or design on your nails do you just add top coats only instead of another color polish? Also how do you remove all these layers of polish?
I always thought I was bending my nails without noticing when the cracks would form, also thought the shrinking top coat was my fault... thanks for the information.🥰

It was a blast seeing your one month nail growth! I didn't want the video to end, lol, as I loved seeing you add polish and change the colors. I love all the polishes you applied from start to finish. I have the black polish from Pure Ice, it was one of the last Pure Ice polishes I bought from Walmart before they yanked them from the shelves 🙁 TFS!
Your beautiful nails always inspire me to grow mine out, lately, I haven't been taking very good care of them. But seeing your videos and progress always inspires me.
@@Nails_bruh well right know I had to trim them sadly 😥 one broke while I was working and it broke down to the skin area of the nail ☹️🙃. So now I'm gonna let my nails rest and then slowly grow them back.
@@dianalaura3789 ah, breaking a nail sucks deeply 😞 I found what helped for me more than honestly anything else is learning to use other parts of my hands, instead of fingertips and nails, to do things. I use my knuckles, palms, sides of fingers, or tools to get everything done. Some things I slow down to do. And I find that was the game changer for me. Now it’s been over a month since my last break, whereas I used to break or crack them weekly 😅
@@Nails_bruh yeah I try to remind myself that nail are not tools. I'm honestly surprised they latesed so long because I work at amazon. Lol! I thought I was the only one that dose this. Like in a week I get tired of the color but I really don't want to take my polish so I just paint over it. People complement my nail and how long they are.
This was SUPER interesting and loved it. I'm still trying to regrow my natural nails, after cutting them very short. I'm using the Nailaid polishes and am experimenting with putting garlic in my top coat. I think I'll try this multi-day mani in addition. You definitely get the curiosity flowin, thanks for this.

Thanks for sharing this video. Like always I love your nails. Hey I have a question, how did you get your hair to grow so long and so fast it looks beautiful on you 👍🏼

Karisma Stanley Thank You Karisma Stanley for answering my question. But if you go back and re-read what I was asking it was not about her nails lol ... I was asking her about her Hair ... But again Thank you for your answer Karisma ... Take care and God Bless 🙏🏼
Yes any length is fine you should always be doing this anyways because coats of polish gives you nail protection from dirt and water and snags of the free edge from daily wear and tear of the tips if the nails
Maria Bennett yes it drys super fast with in a minute or 2. But the next day you add another layer it shrinks and will peel the entire manicure right off. On almost everyone if you read all the comments I’m dying to find another topcoat you can layer on everyday but haven’t found one yet.
María Corona it’s best if you do use it, it helps the manicure to last much longer. But if you are planning to keep the manicure for only a couple of days it wouldn’t be completely necessary.
It can be a condition called onychylosis. I get it when my nails are way too long. I cut the nail short, keep it really clean and hope like hell that the nail bed reattaches! Good luck xx
@@itsacarolbthing5221 Thank you and I think you are right about I was reading about nails th as t lift from the nail bed. Is the gel like polish harder?
Raquel, does that top coat dry fast?
Maria Bennett yes it drys super fast with in a minute or 2. But the next day you add another layer it shrinks and will peel the entire manicure right off. On almost everyone if you read all the comments I’m dying to find another topcoat you can layer on everyday but haven’t found one yet.
How long do you wait in between coats?
Love scratching ;)
Hi there, i have a quick question. Is the use of base coat necessary under the nail, or not.
María Corona it’s best if you do use it, it helps the manicure to last much longer. But if you are planning to keep the manicure for only a couple of days it wouldn’t be completely necessary.
@@jud4s77 hi there, thanks for the response, and I will use it like that from now on.
Question.... I have that Revlon base coat and top coat but I don’t use it that much cause of the smell (never goes away) does yours smell weird???
Mine doesn’t smell at all .. weird
Question what would you do if your own nail is lifting from your nail bed.☹💅🏻
Her nails are real the only lifting would be the polish. But because she it adding more polish Every day the polish is protected by the coats.
Go to a doctor.
@@purpl3lina I made a appointment for the 27 of this month thank God they had a opening.
I think that's why every time I get to have my nails long this is what happens so I end up cutting it then they grow back and I'd love them long said I don't shorten them so and then my nails starts lifting from the nail bed. Thanks Everyone.💅🏻👍
