How does a car cigarette lighter work? Cigarette lighters were universal accessories in cars until the mid-1990s. We put one in a CT scanner to see how it works and discovered a marvel of efficient, low-cost analog design.

some decades ago, i wanted this cigarette lighter for my tower pc!!!i'm still a heavy smoker, but now i use a mac mini. ;)
