Thank you, once again. I’ve made 3 of these already. My teenager’s friends and teachers have been asking for me to make them. Just so you know, the kids say it looks “smart.” As always, thanks for the sparkles at the end of the sections. Helps me to quickly forward to the next step!
You are the only youtuber for loom knitting that seems to use the Martha Stewart Loom which I just recently got & became frustrated since b4 I saw some of urs,I couldn't find any tutorials that used them..
Really enjoying this pattern now that I've figured it out. I really struggled the first 2 rows with twists. I kept losing track of which way to switch the loops and was having trouble with tight loops. Some things I started doing on row 9 is 1) untwisting the loops, 2) hooking bottom up made it easier to untwist 3) most importantly, i went around the loom and did all the twists first, going back and doing the PKKK afterwards. That made a huge difference. I also was more careful on the regular rows to not erap so tightly. Hope this can help anyone else struggling with the twists.
I hope to see many more projects you make on other configurations of this loom set, becuz I love getting to use it instead of the round set I got that has a 40peg that no1 else uses either..
i finished my first cable project because you made the process so easy. used 2 strands of worsted, so it was a little thin, but it still looks very nice. thanks for the inspiration!
Your tutorials are just brilliant! Really in depth and so doable, the most professional loom lessons I’ve seen on RUclips! I have Subbed and look forward to more 😊
I love this hat! However the ewrap brim is too loose for my son-in-law. If I use the uknit stitch, do you think it will work? Thanknyou for an easy to understand video!
What a beautiful hat! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful tutorial with us! A question if I may.....if wanting to make one of these on a 41 peg loom, do you still join the yarn in the round after skipping that 41st peg? If so, won't there be a gap there when finished? I haven't knitted many hats so am not sure how this works when using an odd number of pegs. Thanks so much for your time & thanks again for this fantastic how-to :)
There is a larger space between the 1st stitch and the 40th stitch, when you completely ignore that 41st peg, but I think it looks fine. I had thought about doing purl stitches every time on peg 41, but felt that it would make an even more obvious ladder. So my solution isn't perfect, but I personally think it works. Tip: knit really tight on peg 1 and peg 40. And thank you for your kind words.
The Martha Stewart loom has removable pegs, so in theory, I could have moved the pegs. It just hadn't crossed my mind, but it sounds like it would work.
@@hellomsyarn I ended up doing that because I was really struggling with getting the yarn back on the other peg.. worked so much easier for me. Just had to make sure to twist the correct loop over and vice versa
Yes, for sure! It will turn out nicely. Just keep in mind that if you are used to a certain circumference when you knit with a 36 peg loom, this hat will turn out a bit tighter. That's because the cables are pulling the stitches together.

After at least 5 attempts I finally finished the hat. It was so much fun. Starting the second but i want a longer brim. Thanks Ms. Yarn
Great to hear you finished it! Do feel free to extend the brim.

So glad to hear, thank you for sharing.

Glad you like the teaching style, thanks for watching.
I just found you a d you are a great teacher!
can't wait to do this. decided not to skip peg 41. I will purl it along with 40 then continue with the pattern.
That's good too! Glad to hear you will make this.
How does it look with doing purl at peg 41 I'm interested in this
I was wondering what to do with the 41st peg. I will give this a try...
Thank you for an informative video and a great idea.
Love it. Mine came out so nice thank you!
Enjoy being apart of this tutorial. 🤩
Love this pattern. Do you have a pattern for braided cable fingerless gloves to go with this?
Unfortunately, I do not.
Tuteate has a cable knit fingerless glove video if you're interested

You are welcome. And yes, a u-knit brim and a true knit brim would be tighter.

@@hellomsyarn Thank you so very much!!
Where can I bye the loom that you are using ? 😊
Any reason you couldn't just move the pegs with the loops on, in the same order instead of the just the loops?

Hello! Thank you so much for another beautiful pattern. Could a 36 peg loom work as it is divisible by 4? Thank you!
Yes, for sure! It will turn out nicely. Just keep in mind that if you are used to a certain circumference when you knit with a 36 peg loom, this hat will turn out a bit tighter. That's because the cables are pulling the stitches together.
Has anyone done this with doing a purl on the 41 peg loom How does it look ?
This is an old comment but I'll respond anyway. I have a 41 peg loom and just skipped the last spot. That part is looser and isn't the best look.
How do you avoid the gap in stitches when using a 41-peg round loom, please?
You can just knit very tightly at that part of the loom.
You must have used a special MS loom with strong pegs. All of the reviews for that loom are terrible.
