    This is the first time a tutorial helped with the knit purl combination that gave a presentation I understood. Also... BEST case off.. more professional finish (okay Ms Phillips exception) to the hats.. although i give 99 Percent if my Hays to charity I want them to look nice. Thank you so much!!

    This is the best Beanie loom tutorial that I've found. Love the pattern and it's actually incredibly easy! Because of the different colours its easy to remember to do the different stitches on the different rounds! And because of the double and single yarned pegs it's easy to know when to skip and when to knit! I turned the bottom of mine up before going to two colours and it worked out great.

    I'm using a thick & quick yarn like the video but my brim is super tight. I did the math and 24 rows to get 6 cm is like each row only adding .1" instead of the average .25". At that rate I'll use up all my yarn just on the brim!

    Hi Very beautiful Wondering if this could work on a 41 peg loom?

    • @nenemcc
      @nenemcc 8 лет назад

      I'm using this pattern on a 41 peg loom now. It's tricky because there is an extra peg left over, which creates a visible seam. After trying several ideas I finally settled on knitting the extra peg with color 1 and purling it with color 2.

    • @susanassel3912
      @susanassel3912 8 лет назад

      What do you do with the extra peg on the bottom part where it's only one color?

    • @nenemcc
      @nenemcc 8 лет назад +3

      I just e-wrapped the brim, but to do it in the brioche you'd alternate between knitting and purling that last peg. So you'd knit it at the end of the first row, purl at the end of the second row, knit at the end of the third, etc.

    • @carolschramski1447
      @carolschramski1447 4 года назад

      @@nenemcc confused. So you have to purl peg 40 and 41.

    • @nenemcc
      @nenemcc 4 года назад +1

      @@carolschramski1447 Yes. Whatever you do on peg 40, repeat on peg 41.

      Yeah. I just experimenting And it seems too big for some reason. Not sure this blue loom has 40 pegs or less. Maybe 36?? I’m still half way and I’m concerned it looks funny at 40 and 41th pegs. Still not sure. Will find out when I’m near the end and see how it feels. Honestly it’s feeling too big already from brim.

      I tried a few ways to deal with that 41st peg, and what seemed to work best was repeating whatever I did on peg 40. There's still a seam but it blends in better than anything else I tried.

    Does this pattern have much stretch to it? I want to make it for my 6yo. She has a lot of hear and wears it up often

    will it work if I go to the right instead of the left

    When you did the last brim row you were left with alternating 2 strands and 1 strand. But after you switched colors each peg had only one strand. What did I miss? I've rewound it numerous times.

    This is a great pattern. It’s so easy and yet looks so complicated! I found the closing up of the hat made it too puckered. I’ll use a different cast off next time.

      I’m thinking about trying to use elastic to close it off as a ponytail hat.

    I attempted to make this, but it did not come out even close to the video. For some reason, the second color showed through mixed with the first. I sent an email (the one in the comments) with pictures, but haven't heard back. Can someone help, please?

      I'm having the same issue - my first attempt was a mess (I purposely wanted my 2nd color to be minimal and instead it was all over the place!) ... I don't know WHY, but the only way I can get this pattern to work is if I e-wrap the knit rows instead of doing the flat knit like she does in the video

      +Robert Salazar but you got it to work that way? I sent an email to them, I saw it in the comments somewhere, but never got a response.

      ThatGirl01984 it seemed to, but I didn't get very far before my cat ate my yarn and my frustration made me start over with a different pattern lol...I'm going to try it again and if I can get it to work, I'll let you know !

      +Robert Salazar thanks, I may try your tip, if I ever finish the hat I'm working on! Not sure why, but since I tried this one, no matter how many times I've done a pattern, or how easy it is, I've missed stitches, lost my place in the pattern, just totally been jinxed 😖

    How would you do this without doing in the round like for a scarf or blanket?
