This is the first time a tutorial helped with the knit purl combination that gave a presentation I understood. Also... BEST case off.. more professional finish (okay Ms Phillips exception) to the hats.. although i give 99 Percent if my Hays to charity I want them to look nice. Thank you so much!!
I started last night and finished tonight, I have to remember that I should stop when sleepy..lol to many mistakes some I could fix others I left...over all it was quick and turned out great..thank you for a wonder tutorial...
I'm soooo glad this one was on a 36 peg! I love it so far and hoping it comes out as pretty as yours! I feel like these would make great sports team beanies for men!
I love your tutorials. I use them all the time. I wish I could find a tutorial on how to loom a mermaid tail that is as easy as you make everything else. I am looking forward to more of your videos. You're awesome.
+Krystal Roggow hi! Thank you so much for your nice words :) A mermaid tail is one of our pending projects... let's see if we can make one soon. Thank you!
Beautiful! I love your choice of colors. I can't wait to make this hat with the brioche stitch. I learned something new today, I am excited about starting this project! I love all of your videos and I'm learning so many new loom knit stitches, you make them all look so easy and your lighting is excellent. I am always able to see what you are doing. Thank you for sharing another great video.
+susan massey thank you so much for your nice words ^_^ So glad to have you here and hope you enjoy this project! We'd love to see your result (feel free to send us pictures to info@tuteate.com). Thank you!
This is the best Beanie loom tutorial that I've found. Love the pattern and it's actually incredibly easy! Because of the different colours its easy to remember to do the different stitches on the different rounds! And because of the double and single yarned pegs it's easy to know when to skip and when to knit! I turned the bottom of mine up before going to two colours and it worked out great.
This is so cool! I've recently started with this and I am on my third woollen cap (though I only use the normal knitting tecnique) never knew you could do stuff like this! I'm so inspired to do one cap like this now!
+Johanna Stenback “Hannisen” we'd love to see your results! Feel free to send us pictures to info@tuteate.com :) We're sharing them here: es.pinterest.com/equipot/subscribers-creations/

I just finished my hat today and it looks great! I've been putting this off because I was a little intimidated, but I'm so glad I tried it! Now I need winter to come just a little bit faster :)
Just started this hat for my Granddaughter. It's going to be her Frozen hat. Was going to do the star stitch one but she lives in Alaska so I wanted a tighter stich. I'm using velvety red heart yarn so it's super soft.
Please delete if this isn't allowed, but I thought it might help a lot of people to see the written instructions: Even numbered loom COLOR A COLOR B CAST ON WITH COLOR A (WRAP EVERY PEG TWICE AND PULL BOTTOM OVER TOP) KNIT ONE, SKIP ONE (SKIPPED ONE GOES IN FRONT OF PEG) SKIP ONE, PURL ONE (THE ONE WITH 2 LOOPS) 12 PAIRS (24 ROWS OF) THESE: (OR 2.5 INCHES) KNIT 1 (WITH TWO LOOPS) SKIP ONE SKIP ONE, PURL ONE (THE ONE WITH 2 LOOPS) (6:10 IN THE VIDEO) END THIS WITH KNIT 1 (WITH TWO LOOPS) SKIP ONE ATTACH COLOR B WITH A SLIP KNOT TO FIRST PEG (7:42) SKIP ONE, PURL ONE (THE ONE WITH 2 LOOPS) COLOR A KNIT 1 (WITH TWO LOOPS) SKIP ONE COLOR B SKIP ONE, PURL ONE (THE ONE WITH 2 LOOPS) COLOR A KNIT 1 (WITH TWO LOOPS) SKIP ONE 11:36 COLOR B SKIP ONE, PURL ONE (THE ONE WITH 2 LOOPS) CONTINUE AND STOP WHEN LENGTH IS APROX. 8.5 INCHES (~22 PAIRS) 13:03 CUT AND TIE TOGETHER. Just finished watching your new video on the brioche stitch. It is beautiful. Thank you. Where did you purchase your looms? Also, love your music. So calming.
I'm using a thick & quick yarn like the video but my brim is super tight. I did the math and 24 rows to get 6 cm is like each row only adding .1" instead of the average .25". At that rate I'll use up all my yarn just on the brim!
I’m just trying to learn how to do this stitch. It seem like when I go on purl row I have 3 stitch across the skip pegs. What am I doing wrong.. Please help me. It on the purl row. Will I be able to purchase this pattern?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hat. It's always one of the first ones to go when I give them away to the homeless. Some have commented that the inside is as pretty as the outside, is there a way of incorporating this for the outside of the hat as well?
Am just starting this project, started with medium weight yarn, wondering if I should be using two strands?? Love your directions always shows on screen so I can see what you are doing. Was worried I wouldn't be able to follow pattern since you weren't talking, I've since learned actions speak louder than words. lol
Hehehe thank you fo ryour feedback Sue! Maybe if you use just 1 strand your result will have "holes" between stitches? I am not sure, but I would use 2 strands at the same time, yes...
great video, i've looked at other videos and it seemed complicated but this is easier to understand. it is a beautiful pattern. WHat is the yarn you are using?? thanks
Hi, I just learn about knitting with loom and I'm so addicted. And I really like your tutorials because it's very easy and clear to understand. By the way, I love you loom, may I know what is the brand? thank you very much!
I am having issues with my end results. I follow the video step for step but when i look at my hat it the colors are all mismatched. I am using purple as the main color and gold for the 2nd color. I'm hoping you can offer any help on what I am doing wrong
I'm using this pattern on a 41 peg loom now. It's tricky because there is an extra peg left over, which creates a visible seam. After trying several ideas I finally settled on knitting the extra peg with color 1 and purling it with color 2.
I just e-wrapped the brim, but to do it in the brioche you'd alternate between knitting and purling that last peg. So you'd knit it at the end of the first row, purl at the end of the second row, knit at the end of the third, etc.
I love this hat! I can do everything just fine but the further I go the more loose and chappy looking the first two rows look. I'm sure it would look even worse when wearing the hat! Yours looks nice and neat. Does anyone have any hints on how to fix this?
Hello! What size yarn are you using? Do you think it would be possible to make an infinity scarf in the same fashion? Thank you for all your beautiful tutorial!
AWESOME TUTORIAL HELP I NEED YOUR HELP . . CAN YOU DO A TUTORIAL ON SCRAP YARN AND WHAT CAN BE MADE . I HAVE A LOT OF SCRAP YARN AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM . I HAVE SOME PIECES ARE BIGGER THAN OTHERS .YOUR VIDEOS AND TUTORIALS ARE EASY TO UNDERSTAND, YOU ARE VERY TALENTED. THANKS FOR SHARING .
Yeah. I just experimenting And it seems too big for some reason. Not sure this blue loom has 40 pegs or less. Maybe 36?? I’m still half way and I’m concerned it looks funny at 40 and 41th pegs. Still not sure. Will find out when I’m near the end and see how it feels. Honestly it’s feeling too big already from brim.
I tried a few ways to deal with that 41st peg, and what seemed to work best was repeating whatever I did on peg 40. There's still a seam but it blends in better than anything else I tried.
When you did the last brim row you were left with alternating 2 strands and 1 strand. But after you switched colors each peg had only one strand. What did I miss? I've rewound it numerous times.
This is a great pattern. It’s so easy and yet looks so complicated! I found the closing up of the hat made it too puckered. I’ll use a different cast off next time.
I attempted to make this, but it did not come out even close to the video. For some reason, the second color showed through mixed with the first. I sent an email (the one in the comments) with pictures, but haven't heard back. Can someone help, please?
I'm having the same issue - my first attempt was a mess (I purposely wanted my 2nd color to be minimal and instead it was all over the place!) ... I don't know WHY, but the only way I can get this pattern to work is if I e-wrap the knit rows instead of doing the flat knit like she does in the video
ThatGirl01984 it seemed to, but I didn't get very far before my cat ate my yarn and my frustration made me start over with a different pattern lol...I'm going to try it again and if I can get it to work, I'll let you know !
+Robert Salazar thanks, I may try your tip, if I ever finish the hat I'm working on! Not sure why, but since I tried this one, no matter how many times I've done a pattern, or how easy it is, I've missed stitches, lost my place in the pattern, just totally been jinxed 😖

Hi, I love it, I don't have a 36 peg loom, will a even number peg loom still work, ty
Hi, I just learn about knitting with loom and I'm so addicted. And I really like your tutorials because it's very easy and clear to understand. By the way, I love you loom, may I know what is the brand? thank you very much!
I love the hat! But it would be too small for my husband. How can I adapt the pattern on to a 41 peg round loom??
love your videos I always watch them laying down which is not a good thing to do the music always puts me to sleep...lo
+kristal kraus hahaha looming therapy ;)
Is there a name for this cast-on? Trying to keep the many cast-ons straight for my reference. Thanks!
I am having issues with my end results. I follow the video step for step but when i look at my hat it the colors are all mismatched. I am using purple as the main color and gold for the 2nd color. I'm hoping you can offer any help on what I am doing wrong
Lovely! How do you change the colors if you knit flat, instead of in a round?
Ese hermosos me encanta
Hi Very beautiful Wondering if this could work on a 41 peg loom?
I'm using this pattern on a 41 peg loom now. It's tricky because there is an extra peg left over, which creates a visible seam. After trying several ideas I finally settled on knitting the extra peg with color 1 and purling it with color 2.
What do you do with the extra peg on the bottom part where it's only one color?
I just e-wrapped the brim, but to do it in the brioche you'd alternate between knitting and purling that last peg. So you'd knit it at the end of the first row, purl at the end of the second row, knit at the end of the third, etc.
@@nenemcc confused. So you have to purl peg 40 and 41.
@@carolschramski1447 Yes. Whatever you do on peg 40, repeat on peg 41.
I love this hat! I can do everything just fine but the further I go the more loose and chappy looking the first two rows look. I'm sure it would look even worse when wearing the hat! Yours looks nice and neat. Does anyone have any hints on how to fix this?
Im using redheart worsted weight 4 ply yarn. Is that ok or should i double the yarn?
Hello! What size yarn are you using? Do you think it would be possible to make an infinity scarf in the same fashion? Thank you for all your beautiful tutorial!
buenisimo
What weight yarn did you use on this project?
You edited out a part at 8:30 minutes. Is this because you made an error the previous row...?
Nice
Marie Avalone you can use it to stuff dolls.
I have a 21 pegs loom. Where do I tie my first knot? At the anchor?
How do you know when to use an odd or even amount of pegs without a pattern?
Nice!..is the cast off called decreased hat cast...or something like that...I have seen others but yours looks so easy so maybe I can do it!
How would you do this on a 41 peg loom?
Any responses to your question?
I was wondering the same thing....
Does this pattern have much stretch to it? I want to make it for my 6yo. She has a lot of hear and wears it up often
Can this pattern be worked on a 41 peg loom
how the heck do you come up with this stuff? I love how you casted off, i'll have to try that next time.
Can this be accomplished on 41 peg?
will it work if I go to the right instead of the left
When you did the last brim row you were left with alternating 2 strands and 1 strand. But after you switched colors each peg had only one strand. What did I miss? I've rewound it numerous times.
This is a great pattern. It’s so easy and yet looks so complicated! I found the closing up of the hat made it too puckered. I’ll use a different cast off next time.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
I’m thinking about trying to use elastic to close it off as a ponytail hat.
+Robert Salazar but you got it to work that way? I sent an email to them, I saw it in the comments somewhere, but never got a response.
Did you use size 6 or 5 bulky?
Can this technique be done as a flat panel?
How would the end pegs be worked?
Yes, it can 😊 I think this other video will help you out: ruclips.net/video/qO5uyw53x7w/видео.html
Tuteate Yes that most definitely helped! Thank you ! Your videos are well done. Very clear and easy to follow.
How would you do this without doing in the round like for a scarf or blanket?
