I see the pros and cons here and can't really say anything till mine comes in the mail shortly. The basic presence on a shelf blows the hasbro voyager out of the water and thats mainly what I want. Love that visual aid with the turtles, it illustrates what you said perfectly. Good idea for the future if needed
I get what you mean but he looks on point, the gloss is a little weird but I could get passed it. One thing we all need to understand is we GOT this guy, no one made one this bulky and solid. I like this figure way more than the rest.
Finally 10k, thoroughly deserved man! Not sure what's the crack with mmc, whether they are slipping or just not keeping pace with the other big 3p's. It's worrying either way tho.
Great review Skull Man!!! I know exactly what your saying. I bought the Strika version of this mold and although ok it just seemed off. Truthfully I had this on preorder and cancelled it because of not really being happy with the other one. I actually prefer this character but will, stick with my fansproject version for my shelf. Keep up the great work brother...
was looking fw to him as he was a favour idw character of mine however once I got him outa box and transformed have stress marks on both tabs on inside of calves/legs. do u? scared to transform him again
Another solid review, this is what I enjoy. I do like his accessories, but it is too bad he does not come with a little more of them and a little more paint. Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers.
Are u gonna get the other one. The Beast machine version. I think i might get that one. Now im just hoping a Fanstoys version will appear. If they make it in the way they are making springer. Big and bulky like that. It would be great.
Gotta agree this one feels too pricey for what you get, but that's why I got the Strika version as Strika will probably not get another official figure for a long time.
Got the Fansproject Revolver recently, what a figure. Looked for another 3P Roadbuster, found this. Yeah pretty lacking for $110+. Hopefully Haskara makes a WFC Roadbuster, he's perfect for the Siege style line.
I like mine, but I have disposable income and no wife and kids. I am stuck on one thing which one is the repaint? I know the Titanica came out first but doesn't Road Buster have more history? I guess it doesn't really matter maybe it's one of those existential questions.
Is it just me or is MMC making some figures where the transformation isn't all that complex? Kind of a happy medium of transforming that I tend to like from certain figures I suppose. Does look like a good figure though.
I live in Virginia Beach Va.... I have been a G1 fan since I was 12. In my 40s now. I have to admit I was heart broken when the series ended in the US lol.
I honestly cant see why this is more expensive than Terraegis from their Ocular Max line; the paint apps on both are lacking, but the engineering isn't even in the same ballpark.
yea i agree but thats part of the problem is trying to make 2 ok figures where one is more popular, instead of nailing the more popular and making an ok repaint.
Well said, alarm bells ringing for MMC at the moment. They need to be careful they don't compromise themselves by milking the repaint angle rather than nailing the primary character, like you said. I really hope that's not their current business model. Reputation counts for so much in the 3P game, and they don't want to go the same way as Fansproject.
The only thing that really bothers me about this guy is the lack of paint apps. Sadly, it's one area that MMC is consistently lacking in. I noticed that your Spartan sports some Reprolabels. Spartan is another example of a figure that would have been better off with paint apps. Granted, the difference between the two figures is that in Spartan's case it is one of few flaws versus many great aspects while Dicamus is nearly the opposite. Still, Dicamus is on its way to me as I write this. Guess I'll be looking for some Reprolables for Dicamus in the near future.
I wz really going in on these reformatted figs I mean Tarn ,and Carnifex are the A+ players of the collection, BUT it's been watered down decline since then . definitely models of inconsistencie. I'm not looking forward to that Cyclonus either.
Love the armored knuckles and alternate head...but this guys NEEDS a ton more accessories (especially at the $110 price point) and a little more paint apps...the glaring shortcoming/correction needed though are those wheels...the whole time you're messing with this guy all I hear are the plastics wheels rattling.
I feel if your gonna spend that money on an transformer figure like that, your money would be better spent on a Maketoys crossdimensions figure or something from Fanshobby.
It seems to me that MMC kind of dropped the ball on this one. Seems like the cut a lot of corners, which is strange since so many of their other figures seem so much better. I like the bulk of it, but I agree, needs so much more paint. I'd pay $40 or $50 for it but I agree, $100... Wow! Thanks for another honest review!
Bobby Skullface L thats right! ladies and gentle. thats for are show thank you bobby for playing till next time guess those transfomers!!! goodnight folks

thank you sir, hope you enjoy
Bobby Skullface L congrats on the 10k subs and thanks for another great review! God bless you and yours!
They need to lower the price. $110+ is too much for this. I want it , but the price holds me back right now.
i hear you
Yeah, I'm watching this guy for Black Friday 2018.
Well I will definitely introduced myself ... you are my number one reviewer on transformers.
jokerkidone it would be my pleasure to hang out. are you local to this area?
Congrats on the 10k mate. Been waiting for it !!! WOOOOOOO
OH hey...10K!!!! Good eye.
thanks!
I get what you mean but he looks on point, the gloss is a little weird but I could get passed it. One thing we all need to understand is we GOT this guy, no one made one this bulky and solid. I like this figure way more than the rest.
You go above and beyond. I like the way you think. Getting real good at this Skulls.
thank you sir
Finally 10k, thoroughly deserved man!
Not sure what's the crack with mmc, whether they are slipping or just not keeping pace with the other big 3p's. It's worrying either way tho.
thank you sir!
I kinda like the shiny chestplate. Its a bit like when you rock an average suit, but your watch, belt and shoes are bangin'. Solid review Bobby.
lol!

i dont blame you
was looking fw to him as he was a favour idw character of mine however once I got him outa box and transformed have stress marks on both tabs on inside of calves/legs. do u?
scared to transform him again
not that ive noticed

thanks man!
it looks like a good buy to me, any thoughts on how it fares against Generations Roadbuster? Didn't get that but always wondered about it.
other than the visual aid bit i do, no.
I was all set to pick this guy up, but now IO have second thoughts. Anyways, great review and congrats on 10k.
thank you
10K!!! Finally! Great job! Keep busting out that truth man! :^)
thanks man
Is Tiger Tracks' spoiler feeling the impact of all those landings into the bucket?
hopefully, muahahahahaha
Are u gonna get the other one. The Beast machine version. I think i might get that one. Now im just hoping a Fanstoys version will appear. If they make it in the way they are making springer. Big and bulky like that. It would be great.
i am not
Jeah i agree thw point about hasbro quality in that way but for decoration he looks nice
I'm not sure if I should get this or stick with the Fansproject version
i hear you
I think with a different head sculpt and paint deco this would make a good Bulkhead.
youre probably right
for me I think the strika version fits the mold a little better.
yep, i agree, i think thats the problem
lmao
Bobby will you be at the TFcon in DC?
absolutely
Better stuff... how good is Grinder! You down for the G1 dino head sculpt?
na, mine stays in bot mode so i'll save the 20 ;)
Gotta agree this one feels too pricey for what you get, but that's why I got the Strika version as Strika will probably not get another official figure for a long time.
agreed
Btw, the fingers are separately articulated

yep thats my exact point man. roadbuster has more history so he should have been the primary focus without sacrifice or compromise
I see what you are saying.
I completely agree. This belongs, IMO, in the leader class price range. Maybe a bit more, but not as much as they're asking.
agreed
Soooo... what are your thoughts on MMC Tyrantron?
i'll buy it
Great! ever since i saw it i wanted you to review it.
Hey BoBo. You hype about the upcoming FansHobby PowerMaster Optimus Prime?
not personally, but im hoping to review it
Is it just me or is MMC making some figures where the transformation isn't all that complex? Kind of a happy medium of transforming that I tend to like from certain figures I suppose. Does look like a good figure though.
i would agree
I live in Virginia Beach Va.... I have been a G1 fan since I was 12. In my 40s now. I have to admit I was heart broken when the series ended in the US lol.
copy that
congrats on 10,000 subs and i think overlord tarn and spartan aresome of there best figures to date. this guy is okay could be better
thanks!
I honestly cant see why this is more expensive than Terraegis from their Ocular Max line; the paint apps on both are lacking, but the engineering isn't even in the same ballpark.
agreed
I think the Strika version of this adds the grace to the bulk that you were looking for. Besides that, the head doesn't sit right with me on this one.
yea i agree but thats part of the problem is trying to make 2 ok figures where one is more popular, instead of nailing the more popular and making an ok repaint.

preach!
Only downside:
He doesn't come with an alternative attachment of Tarantula exploding out of his head.

had to pause the video and get a pizza for this
hahahahah
Bobby10ksubsface
(congrats)
thanks!
Poor Tigertrax always getting thrown around
lol
I feel if your gonna spend that money on an transformer figure like that, your money would be better spent on a Maketoys crossdimensions figure or something from Fanshobby.
That being said though, the MMC Titanika I feel pulls off this mold better as far as the looks department.
i think titanika doing it better is part of the problem but i agree with you
and he jus doesnt look like autobot he jus looks to gundammy zaku
he needs an axe to make it official lol
this is outside my scope of practice :)
Wait, did you really say "butt plate"?
LOL!!!!!
Butt plate!
*BUTT PLAAAAAAAAAAAATE!!!!!!!*
;)
Bobby Skullface L I just couldn't help myself...
;-)
