That Prekese as it is called by Ghanaians the lady gave you at the shop is also called Aidan fruit in English, Aridan or Oshosho by Nigerians. This is the fruit of Tetrapleura tetraptera. Its very healthy. You can make bitters from it either with alcohol or water by putting the pieces of the fruit into a bottle and adding the water or alcoholic drink to it. Gin ,vodka etc. Leave it to dissolve into the mix for some days and you can drink. For soups, just throw some of the whole fruit into the boiling soup and leave it to cook together. Take it out of the soup and drink the soup. Very healthy stuff.
