    Quitting booze was the best productivity hack I've ever done. Went from being a 20 year old for 20 years to actually getting stuff done outside of work hours. Finally finishing my Bachelor's next year and learning coding etc. Hopefully can be financially independent before 50. Got 9 years. :D

    • @cristiplopeanu
      @cristiplopeanu 2 года назад

      "Financially independent" can mean many things. Make sure you create solid context around it so you don't unconsciously follow a meaning that might lead you to undesired results. Booze sucks! it creates an energetic unbalance and shift towards emotional thinking, so critical thinking and learning become impossible. Good luck w/ your plans!

    • @E4Sierra
      @E4Sierra 2 года назад

      True, he's providing some valid, valuable advice - however it's nothing new under the sun. For almost three decades I've been hearing others (such as Brian Tracy, Tim Ferriss, Gary Keller, etc.) teach the exact principles contained in this video.
      And presenting regurgitated information as a mash-up of sorts, with one's own personal twist and delivery style thrown into the mix, is *hardly*
      ".. the best advice _no one ever told you_ "

    • @IsmailAhmad
      @IsmailAhmad 2 года назад +1

      @@E4Sierra yes, there’ll be hardly any video that depicts a completely different life advice bcz it’s just the inherent understanding of a human which he tends to listen in different ways. But the whole idea of sharing advices which can be life changing to many, but what I mean is mostly we get to see the same titles where content creator itself reinforces the idea of some life changing advice (Not entirely for clickbait, perhaps bcz this is how our mind works in the first place)
      Not promoting him, but after watching better ideas. It feels as if Joey Schweitzer sets a different tone to approach similar issues. What do you say?

    9:19 It clearly reminds me of the story about the woman who approached Picasso in a restaurant, asked him to scribble something on a napkin, and said she would be happy to pay whatever he felt it was worth. Picasso complied and then said, “That will be $10,000.”
    “But you did that in thirty seconds,” the astonished woman replied.
    “No,” Picasso said. “It has taken me forty years to do that.”

    Ah yes, by any other name...WORK SMART NOT HARD. Out of all the golden nuggets of this video the key point for me is this "Money is an exchange for value, not time"...this is absolutely the NEW paradigm, the NEW MONEY.
    Everything I do in my business is about adding value, even commenting on my favorite videos on YT like this one my goal is to add value to Clarks viewers...to help his analytics through the engagement metrics and to draw attention to my own work as each comment is a small sample of what I do, what I believe, how I can help others...
    this is a win-win-win and it sure beats these guys on YT who copy paste some spiritual quote in all the comment streams without even watching their videos and sign it "from a growing law of attraction youtuber" lol. Namaste

    • @calvinschindzielorz754
      @calvinschindzielorz754 2 года назад

      a youtube comment is especially valuable when it polarises.
      creates engagement and therefore boosts the algorithm, so even a comment thats a dumb joke or seems like theres no value to its content can most of the times be the most valuable comment for the youtuber

    I think it's funny that we get trained to be less productive.
    I had many jobs that I've been very good at and finished my tasks 3 or 4 hours after I started.
    And only once in my job career I had a boss that told me I could do what I want when I was finished because I deserved it.
    Others needed the full 8 hours for the same task because they told themselves "I get as much if I do it slow".
    So sad the company moved and I only worked there for some time.
    My last job rewarded me for being fast with even more work, so I started saying I get the same money for 6 times more work than my colleagues.
    I am now sick because my depressions got worse and started making music.
    And i feel way better already, I can do 3 hours of writing lyrics and trying to rap or sing them and get something done and when I'm done I have time to do more or take a break as reward.
    My next job will definitely be a job where I don't get paid for my time, I want to get paid for my productivity.

      I feel you bootylicious. I'm a lawyer - or was - and one of the most demoralizing aspects as an associate is the goal is to get more billable hours. so no matter HOW much you work or how fast or how slow you just face an endless wall of hours staring at you

    Easily THE BEST video on productivity. Very practical advice here.
    I find I get pretty overwhelmed because I'm probably just doing too much. Between 1:1 client work (very hands-on), cohorts (involved but not high-touch), and writing goals (what always gets pushed to the side for clients), it's hard to know what that one thing is.
    Because, of course, I need to create evergreen content to get more clients, but if I'm too maxed out serving the clients I *do* have, I'm not being forward thinking for the future for when I wrap up projects for these clients. (Inevitably, I get into a feast-and-famine cycle.)
    Anyway, I don't actually expect any advice here because it's a comments section, but if anyone else is struggling with this (immediate client work vs future proofing your business), you're not alone.

    I think I get it now for a moment there I thought that clearing out my space to work out was going to be what I do in those two hours but I'm realizing that that 2 hours should be a workout missing my safe place of non-judgment it's those other 6 hours that I can put the time and effort into clearing the space but what I need to focus on is the workout when it gets done it'll be done then I can utilize it but until then I have to actually work out thank you thank you thank you for your advice

    So I realized I was able to get house work and chores done when I had school work that needed to be completed.
    Covid came and messed everything up…
    I need to quit alcohol.
    I’m Irish and come from a family of alcoholics. I used to be a heroin addict. I have been clean from that for almost ten years.
    I picked up alcohol, had a problem with it, dropped it for a while, got back into it once I got with my significant other. I’m not blaming him, I know I have an addictive personality.
    I am a first time mother.
    I would like to say, if you’re the mommy in the relationship, you are going to be the one who is going to be pulled out of that focus state (especially if the other parent isn’t the one who isn’t the stay at home one.)
    I’m not an ultra feminist.
    I come from a family of majority men.
    I named my son after the men on my paternal side that have passed.
    I was so elated when I found out that I was having a baby boy!
    One thing that’s funny:
    I’m an only child.
    My
    Cousins and I have all had boys.
    My paternal grandmother had six boys.
    Something must have skipped a generation. I have a female cousin on my paternal side and a female cousin who has had a son on my maternal side.
    We have all made boys!
    The male brain is fascinating to me.
    You boys are special.
    I have always felt a very loving bond to you.
    Girls are made of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
    Boys are made of…
    You know snakes, snails, and puppy dog tails.
    Or maybe; they’re just dumb, young, and full of…
    The silliness?!
    I don’t know…?!

I have even heard about a guy on my work doing 400 sometimes, myself im doing about 40-80. Imagine how easy it is for that guy doing 400 emails a day, to make 100 during his focus time. He could basically work 2h a day and do something else 6h and get payed anyways, cuz 100 is still really good. Then he could use that 6h to focus more on stuff that is important.

    I am not sure if you believe in spirit guides but I am sure mine ones put this video on purpose. Lately, I've been asking help for be more discipline and procrastinate less (I do not google anymore for these things long ago), and the other day going on the kayak I realized my panic of failure, (can be the root of my procrastination), I was kayaking and I saw a bird that could not fly out of the sea, after a few tries we could not get him and I just got upset, I lie down on the kayak, asking to go back to shore that I did not want padel anymore, it was when I realized my panic of failure block me and made me do nothing. Luckily my partner went back to the bird and in the end, we could save him. And now after 3 days appear this video first on youtube, Thanks for this video :)

I have been stuck on building my business, I don't know if maybe it's the fear of dealing with depression again or what..but that kept me on the edge of not finishing because of thinking about funding and all that, since well I do not have money to invest in it, but I will put all this into practice..this video came at the right time of the day

    My favorite is titled "Toxicity Productivity" for ADHD because most of these things don't work for us.

    For me the biggest problem is that the productivity and time spend working became the goal, instead of being efficient with your time and reaching the actual goals.
