I’m spending twice the amount, for half the horsepower, but it will be NA! Which in my opinion is more fun 🤓 your video is very informative!! Cheers happy boosting !!!
Not that I know of. Not that has everything but contact Leroy Engineering in Chardon Ohio and see what they can do for you. Tell them that Rick at RH2RACING sent you! Thanks for watching!
Can I ask how you removed all the round oil stoppers from the block? The golden ones on the sides and the small one which he puts back on with the hammer. Thank you!!
You commented on the oil pump being a requirement to be replaced. Is it that important? I ask because I'm building a 1.6 . Are the stock oil pumps that bad?
BP engines had forged cranks from the factory, and making the planned 200-300 HP (for this motor) is effortless for them. If you're looking for 400+, then we might start looking at aftermarket cranks.
love how thorough you are
Learned more watching this than my engines class in trade school, Great vid
this is the exact type of vids i like
This is great detail. Keep it goin!

I know barely anything about actually building a car, but if you can teach me like this I’ll work for you full time with low wages.
Instead of a micrometer could you use a quality digital caliper?

What is the hp and torque that would be expected from a built 1.8?
how did this just pop up on my feed?
🥶
is there a kit you can buy with all these parts together or how do you go about getting everything you need to build the engine?

Why stock crank? Is it boost capable even with 200,000 miles?
