    In addition to new frame, croas strings are ~55-60% different from V6 to V7. Opening up more from middle upwards on the V7. The lowest cross string is a full 12-13mm lower on V7.

    Miles better than the last model. Butter off the strings. It’s like a prestige for dummies. First thing I noticed on my first hit at team practice was that it’s far more stable and absolutely tears through the ball. No idea how they’ve done it but they have. Feel like I can hit flat and safe or change it up to extreme spin and it delivers 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    One of the best videos you’ve done in a long time Harry (and I love your channel). Definitely miles better than the Wilson cosmetics video (maybe leave the cosmetics to other channels ?) Dan is just awesome, great breakdown etc of the new Vcore. Get him in for all new rackets 👍

    Off topic. You like reviewing old rackets here’s a suggestion. The Snauwaert Hi Ten 50. Mark Woodfordes racket in his prime. It had like 12 or 14 mains and the most open string pattern you cold imagine. It used really thick string strung at over 80# hence the name. Also Pro Kennex made some rackets named Micros. They had extremely dense string patterns. Over 20 mains and used very thin gauge string.

    14:30 Hmmm. I wonder if by thinner they meant the wall thickness and the cross sectional area in that direction.

    Hey man! love your videos. I have a question for you: I'm currently playing with a babolat pure strike, which has a balance of 320mm (that i'm very confortable with) and im planning to switch to a Ezone 98, which has a balance of 315mm. Thinking of keeping the same balance on the Ezone, how much weight would i need on the tip of the frame??(i dont want to increse the weight of the frame much more than 5grs since im not that powerfull of a player)
    Thanks!

    yonex must be one the few racquet manufacturers (if not the only) that actually changes significantly their models on new releases.

    Have been getting used to blade v8 for a year. then i got the vcore 98 2023 and never had a good control as the blade. Have tried hyper G 48,50, 53 lbs, and confidential 53lbs. Still poor control and balls flew out quite often. Techniques or strings?

    did they just measure swingweight with the placard on? is that an anomaly or is that intentional..

    • @chuckfriebe843
      @chuckfriebe843 Год назад

      The placard weighs approx what the strings weigh, about 17 to 18 grams.

    • @userdjee834
      @userdjee834 Год назад +1

      @@chuckfriebe843 I've weighed many placards (10 to 15g) and measured many racquets on that same prince sw machine. however, air resistance is a huge factor..

    • @chuckfriebe843
      @chuckfriebe843 Год назад

      @@userdjee834 you are actually correct about that. However, it’s likely that the air resistance makes up for the extra 2 to 3 grams. I too have measured many racquets and in my experience the difference in SW with the placard on and with strings on are usually spot on.

    Beam dimensions are not an indicator for weight or stiffness. You don't know the thickness of the material, the amount of layers or the orientation of the fibers. You can have a 26mm beam that is way more flexible than a 16mm one, it just depends on the material and its layup.

  • @mfmukhtar786
    @mfmukhtar786 Год назад +8

    Any swing weight measurements taken with the placard on are going to be inaccurate because the placard would move when the racquet swings back and forth. Why you thought that was a good idea is beyond me. You could have easily taken the placards off to measure swing weight and then put them back in place.
    Average strung swing weight for current gen is 318. Average strung swing weight for last generation is 321 according to Tennis Warehouse measurements.

      They measured the swingweight with placards on for both rackets so it's still a controlled comparison between the two. I mean, it's still not there best way to do it, but not exactly incorrect for the purposes of this video.

    • @12GaugePadawan
      @12GaugePadawan Год назад

      TW has a swing weight of 318 so it looks like Harry did leave the placard in. I was hoping he had taken them out and then reinstalled them for the video.

    The new vcore racket looks promising… it has been 3 straight vcore model that become one of most hot selling tennis racket… ithink the yonex market share have steadily increasing.. for the past 5 years… and wilson is dropping, with more more top 10 male tennis player use other than wilson… especially when federer is retired…

    The measurements give me a stress headache. Half the time you guys didn’t know if you measured the grommets, too. 😂
    If you string the rackets anyway, you could have measured without the cardboard in there.
    Otherwise, great content for us gear nerds

    Not sure why you're leaving the cardboard on the racket when measuring SW. You should go for the base specs, unstrung. Can't trust the weight of the carboard compared to a full bed of string.
