Ah, very good tip about the driver update. I was searching for this for a long long long time already. Also the disable autofocus to be able to change aperture was one that wasn't obvious. So very informative video. Big thanks. You saved me quite a lot of time!

Great video! Could not find a solution sometime ago, now it works! One question. Is it better to use a "USB C to USB C thether cabel or a "USB micro to USB C" thether cabel? Both outputs on the camera work but I was wondering if one was beter than the other? Cheers.
Hey! Glad it helped ! So in theory USB-C is a faster port, it might make it a tiny bit faster, but considering the micro speed is like 450MBps and a raw file might have what, 50MB, it will still take just a fraction of a second to be there.
So does this mean I don't need Smart Shooter 5 in order to shoot tethered to my 16 inch M1 MacBook Pro? Sorry, I'm pretty late to the party! Thanks for the video info
hmmm the 6500 is not supported in this scenario, I really don't know, does it have any FTP or file transfer option ? On the A7III i did like that, it sent via FTP and then I put lightroom to import it automatically. A bit of a hack, but it worked !
Purtroppo a me il thetering su Sony Alpha7R4A non funziona....non rileva la fotocamera...ho provato di tutto sono due giorni che ci sto dietro..... Funziona soltanto con il programma di Sony con il Remote IEDT..... non so più cosa fare. La versione firmware della fotocamera è l'ultima , la versione di ligthroom è corretta è l'ultima, le impostazioni della fotocamera sono corrette altrimenti non funzionerebbe con il Remote di Sony....Mhà...un mistero

Me too ! There's a hack to use the Wifi to transfer files to a FTP server, and have lightroom import it, but it's much slower... There's a video on the channel if it can interest you !

What is the work around to tether wirelessly

The A7III is not supported ! You can use the wireless hack to do the tethering, search the video in the channel, I've got ya !

the iPad version is the Lightroom app and not Lightroom Classic right ? I haven't tried it, but i believe not! Gotta test !
