Do you have any idea when your hardware setup is ready. I have a Sony A7R5 and I can't get connected to LRC. I tried different options but it won't work. I think Its not the cable because tethering works with Imaging Edge. But I want to have it working with LRC. Thx in advance.
A few things to check: 1. You have PC Remote set to ON 2. PC Remote is set to USB 3. You have turned USB power to OFF 4. In PC Remote, make sure you have the Image Save Destination set to Set "Still Img. Save Dest." to "PC+Camera". Let me know if that works.
@@PhotoKitchen425 Thanks for your reply. I checked all the settings but the result was nada. I checked again with Imaging Edge Desktop and that works fine. I deleted the LRC config file and that also did not work. I also checked with different cables but also here no result. So I'm about to give up...
@@PhotoKitchen425 Yep. I always run the latest version of Adobe products. Capture One let me tether too. It seems that i'm the only one that has issues...
Hello @@prf4429, So I did some digging, and it sounds like Imaging Edge is causing issues. I’m having problems with tethering my Nikon Z6 3 and NX tether. Both say it’s compatible with my camera. I’ve bought a tether tools cable USB c to USB c my camera is not being picked up, I switched everything on and off, I’ve tried different usb c ports on my MacBook Pro , Ventura is up to date. Help would be great. I even tried the cable that came with my camera 🤦♀️🤦♀️😩
Not sure about NX tether needing to be part of the equation. Have you updated LRC? I know there were issues with Nikons and Sonys in older versions. Also make sure your USB Priority is set to "Shooting", and Autoplay is set to "Take No Action".
You are using a Sony A7RIV or A7RV camera here. Because somewhere I flashed information that only new models have the ability to tether with Lightroom , That is, that the older model A7RIV will not work. Is this the case?

Has anyone gotten this to work with a Sony A7RV and the latest version of MAC OS and LR Classic? I can tether Io Imaging Edge via WiFi but not with a USB-c cable. Cable is a small rig usb-c data cavle rated as fast enough to work. C

Not sure what you mean. When you shoot, or import, you can see the images, in the folder structured they were imported in LRC as in the Library Module, Left Column, Folders Panel. Your last import or tethered shooter should be listed under the Catalog Panel, same area, under Previous Import.
thanks for replying. Let’s say on day 1 I created a folder (team 1). I also created some more folders (more teams) On day 2 I want to add more pictures to my original team 1 folder. Is that possible?
Yes @@LuisMurciaLMXDIGITAL , when you do the tethered setup window, choose that Team one folder again. It might be already selected from the previous tethered shoot.
I use both Capture One and LRC and I see NO difference in speed (regardless of the subject I'm capturing) between the two - they both import and render the pictures pretty much at the same time. I'd like to see a video (if possible) of how LRC is slower than CP1.
I am working on a general tethering video, I will included this as part of it. Thank you for the suggestion. How many frames and megapixels are you shooing? I have noticed a difference in speed when I shoot a lot at once, and CP1 renders them faster.
@@PhotoKitchen425 I shoot the Canon R5 with 45mp (well now the R5 II) but haven't tested tethering with it yet. I did see someone do a tethering comparison video some time last year and they too noted no noticeable differences between the two. Looking forward to your comparison. Thanks
