I have to say for only being a year into the hobby you have a beautiful grasp on taking care of your spiders. This is the first video I've watched so I'm going to go through the rest of your stuff! Yeah I look forward to the rest of your videos this rehousing was very good and yeah they could be such a pain in the butt sometimes they just don't want to leave their old enclosure. Happy Keeping!!
This is super helpful as I just got the same enclosure for my G. Pulchra who looks about the same size as the one in the video! Couldn't have been more perfect.
Hi!!!! I'm a new subscriber! It's incredible this viedo is perfect! was really the first one? congrats!!! I loved it! Tarantula Cribs enclosures are my favorite and your set up is perfect! hope to see a new video soon greetings from Italy!!!! 💗
Truthfully so far you have done everything 100% proper actually you could moisten the under substrate like more towards the bottom that way when they dig they can dig towards moisture other than that you're doing a wonderful job!
The new enclosure came out looking fantastic! I have only owned jumping spiders so far but I am going to an expo this Saturday and I’m ready to get my first tarantula. I have been looking at g. Pulchras and hopefully I will be bringing one home on Saturday 😬
How big was your sling when you put them into this enclosure? I got a small slider crib and am looking into a 1 inch sling. I'm hoping it's not too small for the enclosure.
What a cutie! Where did you get him/her. I am getting back into the leggy friends from not having them for about 25 years. I havent made my choice yet on what breed but am really leaning towards one of these. How old is this guy and what size would he be considered. Has he gotten much bigger since the video. Thanks :)
I think those magnets might be a little too strong for some of these enclosures. They're gorgeous and I personally am going to get some, but when everybody's showing them snapping I can see the whole enclosure move as the lid snapshot. That's something that's probably going to piss the spider off, all that vibration.
You said to point out anything you might be doing wrong, well something I spotted was the fact that it's a bloody tarantula!!! You do know how scary spiders are do you?
Hahaha, admittedly, they're not for everyone, but they're truly fascinating creatures and not nearly as "evil" as some would say. You saw how his sling was. Gentle, docile... Put me in front of a common european house spider and I'll scream like a little girl. Show me a 7.5" jet black, thick bodied tarantula like the Grammostola pulchra, and I'll gaze upon it with wonderment and awe and have to restrain myself from picking it up for cuddles. I'm currently raising 6 babies myself and can't wait till they're all grown up.
Great display enclosure, getting a few of these myself. Gotta love tax refund time ! Only thing I'd say about your vid is that your G. pulchra isn't a fossorial species as you say at 2:01. The sling might like to burrow, but an awful lot of them do, I haven't seen my T. albopilosus in a couple of months, and my own G. pulchra spends extended time deep in her hide that she's also excavated underneath, but that behavior, in and of itself, doesn't make them fossorial species. It's just a survival instinct. Just saying, not trying to be a dick :)
great video and explanation of how to rehouse

Just lost a B Smithi to complications during a molt. Just ordered a G Pulchra and am really excited. Is this one still thriving?
My sling is the same size. Do you recommend this size enclosure for them?

Damn that burrow if it uses it as it’s main hide would be super cool.
I want one of those cribs. Dang it.
Awesome ! Im new too and getting a G pulchra sling soon :3 nice video
Hello,
Im looking for the same soil you be using in this video. I only find large coco fiber or for turtles.... thanks for helping !

Anyone else catch Rhett and Link in the background by the end?
Haha thanks for the video!
I used to like Rhett and link years ago, then they seemed to grow out of what made them likeable into standard RUclips fodder.

What substrate was it you used first?

They took a month to get my enclosures and the communication was terrible
unfortunately tarantula cribs aren't so affordable anymore
Jesus Loves all of you guys
You appear very yellow. How's your liver doing?
These enclosures are way too expensive
I think for the quality, it’s an amazing price. I highly recommend them!
